Beth yawned as she stripped down. After falling in a fountain, walking home through the over four feet of snow, and ten minutes of arguing, Beth had sneezed on Isaak's arm, and he'd freaked out and told her to get in the shower or he'd strip her himself and scrub her down until he thought she was clean. She'd commented that it didn't seem like a bad idea to her, but had run into the bathroom and locked the door behind her before he could go through with the threat. As much as she loved Isaak, she loved her skin being intact as well.
So here she was, turning on the hot water and leaving her friend to fend for himself out there. She began to think a time they'd had a major snowball fight. They had both been very young, and Elliot was barely in school. But they let him join in the fun, and they came home like walking snowmen yet again. They all went to Isaak's house and took a hot bath together, having hot chocolate and eating pretzels and watching movies.
That had been a good night. And she'd learned what a penis looked like, and asked Isaak's mother after she'd been dried why she didn't have one. His mother had said it was because she was a pretty little girl, and they were handsome little boys. Beth had then claimed that she wanted to be like Isaak and be a boy too. She'd just laughed, though...
"Isaak," Beth said, poking her head out of the door, though she was already naked. "You need a bath too. Come on, it'll be like old times and we'll be conserving water."

Isaak shooed Beth into the shower not five minutes after they got back to their dorm. Not only did she drag him into a fountain, but she sneezed on him too! The nerve! He had thrown his stale clothes into the hamper and pulled up his pajama pants (they have tea cups all over them c;). When Beth peeked her head out o the bathroom door, it took him a few moments to realize he wasn't wearing a shirt.
"You need a bath too. Come on, it'll be like old times and we'll be conserving water."
He had forgotten about that. Being little kids and sharing the tub between the three of them. He wondered if Beth could see that he was seriously considering her offer. "No Bethie." Isaak shook his head both at Beth and the fact he used the nickname that he made for her awhile ago. "Just take your bath." He shut the door on her and quickly began to put his plan into action.
Isaak sprinted across the room and threw seven or eight giant frozen pretzled into the small toaster oven. He quickly turned it on and went to the DVD player. He put in one of their favorite movies. "The breakfast Club" theme music bagan to play.
"HURRY UP BETH!" He shouted loudly.
He shut the lights off (except fot the hat shaped night light. Isaak really didn't like stubbing his toe in the dark on late night bathroom trips.)Isaak plopped down on the couch and paused the movie right before the title faded onto screen.
The faint ding of the toaster oven caused him to run up. Without thinking he grabbed the pretzels and plate with his bare hands. He made a huge cup of cheese to go with for good measure.
He settled into the couch and waited for Beth to join him.

So the first thing she registered was that Isaak wasn't wearing a shirt. Well, that made her feel better about the whole situation. She grinned at him, despite the fact that she was being shooed back into the shower. She giggled at her old nickname, and practically skipped into the shower, glad that she'd brought her own shampoo and soap. She didn't particularly want to smell like Isaak, though he did smell very clean most of the time. With these thoughts, she quickly washed up and shut off the water fifteen minutes later. She took rather quick showers, and didn't usually take so long, but it had been a while since she'd had such a nice shower to wash up in. There were a few perks to having your OCD best friend as a roommate.
She had just started blow-drying her hair, as she hated sleeping with her hair wet, when Isaak called from the room.
"HURRY UP BETH!"
After finishing drying off, she shut off the blow-dryer and heard some very exciting Music. "Isaak..." she quietly said to herself, biting her lip in an attempt not to smile so largely that her face might break if she tried. She quickly started looking around for a towel, but all she saw was the hand towel hanging next to the door. Iz wouldn't like her using that... But desperate times called for desperate measures. She slipped it off of it's hanging spot on the wall only after double-checking every cabinet and seeing there were indeed no towels. Sure, she'd brought her own... But both were in her mostly unpacked bag still at the foot of her bed. So she covered up the more sensitive area with the small towel and put one arm across her chest while the other held the towel in place. She sighed and stepped out of the bathroom.
"Isaak! Did it EVER occur to you to buy TOWELS!?" she asked when she came out, simply standing there glaring at him for a moment, then sighed again. "Well, lucky for you, I have some with me. They're not unpacked yet. I just thought you'd have some in the bathroom..." She wisely decided that nothing else would be accomplished in her nude state, and she practically sprinted over to her bag and quickly yanked on the first pair of underwear she found, along with a bra, as it seemed they wouldn't be going to bed yet. She slipped into plaid pajama pants and a plain light blue tank top, then shook her still slightly damp hair before skipping over to Isaak and finally taking in the scene.
Giant Pretzels were the first things she saw, and her heart skipped once. The Breakfast Club, their favorite movie, paused on the screen just before the epic song would start, her heart skipped twice. Isaak, shirtless and waiting to have a late-night, pretzel-eating, epic-movie-watching-party with her and her heart probably stopped for a minute. "Isaak you're awesome!" she yelled, hopping onto couch right next to him and then throwing her arms around his neck. "Thank yooooou!" she said, releasing him and adjusting so that she was sort of snuggling to him, but not enough to weird him out. Beth grabbed a giant pretzel and bit a chunk out of it, then nodded happily to Isaak as a cue to start the movie.

