Maddie was excited as she pulled her bags out of the taxi's trunk in front of her new dorm. She was finally ready to move in, and they had told her that she would have a roommate that was already there. She hoped that the girl was nice and not like, goth or anything. If she was, Maddie would probably be scared. Not that she judged people or anything, it was just that some goths were into all of that satanism and everything. The thought of someone all scary-like gave Maddie a shiver. Hopefully she wasn't like that, though.
She gave the driver the money and heaved her duffel on her shoulder and pulled the two roller suitcases behind her. They were purple with white polka-dots, her favorite color paired with her favorite pattern. Having a rich daddy that sent her bunches of money every month helped with the small things, though. She could splurge every once and a while.
It took her a while to make it up the stairs with her three bags, but she got to the room eventually. Taking the sequined key out of her pocket with a little difficulty, Maddie unlocked the door and peeked in. "Hello?" As she opened the door wider, she saw a girl playing on the floor with a little white puff of fur. She didn't think that they were supposed to have dogs in here, but she maneuvered around so that she could shut the door behind her. "I'm Maddie." She smiled and crossed the room to put her bags on the bed without sheets already on it.
