Rose rushed into the bathroom, her eyes flashing with rage. He didn't think he had ever seen her so angry. "You're insane, you know that. I can't keep up with you. It's like dealing with a fucking woman. Oh, I'm going to say this, but really mean this. Oh yeah, I don't do girlfriends, la di dah! Fuck you!" He stared at her, eyes filled with pain and confusion by her outburst. What, this was all his fault? He hadn't planned on this happening. She shoved him, but not enough to hurt. Removing her shirt, she looked at him, cheeks flushed with her anger. "You know, I didn't ask for you to complicate everything. I didn't say: 'Oh please Mr. Neighbor Guy, please fuck me! I need you, I have to have you, blah blah blah.'" He wanted to laugh. It was fairly comical, had it not been so serious. "I'm trying to do exactly what we agreed to do, exactly what we both said suited us, but that makes ME this awful, soulless, evil, harpy who runs on pure bitch fumes! Well, I'm happen to be VERY HAPPY with my life, thank you very much Guillermo! I like that I'm alone. I like that I depend on me. I like that I'm about to use your shower, because I'm not getting yelled at by the land lady for tracking peanut butter in the hall because YOU CAN'T USE TWO FUCKING KNIVES!" Still wearing half of her clothes, she moved past him, into the shower. He stood in a stunned silence. He burned with rage, his chest like a consuming fire. She flung her shorts over the shower curtain. Then he heard her sigh deeply. "Just....Please get in here. I... want a hug." Her voice sounded broken, like she was throwing int the towel. He should yell at her. He should throw her out. He should walk away and never come back. His anger evaporated in the steam. The fire in his eyes dimmed to embers as he stepped into the shower, fully dressed and held her. Guillermo could never believe the way this girl made him feel. He began to chuckle quietly, still holding her, glad that the water fell into his face, masking the tears that came into his eyes. Tears of frustration and sadness and love. "You are the craziest girl I've ever met, Rose Mercer." He kissed the top of her wet, sweet smelling hair lightly.

He entered the shower, enveloping his arms around her, pulling her in close. There it was. That weird human feeling. It relaxed her, and made her anxious all at once. Was that... love? Rose shuddered a little, but dismissed the thought. No, not love. Rose couldn't love. But that didn't mean she didn't care. She cared about Guillermo. More than she should...
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a throaty chuckle coming from above her. She looked up, perplexed. He was laughing? Wasn't she just screaming at him a second ago? He was so strange. "You are the craziest girl I've ever met, Rose Mercer." She blinked, stunned at the queerly merry way he said this. So... everything was back to normal? They're relationship was like a sitcom. In thirty minutes, no matter what happened in those thirty minutes, everything went back to normal. Nothing was changed, everything was peaceable and calm.
He kissed her hair, which was starting to resemble rope that had been lost at sea, scraggly and lose. She undid the braids, watching him closely. Had he gotten in here dressed? And she was the crazy one? Well, she was still partially dressed. Remedying this, she turned away, removing her bra. ""Your cloths are getting soaked." Her voice was slightly hoarse from yelling, but calm and cool. "You should take them off."
She smirked at the insinuation, reaching for the shampoo, and rubbing it into her scalp, the smell of peanut butter clouding the bathroom as the steam took it. With the suds soaking in, she glanced back at him, her blue eyes particularly minxish, as she removed her last piece of clothing.

