Tyler grinned at the permission to use her name. He liked Pickle, but Michelle was a pretty name and he thought it fit her well, even if she may not think so.
He felt almost relieved when she agreed to stay. How embarrassing if she had said no! It wasn't exactly a normal request. But even through his relief, his stomach flipped nervously. His heartbeat felt too strong, like he had recently sprinted. He caught himself staring at her as she gazed out the window. She looked magical in the moonlight. Light blue eyes with flecks of grey, flawless ivory skin and blonde hair like silk. It even felt like silk. Without even thinking about it, Tyler had reached out and taken a piece of her hair, playing with it idly. ...........Was he allowed to do that? Surely she would bat him away if it was unacceptable.
Nodding, he laid back onto his pillow, leaving enough space for her, if she so desired (and he tried not to think of how much he desired).
"It would be cool to see. You should see Minnesota. It's... well.. Minnesota."
Tyler shrugged, a small smile on his lips. It was hard to explain to someone exactly what Minnesota was like. But if Pickle asked, he'd sure as hell try his best to do so. He imagined her in Minnesota, bringing her fishing and camping, watching the stars from the hood of his truck during the winter, meeting his sisters and parents-
Aaaaaaaaand that was his imagination running off without him..

Pickle's scalp tingled, and caused her to visibly shudder before she glanced to the side and saw her hair lifted in Tyler's fingers. Color yet again rushed into her cheeks, and she watched his fingers. Her hair used to be a mousy, dull brown color until Kennedy bleached it out. With a lot of conditioning, and a few touch-ups, Pickle maintained the blonde color--growing fond of it. It was personal for someone to touch her head, and she found herself wondering if his fingers would find her bare shoulder, or her long neck.
But they didn't, because he laied backwards onto his pillow, leaving her feeling rather disappointed. "Maybe I'll go someday! We should do a trade-off." She grinned, and though. Mama and Papa would like Tyler, he was polite and nice. Mama would tease her, Papa would show Tyler how to make gumbo. They would have a delicious breakfast of beignets, and maybe she'd take him down to Burbon Street. The smell of home was trapped in her nose, and she tipped backwards falling next to him in a flurry of hair. She laced her fingers atop her stomach, and turned her head slightly to look at Tyler. Laying with a boy in his bed--but they weren't laying together-together, so it was okay, right? "What's Minnesota like? I've only ever seen bits of Louisiana and Mississippi, and of course New York." The air seemed only that much heavier, and it took Pickle to breathe deep, and slow to keep from panicking. But it didn't help that Tyler's scent was trapped in the pillow and the sheets, overwhelming her little nose with every deep breath she took. What Pickle is wearing. And something cute for Tickle shippers. Not sure on the whole whatever-Tyler-is-wearing. I just made that up. >

He was very pleased when she laid beside him. Turning towards her so he was laying on his side, he folded his arm underneath his head, watching her carefully. Would it be too much to just pull her close? She was just getting over the whole thing with RJ, after all.. Go to Louisiana? To see where she's from? Meet her family? Tyler's cheeks warmed considerably.
"That.. That would be great. We should do it."
Tyler had to think for a moment.
"It's.. Well, for one thing, there's trees and crops everywhere. It's green all over. Except in the fall, when all the leaves change, and the winter, when everything's white. One winter, we got snowed in at our cabin. The snow was over my head, it was so deep. There are lakes to swim in. Everywhere. There are lots of farms, with lots of different animals. And people are generally pretty nice."
Tyler watched her for a long moment, then reached out and tucked her hair behind her ear. Before he could stop himself, his hand traveled to her waist, pulling her against his chest. His eyes were intense as he stared at her. She was so close; their noses were nearly brushing. Waiting for a reaction. God, he wanted so badly to kiss her.

