personality Dem often clashes with anyone who has a rambunctious and fiery personality. He always wants to have the last word in any argument and it bugs him a lot if he doesn't get it. He sort of enjoys arguing too, not the kind where you're always shouting at one another, but the kind of spirited debates. He's also a very opinionated person and is not afraid to tell you what he thinks.
Despite his fiery side of arguments, Dem is kind and generous too. He sometimes has problems making people feel good because the truth sometimes blurts out. He's a very determined person and when he sets his mind to something, it will be done. He sometimes has the issue of putting himself before others and what he wants before other's needs. This is one of his more horrible traits.
Dem is also the type of person that will just come right up to you and start talking. He enjoys making friends and he's not afraid to say hello to strangers. No matter his brave personality, Dem is terrified of dancing. He enjoys being the center of attention by being the class clown, not by people seeing how bad his dance moves are. Especially with his two left feet.
past It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon when Dem's mother started feeling labor pains. His mother had no means of getting to the hospital, for her husband was at work. She ended up calling the ambulance, but by the time they arrived, his mother was already ready to start pushing. So, Demetrius Nicholas Murdoch was born in the guest bedroom of his house.
Growing up, Dem had been given the curse of being the middle child of three. His older brother had always been the "golden child" and his younger brother was always the baby of the family. Dem found himself trying to be the funny one, the rebellious child to his parents. Things changed a little when his older brother went off to join the army and he became the older child. His parents treated him differently, although they'd never really treated him badly before, but now they seemed to "see" him.
Dem had been born in Jackson, Florida and his father ended up being transferred to Michigan. Since he was only an infant when he lived in Florida, Dem does not remember anything about his old home. As far as he's known, along with his younger brother, the cold climate of Michigan has forever been home. Not that he minds, Dem actually enjoys the colder weather, with the snow and sledding. This could be a lot of where he is different from his family.
present Dem is a junior in high school and he's still trying to earn his parent's "golden child" name. He lives with his family in a two-story house with a golden retriever and a tabby cat. He's more of a dog person himself. He was able to get his brother's old room when he left.
He's still in high school, but Dem knows what he wants to do in the future. He enjoys writing music and he knows how to play many instruments. He wants to go to a school for arts so that he can go farther in his music.

backstoryDimitri is the hero of the story and one of the supporting characters to Princess Anastasia, not to mention her love interest. He finds her inside the palace one night after he and his friend, Vladimir, had been auditioning other Anastasia's so they could get the reward. She ended up looking more like the princess than they expected.
Along the way, while teaching her how to be Anastasia, Dimitri falls in love with her. He doesn't know that she is actually the grand duchess, but realizes it when she starts talking about the music box. He was a kitchen boy working at the palace when they were younger. He ends up not taking the reward because he loves Anastasia instead, saves her at the end, and they live happily ever after.

"Dem! Demetrius! I need you and Carter to run out to the party store and get some more streamers!"
"Why?" Dem shouted from the top of the stairs, his mother was in the next room over, decorating it for Matt's arrival.
"Just do it, please? For your brother?"
His mother knew just how to make him feel guilty, by playing the "for your brother" trick. Dem turned on his heel and headed back toward his brother's room. Country music was blaring behind his door, but Dem could still here Carter singing along. He smirked slightly and slowly eased the door open, smiling wider when he noticed hid brother lying on his bed, moving his head and feet to the beat. He threw the door open and screamed, "HEY, CARTER!"
Carter's eyes flew open and he flung into a sitting position. "What the hell are you doing, Dem?" His brother looked more like his mother than Dem or Matt did. He had the same fair skin, blonde colored hair, and bright green eyes. Dem, of course, had gotten his father's good looks, along with Matt. They both had the Murdoch, muddy brown hair and calm brown eyes. Well, Matt had gotten his mother's green eyes, while Dem had been left with the chocolate brown color.
"Mom says we've got to run to the party store, get up!" Before his brother could reply, Dem turned and head back down the hall. He could hear Carter stumbling about and smirked. "We're going, Mom! We'll be back soon!"