OUTFIT Also with a coat and some sunglasses. Jeny had been in New York for three days before she decided it was time to see her brother. And she had been enjoying herself. True, three years of saving money from working at the Dairy Queen in Illinois was out the window, and she was, for lack of a better term, broke. But she had gotten the whole New York experience before Guillermo could com in and be a cranky ass and spoil her fun.
So she trove her little, yellow, bug to the shady apartment complex. It definitely looked like his style. Truth be told, Jeny was nervous. What if he was mad? An angry Guillermo was never fun to deal with. When provoked, or thought to be provoked, Guillermo could be straight up cruel. But there was always the danger of him not being anything at all. He certainly hadn't bothered to pick of his phone the day their Father passed. Maybe he didn't even know that she was Missing in Action.
Stepping out of her car, she flattened her hot pink skirt, and smoothed her long brown hair anxiously. The white blouse clung to her, loose some places, snug in others. Her fishnets spilled down her legs, and her bomber boots were so shiny she could check her make up in them.
Taking a deep breath, ready to make a plunge, she locked her car and looked at the apartment building. Her doe eyes widened. Crap, which apartment? Jeny checked her pockets, looking for the piece of paper. A faint memory of her wrapping a piece of gum with a scrap of paper ran through her mind, and she cursed under her breath.
Fantastic.
Now what?
She looked around, seeing a good looking, scruffy gentleman leave his car. "Excuse me!" She said, her bubble gum voice filling the parking lot. She ran up to the stranger, holding her coat close to her body, pepper spray ready in case he was a creep. "Excuse me? Do you know someone named Guillermo Salas-Ortiz?" Hopefully, this Sir could be of assistance.

Bitches love me cause they know that I can rock Bitches love me cause they know that I can rhyme Bitches love me cause they know that I can fuck Bitches love me cause they know that I'm on time
Seth's stereo was the only thing worth anything in his entire car. On the way home from the grocery store, he blasted the music as loud as it would go, head banging and drumming on the steering wheel as he strolled down the busy New York Road. Seth had spent the morning cleaning the apartment, and now that that was completed, the house in great need of food.
Having no job, basically made Seth the houseboy. But at least he was good at it.
Throughout the projects Throughout the projects Throughout the projects
The music got him pumped, and he was ready! Ready for what? NO CLUE! JUST READY! A clean house made for a content Seth, and soon food would be there as well. Maybe he would do a few celebratory shots with Guillermo. Maybe he'd go and throw some moves on Rose. Hell, maybe he'd just finally tell her. The music stopped, as he turned off his car, getting out and reaching for groceries. Seth couldn't help the little jump that happened when he heard a sweet little voice ring in his ear. "Excuse me!" He turned to see a very familiar pair of brown eyes. Did he know this girl? No... he would have remembered her. "Excuse me? Do you know someone named Guillermo Salas-Ortiz?"
What the tick?
Seth nodded slowly, handing the girl a bag. "Know em? I live with the guy." Seth and Guillermo never really discussed their personal lives. It was unnecessary, to be honest. Their friendship was unstable as it was, more an uneasy peace between them for the sake of a girl. So Seth had no way of knowing that this attractive young lady was Guillermo's little sister. All he knew was that their was a hottie requesting for his rival's attention.
Ziiiing.
What have we here?
Former girlfriend? She did seem to have Rose's fashionista quality about her.
Epic.
"Fourth floor, third door to the left. I can bring you if you like. I think he was going to study or something today." Seth couldn't help the friendly grin, as his day was getting continually better.

She undid her braids, then removed the rest of her clothing. "Your cloths are getting soaked. You should take them off." He looked down at his clothes soaking in the water like sponges. She smirked at him, and he removed his clothing, his smile infectious. Rose scrubbed her hair with the generic shampoo, her hair turning a dark brown color from the water. Glancing back at him, her eyes were impish again, and he wondered briefly how long this would go on. He shook the thought from his mind, however and grabbed the shampoo to rinse the jelly from his hair. The blue sugar ran down his face and he smiled at Rose, also covered in condiments. He leaned forward and kissed her, enjoying the cinnamon-y taste with the blueberry and peanut butter. He loved this girl. A lot.

