personality
The absolute best term to describe Lukas in a nutshell would be childish. He’s often thought of as a bit on the dull side of the intelligence spectrum. However, his liveliness makes him shine brighter than most others.
Serious subjects are nowhere near the top of his list of “things he spends the most time thinking on”. He’s known to drift off of whatever is going on at the moment into his own little world. While he can be brought down on occasion, more often than not, he holds true to the saying, “Ignorance is bliss.”
When people think of those like him, “talkative” seems to go hand in hand. Not with him, to say the least. He’ll talk when necessary, but he’s much more content to dance around with a grin and some laughs. Not to say he’s mute, either. He simply doesn’t blather on and on like a lot of people seem to.
past Lukas was born to a couple of twenty-something parents, who were both University students in the heart of the Big Apple. It wasn’t a planned pregnancy, but more like “a pleasant surprise”, they always told him.
For the first few years of his life, Lukas was a quiet, happy baby. He spent a lot of time with nannies and babysitters, or even in whatever daycare his parents could get him, but he was happy. Around the time grade school started, his parents became even more distant. They both had full-time jobs, and the family seemed to be falling apart. When he was eight, like most American families anymore, his parents got divorced.
Since then he’s lived with his mother, who works as a real-estate agent for lofts in Manhatten (her dream of being a surgeon fell through). He hasn’t seen or heard from his father in years. Nevertheless, he’s happy. Being a straight B student, with a couple good friends, things aren’t so bad these days.
present Living in a respectable apartment with his mother, he’s not at the top of city life, nor the bottom. Wandering the city, and taking the subway to key places (such as Central Park) have become a key part of his life. Also, he’s gotten extremely interested in earth science, and mining history.
family His mother, Emilie Allman, is a real-estate agent and a little over-stressed. She’s lost her goofy self over time, which is probably what ended up causing her marriage to fall apart. On days off, she ends up in bars or coffeeshops, looking for her next husband, perhaps. Lukas doesn’t mind so much.
His father, Paul Schuman, hasn’t been heard from in years. He was a relatively laid-back guy, switching his major all the time in college before eventually giving up. While he’s most-likely in some cubicle off in Wyoming, Lukas likes to daydream about the adventures his father must be having.
likes 1. Hats, he loves them to death.
2. Earth science or mining; not the action, but it does seem interesting.
3. Goofing around with friends, and just being rather silly.
4. Going on walks; he wants to live in the mountains someday so he can hike there.
5. Childish things; chocolate, seeing a rainbow, you name it.
dislikes 1. When his mother comes home, upset and dejected.
2. Drama. Isn’t it easier to smile and play around?
3. Rain, though the puddles are a plus.
4. His apartment's lack of animal toleration.
5. When people are way too much of a downer.
other notes He's always really wanted a pet. Always. But has never been able to get one.
He's also rather likely to end up in the drug scene at one point or another, since it's been a curiosity of his.
...literature*
book title “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Most famously known from being compiled by the brothers Grimm.
backstory “Dopey” is one of the seven dwarfs that Snow White comes to live with while trying to escape death by the Evil Queen. In the original tale, all the dwarfs were synonymous and about the same as one another. However, when the story was made into a movie by Walt Disney, all of them were given names and personalities.
In the movie, Dopey never speaks but he’s happy and childish as can be. His ears wiggle, he tries to steal a kiss or two from Snow White, and even stands on Sneezy’s shoulders in order to be tall enough to dance with. He’s a valuable friend, and some well-deserved comic relief from Snow White’s difficult situation.

name I go by Relic lately, but I’ll also answer to Adri.
age 13.
gender female
rp experience Well… I’ve been role playing on the neoboards for… three, maybe four years? I’ve been active on around 3 forums during that time. For the past year or so, I’ve mainly stuck to chat-playing, but I’m hoping to get back into the swing of paragraph rp!
how you found ouac The neo rp boards advertisement.
rp sample Click, click, clack. Click, click, clack. Her pacing was stepping in three four time, as she stepped back and forth across the room. Tossing a lock of curly red hair behind her ear, she turned around to head the other direction. Click, click, clack. One and two and three.
Why was she pacing in such anticipation? It wasn't like it'd been so long since Chloe had been out of the house. And yet, she was itching for her mother to get home, so they could pile into the old minivan get as far as freakin' possible from this hellhole called a suburb. Really, being locked up in that boring boarding school was twice as good as this, if not more!
Click, click, clack.
Almost suddenly, or at least so it seemed through her endless train of thought, her mother entered. "Let's go, honey!" she chirped, soaking wet from the rain outside, poncho still on and with a rusty old umbrella firmly in her right hand. Chloe ecstatically left the rut she'd been making in her bedroom floor, and practically ran past her mother, down the spiral staircase, and out the door!
Freedom (or as close as she could get) here she came!
[...I completely bs'd that from what I recall of one I used to do. OTL Hopefully it will suffice?]