Pickle closed her eyes for a moment, rolling into her side as well as she tried to imagine it. She had gotten to see a New York winter; it didn't really snow in New Orleans. It was too muggy, too hot. It had its moments of getting cold...but people had to eat spicy food to sweat in order to stay cool. Thinking of the green all over made her smile, and the idea of a cabin painted peaceful images in her head. Lakes to swim in! That was the sad thing about New York, no rivers or oceans to play in. Just...concrete and more concrete.
She opened her eyes and grinned, taking a breath to tell him about New Orleans. To describe the city that was alive, right beneath your feet. Preparing all the right words, only to lose them when his hands found her again. The smile faded slightly from her face when his hand moved down to her thin wait and pulled her in closely. A boy had touched her waist before, but she had never been this close. Not where she could feel his breath, and the warmth radiating off of his skin. And she certainly had more on than a pair of tiny cotton shorts and a tank top.
He was impossibly close, and it was enough to make Pickle's head spin. She felt lightheaded and dizzy, and like she had been lit on fire in the absolute best possible way. Like a magnet, the closeness closed when Pickle curiously dipped her head in, pressing her lips against Tyler's, before drawing back. A quick, fleeting kiss that left her wide-eyed and staring at him. It was the first time that she had felt lips against hers, and she had no idea if that's how a kiss was supposed to go. But there was an electricity buzzing through her skin that she hadn't experienced before. One that made her desperately want to lean in again--but she was too busy watching Tyler's face to see if she had done something wrong. What Pickle is wearing. And something cute for Tickle shippers. Not sure on the whole whatever-Tyler-is-wearing. I just made that up. >

Tyler waited for a moment as she looked at him curiously. Suddenly her lips were on his and his eyes widened. He'd never been kissed before. Well. That wasn't entirely true. Back in 4th grade, Shelby Barnes had kissed him underneath the slide at recess. But since that short-lived relationship, he had rather bad luck with girls. He got along with them and was close with them. But they tended to like other guys, overlooking him as a friend. It was disappointing, but what could he do about it?
Nothing. Until the moment that Pickle Michelle kissed him. She pulled away after a moment, eyes watching him anxiously. His cheeks burned red. Tyler tipped her chin up and kissed her again, soft and sweet. He felt as if someone had set fire to the blood in his veins. Smiling, he tugged her closer, arms wrapping around her possessively.
Tyler rested his forehead against hers, eyes bright with excitement. She had long eyelashes.. Bah, distractions! He gave a low chuckle, looking a bit bashful.
"I think... I really like you, Michelle."

Keep it together, Pickle. Ignore that ringing in your ears, or the fact that you could no longer see Tyler. Ignore the fact that all you can sense is his lips on yours. Pickle repeated this in her head over and over as his fingers tilted her chin upwards and found her lips yet again. This one was different, not as quick, not as fleeting. Warm, melting, soft. It made her stomach tie in a knot and flutter at the same time, and her heart thrashed against her ribcage like a trapped bird.
She was happily drowning in the circle of his arms, and the warmth of his body. Her hands curled into tiny fists against his chest, before moving to rest on his upper arm where it was more comfortable. When his lips pulled back, she felt like she was able to breathe again, and when her eyes met his they had that same excitement. Tyler was different somehow, all sparked quite so suddenly. Just a few days ago she would have thrown herself at RJ's feet, and now it felt like every little flutter and tingle that she received from the boy couldn't hold a single flame to the surge of feelings taking over her body.
His words caused her to smile again, and this time she wasn't afraid to stare. Thoughts of RJ, Addison, and everyone else finally left her mind. "I think I like you too." She replied quietly, attempting to find her voice. It was there, somewhere. This was surreal in a strange way, it made her feel different. Like shw wasn't Pickle--like she was in some other person's body, living their wonderful life. Even with the makeover, even with feeling better about herself, she never really felt pretty or beautiful. Not until she got a good, close-up look at Tyler's glittering eyes. And that's all it took to make brand new doors open in her mind.
"Could you do that again?" She asked quietly, before echoing his shy chuckle, though the grin was spread onto her lips. What Pickle is wearing. And something cute for Tickle shippers. Not sure on the whole whatever-Tyler-is-wearing. I just made that up. >