The suds were almost all rinsed from Rose's hair, when Guillermo leaned forward to kiss her. God, she loved how he kissed, the citrus odor of his breathe, the slight (but conservative) movements of his tongue. It was infectious. He was like the greatest disease that ever existed. Rose wrapped her arms around his neck, returning the kiss. Half of her was glad for the subsiding drama. The other half... well. She couldn't pin point it. It made it a little easier to ignore.
"You know," She said, her lips grazing over his softly as she spoke. "I do believe we make the sexiest peanut butter and jelly sandwich out there." She giggled, pulling him closer. The water beneath them was a swirl of color, mostly a rich purple, with the red and blues blending sweetly. It was pretty.
She kissed him again, heavier, more lustful than before. Her teeth tugged his lips closer, her eyelids falling. Damn, this boy could kiss. Rose had kissed her fair share of guys... some might even go so far as to of called her a bit of a ho. But none of those guys seemed to kiss quite like Guillermo. That was why, she reasoned, Rose hadn't seen any other guys since this liaison started. Even if she wouldn't admit it, they seemed to have a monogamy thing going on. The closest thing Rose had had to a relationship.
This weird, jacked up, unconventional, tense thing she had with Guillermo. "Guillermo..." She didn't pull away, not wanting to look him in the eyes as she said this. Despite the warm water, goosebumps had covered her. "I-I don't know... if I can give you what you want." Her words were slow, similar to the business like tone, but warmer. With more feeling. "But I... I... care about you. So. I'll give you. What I can. Alright?" Her words were vague, a little skittish. What could she give him? Basically what she had been. But they had never talked about her being with anyone else. That had been left to Guillermo's imagination, sort of on purpose. A defense mechanism against him thinking he had too much power.
She felt selfish, but relieved to have told him that she cared.
It was a leap, for Rose.

Jeny watched the young man nod, as he handed her a bag. Perplexed, she took it, her eyes widening as he spoke. "Know em? I live with the guy." What? Guillermo have a roommate? Unlikely. Guillermo was about as social as a rabid wolverine, unless he was going to get some tail out of it. Well... okay, maybe that was an exaggeration. Still, he was never the roomie type. Jeny watched the stranger with anticipation, as he gathered up the rest of the groceries. "Fourth floor, third door to the left. I can bring you if you like. I think he was going to study or something today."
Now, there was something a little concerning about a guy offering to take you into his apartment. For ANY reason. But he was her only lead. And his smile was really nice. Yeah, she wasn't a baby. She had her Pepper Spray. She could take care of herself. "Alright." She said, her voice brave.
She followed the fellow up the stairs, watching him closely for any sudden movements. He seemed alright. Kind of goofy, kind of cute. "So, how did you meet Guillermo? You two go to school together?" Her round brown eyes watched inquiringly, her smile wide, exposing her dimples. "Oh, I'm Jeny, by the way."

Seth lead her up the stairs, his grin unending. So, Guillermo had secret, little, hot ass, girlfriends. Awesome. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. "So, how did you meet Guillermo? You two go to school together?"
Seth chuckled, having had barely achieved a G.E.D. "Uh, no. Friend of a friend. Nice guy." He looked the girl over, taking in everything, not quite sure why she looked so familiar. She didn't have any trace of a Brooklyn accent, so it wasn't that she was a face from home. This was going to bother him.
"Oh, I'm Jeny, by the way." Jeny. It was a nice name. Sweet even. It matched her voice and those eyes.
"Seth. I am, I mean." He chuckled, never have had very much savvy talking to the fairer sex. Clearing his throat, he reached to unlock the door. "Guess it's good I cleaned up, I wasn't expecting him to... have.. company..." His voice trailed off as he saw the state of the house.
Peanut butter.
And Jelly.
EVERYWHERE.
Mashed into the carpet.
Splattered to the walls.
HOW THE HELL WAS THERE JELLY ON THE CEILING?
Seth ventured into the kitchen, finding it in a similar state, fuming a little. But there was company. He couldn't fly off the handle at the moment. Hearing the shower, Seth looked at the guest friendly. "One moment." And he ventured down the hall, not bothering to knock on the bathroom door. "Dude, what the shit?" He snapped, suddenly overwhelmed with peanut butter odor. Gross. "I spent all fucking morning cleaning, and now the house looks like a fucking disaster zone! HOW the shit did you get jelly on the ceiling."
Just a tick.
Those shorts weren't Guillermo's. At least... he hoped they weren't. Ugh, that put some unsettling images in his head. But the most logical explanation was that Rose was there, in the shower with him. Jealousy panged Seth, but then he remembered the little guest in the living room. "Oh! Yeah, and there's some hot chick looking for you. She's waiting in the living room." Seth spoke casually, as if he didn't realize Rose was on the other side of the curtain. "Seriously dude. Dayam. So yeah, I'll just have her wait." He didn't wait for a response, for fear he'd be ordered to turn the pretty girl away.
Oh no.
This was a scarce victory for Seth. And he was savoring it.