Isaak was about ready to get up and start to pace around the tiny room. Where in the world was the cute pink-haired girl who's attention he wanted so very badly. Was something wrong?
Did she drown?
His thoughts began to whirl. Something bad happened! He had a bad feeling, he kne-
Did he say cute?
Before he could ponder this thought further, a raging Beth burst into the room. An audible sigh of relief escaped his lips. "Isaak! Did it EVER occur to you to buy TOWELS!?" Yes, it had occurred to him. But she should have know he wouldn't let her USE them.... "Well, lucky for you, I have some with me. They're not unpacked yet. I just thought you'd have some in the bathroom..."
He was going to respond. Honestly, he was. But then something hit him. Kinda like a brick would hit someone in the face reaaaally hard.
BETH WAS NEKKID.
He didn't really do anything either except stare. And stare. And stare. Eventually he pulled his gaze away and allowed her privacy to change. But then, when they were on the couch, she snuggled into him.
His heart soared.
Isaak played the movie. When it got to the part at the end, between the "criminal" and the "princess" (WINKYWINKWINK) He Gently pulled Beth's attention from the screen. He recited the last few lines, and kissed her.
Just like the movie.
And he was praying, PLEADING really, for it to end in a nice way. Or another kiss or two would work.

Beth snuggled in closer to Isaak as the movie played. She mouthed her favorite lines along with the characters, laughed along in all of the right places, and tapped Isaak's shoulder sometimes to alert him of a part she liked about to happen. She jumped when she was shocked, though she wasn't sure how she managed to be after seeing it so many times. She even cried a little, and giggled as she tried not to glance at Isaak when it became obvious that the basket case and the athlete were falling for each other. Alison was her favorite character in this anyways, and she'd recreated her sandwich several times, always keeping a plethora of corn pops and pixie sticks wherever she was staying.
She frowned as the end scene came into play. Had it really gone by that quickly? Was it all truly over now? Well, she'd probably watch the movie several more times before she fell asleep, as she often did with her favorite movies. This was most of the reason she always memorized the lines and why she'd originally gotten interested in acting. Her mother had the same habit, and eventually got Beth doing the same thing. As different as they were, they were related, so some things were bound to end up similar.
But enough about home life, time to come back to the present. Beth ate the last bite of a giant pretzel just before the very end of the movie, swallowed, and was just about to stand when Isaak called her attention. So she remained sitting and smiled at Isaak, leaning back onto him as he recited the last few lines. Beth tried to giggle at this, but the next thing she knew, his lips were on hers.
So Beth was now pretty sure her heart had left her body altogether, soared off on wings that had not been there until this very moment. She couldn't breathe, but she couldn't care less and she couldn't be happier. He broke off the kiss much too early, and there was no way she was letting him get away with just that. Beth scooted ever closer to him and their lips met again, her arms wrapping around his neck in a way of telling him that it was HER turn and he was NOT getting out of it until SHE decided she was finished.
Eventually, she ran out of air, and she sat back, her arms dropping from his neck, though the one on his side managed to find his hand. "Well..." Beth began, taking deep breaths, still not exactly processing what she and her best friend had done. "That was... different..." she said, looking back at Isaak nervously. What if he'd just been caught up in the moment? What if he hadn't really meant it, and what if he definitely hadn't wanted her to kiss him. And anyways, she was pretty sure they both tasted like cheese and salt right now, and though it wasn't always the most pleasant taste, right now it was near heavenly.
After a moment or two, she got up the guts to ask the question that was on her mind. Though, even as she said it, she refused to look up at his reaction, in case it was something she wouldn't be able to stand, and settled for watching her thumb trace circles on the back of his hands while her fingers anxiously tightened their grip on his. "So... What now?"

