The city was looking a little dark to Dimah at the moment, but when her sunglasses slid down on her nose, she realized why. Sometimes her fashion just came naturally without much forethought, but she always looked good, whether she planned the outfit the night before or threw something on from her master walk-in closet. Her walk-in closet in the living room wasn't as well-stocked as the closet in her bedroom, so she rarely ever walked into that one.
Fortunately, she dug through the right one that morning. Her little session at the night club that morning went a little overboard after her second bottle of vodka. At least it was a high-end night club...or...was it? Things were just too blurry to remember anything past a few hours. Dimah just needed some recovery time at the boutiques to get her thoughts straightened up.
Hah. Me. Straight. The only time my name and the word straight should ever be used together is when speaking of my sexuality.
It turned out that sunglasses in the city on a cloudy day weren't necessarily the best idea. At least, not after a hard core drunken party in the middle of some pretty heavy traffic, so Dimah concluded that taking off her high fashion Gucci glasses was probably one of the best decisions she'd made in quite a while. Well, quite a while since she remembered any decision-making going on up there.
Finally, she made it to the stores. It was almost like rehab without all the crazy counselors and doctors watching your every move, and it was free. Free to look around...well, then it really wasn't free, but still. Better than old fashioned rehab.

Victoria really hated it when her friends just went off and abandoned her during the summer. Disney World sounded like a blast but it was waaay too expensive with her limited funds. So here she was at a boutique. This statement, plus her outfit, would have made her friends think she was abducted by an alien. Which was why she was doing this now. No friends, no judgment, plus no one to tell her father about this. It's true Victoria wasn't "cutsie" or girly with personality but she really liked designing outfits. She even had those games online that let you design outfits. She even ordered a subscription of Seventeen magazine and was waiting for it to come in the mail. She liked living in her dorm alone but still hid all of the ones she bought at stores. It kinda freaked her out how fast this fashion obsession came on. Maybe it was a rebellion to her dad's strictness. No skirts or dresses since her mom died made pants extremely unappealing. Now she was spending her last of her saved funds and tips from the park on an outfit she could only wear this summer. After looking at some things, Victoria debated on buying a sewing machine and learning to sew instead. Ha, a sewing machine is soooo inconspicuous. Victoria held a lacy purple blouse up to her face and stepped back to see more of herself in the mirror and ended up running into someone. She turned around and blushed, "I'm SO sorry ma'am."Outfit: www.polyvore.com/victoria_shopping/set?id=23795379

{Looks like it took me a little longer than I thought lol}
Dimah sighed and began to look through displays of clothing, but she didn't find anything stylish that she didn't already own. Maybe she needed to space out her visits to these places or just shop at lower class stores. Department stores...just the title made her feel sick. To think, there were actually stores that didn't sell only designer clothing. Maybe the other side of the store would have something...
When she turned around, though, a girl bumped into her. Fortunately, she apologized, but Dimah wasn't feeling great that day. She was about to give some kind of smart remark, but something in her just wanted to burst out in tears. She wasn't sad...was she? Hangovers didn't usually cause bipolar feelings...
"Anastasia!"
What the...? Dimah didn't just say that! Well, she didn't mean to!
"Oh, Anastasia, how long has it been?!" She ran up and started to hug her, but Dimah stopped, looking at her hands for a moment. Something was going on here....and she wasn't drunk this time....

As Victoria turned around to face the woman she saw that it was an older lady with a high end fashion sense. She waited to be either snubbed or lectured and saw instead multiple different emotions flash across the woman's face.
"Anastasia!" the woman called.
Victoria snapped to attention like someone just called her own name. Weird. This lady looked a bit young to be senile so there must be something else going on here.
"Ma'am you might be-,"
"Oh, Anastasia, how long has it been?!"
The lady started to run up towards her and Victoria took a step back. Either this lady was crazy or drunk. Either way, Victoria was not going to stick around to find out.
"Ma'am I think you have the wrong girl," Victoria said continuing to back up like the woman was a poisonous snake.