"You know," She said, her lips grazing over his softly as she spoke. "I do believe we make the sexiest peanut butter and jelly sandwich out there." "I agree. It makes me want to have pb&j more often.." She giggled, then kissed him again. "Guillermo..." He suddenly felt uneasy. She spoke against his shoulder, her voice vibrating over his skin. "I-I don't know... if I can give you what you want." Her words were slow and soft, and his heart sank. "But I... I... care about you. So. I'll give you. What I can. Alright?" His heart was beating so hard he thought she might hear it. She cared about him. He lifted her a little, hugging her, then set her down. Then he kissed her hard. He didn't care that she didn't love him. She cared, and that was all he needed now. God, he loved her. The bathroom door was flung open, shattering his moment of happiness. "Dude, what the shit?" Seth's voice snapped at him through the shower curtain. "I spent all fucking morning cleaning, and now the house looks like a fucking disaster zone! HOW the shit did you get jelly on the ceiling." There was a pause and Guillermo swore under his breath. He had definitely noticed Rose's clothes strewn about. What he heard next made his eyebrows do the caterpillar thing again. "Oh! Yeah, and there's some hot chick looking for you. She's waiting in the living room." Seth spoke casually, and Guillermo glanced fearfully down at Rose. Who the hell was it? "Seriously dude. Dayam. So yeah, I'll just have her wait." And Seth left. Left him to await his doom. Bastard. He got out of the shower, determinedly avoiding Rose's gaze. He dried himself and slipped on his sweatpants, venturing cautiously into the hall. He caught sight of Seth and imagined throttling him. Then his attention was drawn to the doorway. A small girl with dark brown hair stood with wide eyes, looking happy as a clam. "Jenyfer?" How did she get here? Could she have picked a worse time to come? Hot chick....Seriously dude.....Dayam... Then Guillermo's eyes narrowed, throwing out his hand and hitting Seth on the back of his head. "That's my sister, you asshole!"

His voice was like honey. Citrusy honey, which sounded weird, but worked for Rose. "I agree. It makes me want to have pb&j more often.." She giggled, raising her eyebrows up and down a little. He seemed to take her words about caring deeply, as she felt her self get lifted off from her feet, and put back down. Probably not the safest thing to do in the shower, but Rose could only giggle at the embarrassing call to the emergency room that would arise from a mishap happening with that. And then he kissed her, hard, her heart fluttering like a hummingbird wing, as her fingers laced themselves in his thick, wet, hair.
And then Seth came.
Of course.
"Dude, what the shit? I spent all fucking morning cleaning, and now the house looks like a fucking disaster zone! HOW the shit did you get jelly on the ceiling." Rose grinned guiltily. She had warned Guillermo that he'd have a fit. "Oh! Yeah, and there's some hot chick looking for you. She's waiting in the living room. Seriously dude. Dayam. So yeah, I'll just have her wait." Rose's smile vanished, as Guillermo's eyes widened. Oh, was she not suppose to hear that.
She took a step back, her jaw set firmly. Hot girl, huh? Dayam, huh? Lovely. Fantastic. Wonderful. Good for him. No, it wasn't the least bit awkward that Rose was now either going to have to hide in his bedroom, OR do the walk of shame. Bah, whatever, it wasn't a big deal though, right. Her blue eyes stared accusingly, but she said nothing other than a quiet, 'Huh', before she stepped out and wrapped herself in a towel.
Instead of going to Guillermo's room, she instead went to Seth's, finding a pair of basketball shorts and a tee-shirt to wear. There was no way Rose was preforming the walk of shame in Guillermo's cloths.
She walked out to the living room in time to hear Guillermo's incredulous voice. "Jenyfer?" Rose stopped in the entrance of the hallway. Jenyfer. His sister. Her jealousy subsided, instantly turning to slight remorse and surprise. Hadn't Jeny gone missing? Guillermo seemed to think that was something to be dealt with at another time, as he whacked Seth upside the head. "That's my sister, you asshole!" Rose was unsure if he was upset about the 'hot chick' comments, or the moment of confusion it had caused. Still, the indignation was cute. Rose giggled a little, before choking it back and hovering further into the hallway.
There was no denying that she had just been in the shower with Jeny's brother. The wet hair gave them away. And, though Rose was not that into appearances, she'd rather not have Jeny's first impression of her be 'that chick my brother was banging in the shower the first time I saw him in blank years'.

