Anthony had been gone for a solid year which meant that he had so much shit to get caught up on. His graduate program has frozen, yet his friend's lives kept moving and shifting. He was far too behind on his friend's lives, yet he was so preoccupied with his own life. He had tried to find about Soren, yet all he got was that they guy was occupied with Soccer, as usual, and partying, also the usual. He had tried to look for Soren, but... Yeah, that didn't work. They just seemed too mixed up and overwhelmed with that their lives that Anthony couldn't manage to get time away from his books and his Thesis. It was okay with Anthony at first, but he started to grow to actually miss his best friend. The guy was literally on campus with him, but... there just never seemed to be time... as usual.
Then, there was Kerli. A girl that Anthony had grown close with before he left, but she was far easier to get in touch with than Soren. It was weird, but all it took was Anthony asking one person about Kerli and before he knew it he was instructed on the best way to find her. He seemed like a creepster when he sat and watched the cheerleaders practice, but he immediately brightened when he saw Kerli. As he went to approach the field, his mind formulated a plan. He would surprise her, but hopefully she would be open to the idea of a 'blind date.'
All he needed was to get one of Kerli's cheerleading chicks to hand the little slip of paper and plant the seed in the girl's mind. Anthony fixed his jacket before leaning casually on a pole before signalling to one of the girls to come over. She smiled and ran to him eagerly. He explained his plan before handing her the slip, but not without trying to get him to realize that Kerli wasn't much of a 'blind dater.' He urged her to try her best before he turned and left her.
He waited patiently with his iced white chocolate mocha at a lone table in the back. He whistled a low tune that clashed with the music that played, but it was his nerves that caused him to get anxious. It was definitely odd to feel since she was just a friend and a girl, but he truly didn't know how different she was since last time he had seen her. What if she hates me? Anthony thought to himself before he closed his eyes and quietly cursed himself for being an idiot for attempting to surprise her... She wouldn't go on a blind date and he knew it.