Dimah looked around at a few people who stopped to look at the scene between Dimah and the girl, whose name was apparently Anastasia. It wasn't the first time that people had stood to watch a scene involving Dimah, but it was the first time that the scene occurred when she wasn't drunk. Actually, it wasn't even her creating the scene this time! She had no idea who it was!
"Excuse me," she said, putting her hand on her chest. "I have no idea what came over me."
Suddenly, another wave of crazy started bubbling up in her stomach.
"Anastasia, I know it's you. I don't have the wrong person. I know I don't."
What the...? What the crap?!
Do you not believe that this is Anastasia?
Um. When did thoughts start speaking back?

"Excuse me," she said, putting her hand on her chest. "I have no idea what came over me."
"It's okay ma'am. I'm just going to go," Victoria turned around and began to walk out of the store. She got such a weird vibe from that lady. Like she knew her but only in her memory. The weird tune began to play in the back of her head and made her slow down.
"Anastasia, I know it's you. I don't have the wrong person. I know I don't."
Again her body tensed and she turned around to see that lady. Who was Anastasia? Why was the name ringing such a bell in her mind and WHAT WAS WITH THIS WEIRD SONG IN HER HEAD?
Victoria started to get frustrated with herself. She walked up to the lady and tried to hold a polite smile.
"Ma'am I really don't know you. My name is Victoria Romenz. Not Anastasia," she spoke putting a slight emphasis on each word. The tune in the back of her head began to subside and let her think again. Before she got anymore agitated she turned and walked away.

"Ma'am I really don't know you. My name is Victoria Romenz. Not Anastasia,"
"I--I really don't know..." Dimah trailed off as she watched the girl walk away. Her mind was going insane. It was like there was a civil war between the different parts and half of it was telling her to chase after the girl and the other half was telling her to jump out of the nearest window before the crazy house sent its people out for her. The girl got about half way out of the store and Dimah suddenly lost control of her body.
Looks like the crazy side won...
I'm not crazy, you just have no idea what you're doing! If this isn't Anastasia...I just...I don't...I don't know what I'll do!
There it was! That weird voice again! Who was that?! The voice started sobbing. Her mind was sobbing! Dimah was either terribly drunk or terribly insane...maybe both...
Dimah's body, currently controlled by the crazy woman inside her head, reached the girl and grabbed her shoulder, getting in front of her and bending over a little.
"Okay, Ana...I mean...whoever you are. Maybe you just don't know that you're Anastasia, but...I do. Well, I think I do. Anastasia Romanov. The lost princess of Russia! You're a princess, I know it! Haven't you always wanted to be a princess?! Live like royalty!"
You're never gonna get her like that. You sound crazy!
I think I know what I'm doing. I mean, you're the one talking to yourself.
Dimah looked over for a second. The woman had a point.

Victoria grumbled to herself in Russian about a day ruined by crazies. All she wanted to do was shop. Such a harmless task but never easy for her. She decided the next store over probably would have better tops anyways... and less crazies hopefully. She walked towards the door still grumbling when a hand fell upon her shoulder. It wasn't a firm hand so Victoria stopped herself from turning whoever did it flat on their back.
The woman was soon in front of her again and Victoria had a sudden wish she hadn't thought twice.
The words echoed in her head and it made Victoria wonder. She always loved dressing up in tiaras and dresses and sometimes she felt like didn't belong where she was and that damn song. As much as it was annoying, it also was freaky. It was like it had a life of it's own popping up whenever something odd occured.
Victoria shook her head. No, fuck no. She was not gonna let some crazy lady try and make her think about whether her family was her real family or not. Her mother died when she was five and her dad worked all the time. That's why this lady was getting to her. Victoria was alone, but she was not going to let a manipulating scammer or a wacko woman console her.
She easily brushed off the woman's hand and walked past her out of the store. She walk a few steps and then started running.
Besides, the store ate the end of the block was known for its wonderful shoes.