"Uh, no. Friend of a friend. Nice guy." Well, wasn't Guillermo Mr. Popularity. He introduced himself, a little awkwardly, but in a cute way. Not a serial killer way. "Seth. I am, I mean. Guess it's good I cleaned up, I wasn't expecting him to... have.. company..." Seth looked in, stunned at the state of the house.
Jeny had to admit, it was bad. And Seth did not appear to be the least bit pleased. Nice one, Guillermo. Nice. "Well, I was expecting a lot worse. He's not exactly known for tidiness..." Jeny said, softly, hopping out of the way as jelly dripped on to the carpet. Seth vanished for a moment, leaving Jeny too look around.
Well, Guillermo definitely lived here. She'd recognize those boots anywhere. Ugly, tatted things. She ventured around, looking closely at his stereo system, not surprised to find the apartment blank and lifeless. Soon Seth returned, receiving a quiet smile from Jeny. He seemed to have things on his mind. Moments later, Guillermo came out, staring at her in shock, with a pretty girl hovering behind him nervously. "Jenyfer?" She smiled, waving lightly, as if she were expected. Guillermo's attention was drawn to Seth, his bark having not changed much since she had last seen him. "That's my sister, you asshole!"
Jeny scoffed, but ran up to hug her brother. He smelled like soap and peanuts. Glancing at the wary girl, over his shoulder, her eyebrow lifted. "Down Killer, he's been very sweet." She kept her tone light, as she pulled back, giving a pointed glance at his little girl toy thing. "Whose your friend?"

Seth barely saw Jeny's smile, as he dwelt on his thoughts. What exactly had he interrupted there? Surprisingly, sex was on the top of his wish list. Not that he, in anyway, shape, or form liked the idea of Guillermo having sex with Rose. At all. But them showering together, and not doing, seemed to indicate something a bit more intimate than sex. It irked him deeply.
Grabbing some paper towel, he started cleaning the mess that they had turned the apartment into. Oh, he so annoyed right now. Seriously, couldn't they have at least contained it to one room? And what the hell had started this? He shuddered a little, as foreplay came to mind. Guillermo was such a bastard.
Speaking of the bastard, he came out, looking shocked. Oh, he recognized her. "Jenyfer?" Seth ignored the scene, watching Rose step out, her face apprehensive. There was something everyone else seemed to of grasped that he didn't. This annoyed Seth greatly. Of course, her preferred it to being slapped upside the head. "That's my sister, you asshole!"
Seth held up the jelly stained paper towel threateningly. "Don't start with me right now man, I am so not in the mood." His ears turned a shade red, as Rose giggled.
"Down Killer, he's been very sweet." Seth gave a small grin and shrug, continuing scrubbing the mess off the floor. Well, at least someone was on his side. "Whose your friend?"
Seth's pale blue eyes looked up, seeing Rose backing away deeper into the protection of the hall. Poor Rose, that had to suck. Still, the mess, and the fact that she and Guillermo were STILL going at it, despite his patience, made his sympathy a little limp. Sighing, he focused on the wall.