"C'mere Bethie."
He gestured for her to climb into his lap. He knew what he had to do not that he had kissed her. He should explain to her everything. Why he hugged her more than necessary. Why he kissed her. Why he loved her. He thought about the last part for a moment. 'I do. I do love her.' When Beth didn't budge, Isaak pulled her over into his embrace. He began to her everything he loved about her. She needed to hear every detail, after all. She deserved to know. He mumbled a lot but, he was sure Beth understood most of it. "That pink hair of yours. It makes you so adorable and frilly and girly and I love it. Well, I love you but that's not the point." He pulled her even closer to him. She smelled so clean... it was nice, comforting. She was warm and soft and reminded him of their home. He continued. By this time, Isaak had grown intesley more confident. "You've been there for me, a friend, a sister, and now a lover. Beth you are amazing and wonderful and I'll never be able to take my eyes off you. You standing there naked didn't help me at ALL either...." He stopped. He was rambling and he knew it. He kissed Beth lightly as if to say: "See? I DO love you, and I don't want you to forget it!" When Isaak pulled away, he looked at Beth. She seemed to glow, and it made his heart melt. Beth was blushing like mad and she knew it. She didn't budge when he told her to come, but allowed herself to be moved by him, then adjusted into a more comfortable position. He was probably just going to scold her, tell her that she was being silly and they'd always be the best of friends. She could live with that... Maybe. Then again, she could also maybe live if she was stabbed through the stomach, or had a hole punched in her long. Not for long, and it was unlikely that she would anyways, but there was a chance, however small. This would basically be the same as either of those situations, and she'd probably press on anyways, just so Isaak wouldn't blame himself. She loved him too much...
'Do I? Do I REALLY love him SO MUCH that I wouldn't care what happened to me, so long as he was safe and happy?'
Beth considered that for a moment, then nodded to herself. 'Yes. I really, truly do love him,' she confirmed in her mind, getting up the confidence to look him in the eyes and smile before he started speaking. Before he started telling her that she was a sister, not lover material, and he loved her, but not in that way. She was prepared for this speech, and was already thinking out how to respond to hi-
"That pink hair of yours. It makes you so adorable and frilly and girly and I love it. Well, I love you but that's not the point." You've been there for me, a friend, a sister, and now a lover. Beth you are amazing and wonderful and I'll never be able to take my eyes off you. You standing there naked didn't help me at ALL either...."
Wait, WHAT!?
"Isaak..." Beth began, biting her lip at how thick her voice sounded. She was about to freaking CRY, she was so happy! "Isaak, I love you!" she exclaimed, throwing her hands around his neck. "I don't know when or how it happened, but I love you so much I feel like I'm about to burst open, and I don't know HOW I could have not known until now!" Beth answered, not caring that her words weren't as pretty as his. One thing was for sure, she wasn't going to be changing her hair color any time soon. "Iz, you're amazing. How can you be so amazing to me? I'm nothing special, yet you love me..." Beth said, her mind yelling at her now. 'You just confessed your love for each other and you're trying to SECOND GUESS HIM!? What the heck!?' But she needed to know. She wasn't that special, she didn't deserve something this good, and yet she had it and her heart was beating louder than it ever had before.

He was ready for rejection.
He seriously thought that Beth was going to slap him. Then she would most likely move out and get a new room mate. Knowing just how... lucky she was, Beth would probably get Elliot as a roomie. This wouldn't help him in the least. Then he would have to worry about Ellie stealing the girl he cared for and he wasn't sure he could handle that. But then Beth spoke up.
"Isaak, I love you!"
Isaak Simmers : General reaction ;; "lolwut?" But she continued.
"I don't know when or how it happened, but I love you so much I feel like I'm about to burst open, and I don't know HOW I could have not known until now!Iz, you're amazing. How can you be so amazing to me? I'm nothing special, yet you love me..."
Isaak took his hand, and put it over her pretty little mouth.
"I love you. Now accept it, and let's watch Bender be a smart ass, shall we?"
He played the movie again while cuddling closer to Beth. 'So this is it then? That was all it took. We're together now....' Isaak quite enjoyed the way their names sounded together. Like they were made for each other. After the fourth run of the movie, Isaak decided that they needed some sleep (even if there was no school tomorrow). While Beth began to shuffle toward her bed, Isaak had another idea. A rather coy grin found its way onto his face. "And just where" He winked.