He just stared at his sister, mouth agape. What the hell?"Don't start with me right now man, I am so not in the mood." Seth held the dirtied paper towel as if it were a deadly weapon. Guillermo glared at Seth. He didn't give a fuck about the kitchen. Not when Seth was calling his LITTLE SISTER hot. Jeny bounced up and hugged him. He didn't hug her back, if only out of pure shock. "Down Killer, he's been very sweet." Seth gave a small grin and shrug, continuing scrubbing the mess off the floor. He glowered at Seth before Jenyfer's statement caught his attention. "Whose your friend?" Oh.. He cleared his throat, running a hand through his dripping hair. "Um.. Well, Jeny, this is my uh... Rose. Rose lives next door. And Rose, my half-sister, Jenyfer." Guillermo suddenly scoffed. Why was he having to explain things? "What the hell are you doing here, little Miss-Runaway? Your mom has been on my ass, trying to find out where you are!"

Rose closed her eyes, wanting to vanish. She did not belong in this family reunion of sorts. "Whose your friend?" Please mean Seth, please mean Seth. She opened her eyes, seeing the rounder Guillermo-esque eyes on her. Gulping, she cursed silently, forcing out a strained smile as pink crept on to her cheeks.
Guillermo didn't seem to know how to respond to this, at first. "Um.. Well, Jeny, this is my uh... Rose. Rose lives next door. And Rose, my half-sister, Jenyfer."
"Nice to meet you." Rose said, her voice oddly quiet, trying to focus on making herself turn invisible.
Guillermo seemed to have other concerns on his mind. "What the hell are you doing here, little Miss-Runaway? Your mom has been on my ass, trying to find out where you are!" Despite his brusque tone, Rose knew that he had been worried. And then, here she was, perfectly fine. The irritation was understandable.
This seemed like a personal matter though, so Rose went to Seth's aid, helping him clean up the mess of war. "Sorry Seth, it's my fault. I- uh- found peanut butter in my jelly." Seth would understand. He knew how she was. She gave a sheepish grin, knowing it would be a dick move just to leave him with all this.

"Um.. Well, Jeny, this is my uh... Rose. Rose lives next door. And Rose, my half-sister, Jenyfer." He spoke oddly. Why didn't he say friend. And why was he all stuttery about it? Hadn't this been the same guy who would give a flippant nod and leave introductions at 'A friend' before. What, now girls had names? And Jeny hated the emphasis on the HALF part of her title. Whatever, seriously. It wasn't like she was raised in a different home or something.
His, uh, Rose gave Jeny a strained smile. "Nice to meet you." Jeny raised an eyebrow, but before she could get a greeting out, Guillermo was chewing her out.
"What the hell are you doing here, little Miss-Runaway? Your mom has been on my ass, trying to find out where you are!" Jeny scoffed, watching Rose come over to help Seth, who scrubbed the mess with a passion.
"Yeah, I see you're dripping with concern..." She gave a brief glance at Rose. "The both of you, apparently." Jeny gave him a knowing smile, before going and making herself comfortable on a non-splattered part of the couch. "And I'm not technically a runaway. Eighteen now. It's called moving out, remember?" There was an edge to her voice, as the memory of him taking off basically over night came into fruition.
Jeny heard Rose mutter to Seth. "Sorry Seth, it's my fault. I- uh- found peanut butter in my jelly."
Jeny raised her eyebrow, quizzically at Guillermo. What kind of crazy ass chick was he hooking up with? Of course, it could be an innuendo. A pretty literal innuendo, but still. She raised her eyebrows, deciding not to care. "Can you pretend to be even a little happy to see me? I don't know if your aware, but El Paso is a ways away. How about some warmth?"
