...personal*
personality As a child, Wolf was a sweet and kind heart. As a child he was the third of a family that ultimately numbered five children and both parents. Falling somewhere in the middle, Wolf spent a lot of the time not being overlooked but definitely spending much of his time alone and raising himself. He was a solitary creature among a pack of kids.
As wolf got older it quickly became apparent that he possessed an intelligence above that of other boys his age. However, also as he grew older the mild mannered young man seemed to grow more irritable. His family chalked up to his pre-adolescence.
Pre Adolescence passed and Vaughan was still being a testy creature. His temper flared easily, though for the most part he remained mild mannered. He is a conversational man but much of what he says seems to be edging on an argumentative tone. Despite his need to have the last word or his eagerness to win any argument, Vaughan has a charming side. He can be a sweet talker and a gentleman. He tends to be kinder to women then men. Recently, though, wolf has been feeling less like himself and more like something primal.
past Barron and Anita met in high school and the young woman couldn't stand the bully of a man. Six years later, as fate would have it, Barron and Anita ran into each other again, as opposing council on a civil court case. While they trudged through their clients divorce, their relationship with each other grew undeniably stronger until finally they married. Two short months later they began building a family. Having one child right after another, they quickly had five children and very busy lives. As such, Vaughan, their middle child, tended to slip between the cracks.
Vaughan started life as a quiet child, resigned to being the middle child and as such often the overlooked. The kid had no ill feelings about his situation and instead found that he quite enjoyed being left to his own devices. He explored the woods behind their home and spent rainy days inside taking his father's clock apart and rebuilding it, making a broken radio work again, or reading his way through his parents library book by book. At school he quickly overtook his class and was moved up into the same grade as one of his older brothers. A few short years later, Vaughan graduated at age seventeen, third in his class, far above his brother.
present After graduation, Vaughan traveled the short distance from his home to New York City, NY to attend college at J Barrie University. His chosen field of study was into Psychology, leaning towards the criminally insane. Vaughan slammed out a bachelors degree in three years and is currently working on his first year of his masters degree.
Having graduated so high in his class and coming from such a large family Vaughan had scholarships all but thrown at him. With his school being financially supported her really does not need a job but because no one likes being without spending money, the young man is currently on a Job hunt. His personality is slowly becoming unstable and unreliable and he feels as if he is loosing his hard earned self control. This causes Vaughan unease and in response makes him more irritable.

...literature*
book title Red Riding Hood
backstory It is about a girl who is sent into the woods to deliver treats to her grandmother. A wolf approaches little red riding hood and she tells him where she is going. The wolf tells her of a short cut and while she takes this route he beats her to the grandmother's house. He swallows the grandmother whole, and waits for the girl, disguised as the grandmother.
When the girl arrives, she questions the wolf because he does not look like her grandmother. She asks the wolf several famous questions. "What big eyes you have." “What big ears you have.” "What big teeth you have!" The wolf replies, "The better to see you with.” “The better to hear you with.” and finally, aggravated with her, “the better to eat you with," and swallows her whole, too.
A hunter, however, comes to the rescue and cuts the wolf open. Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother are unharmed. They fill the wolf's body with heavy stones. The wolf wakes up and is thirsty and he crawls to a stream where he falls in and drowns.
Other versions of the story have the grandmother put in the closet instead of eaten and Red saved by the hunter before she is eaten. Other similar stories are The Wolf and The Seven Kids and Peter and the Wolf. The moral of these stories is do not stray from the path and that the village is safer then the woods.

The branches cut across his cheeks, tangling in his fur, opening his skin. He could feel the hot wetness starting to spread beneath his coat. Behind him he could hear the thud of heavy boots on the damp forest floor and the labored breath of his pursuer. His feet slid on the wet leaves and he went down on his belly, his legs splaying around him gracelessly, his fur soaking up the muck and water, cooling his burning skin. He scrambled to his feet and began to race again, all four legs working franticly to carry him away from this hell. His heart was racing in his chest like a trapped thing.
The hunter becomes the hunted.
3:46 A.M.
A Jolt. The world shifts and suddenly it's real again, too hot in the dorm under his damp sheet, his face hot like a sunburn and his heart racing a marathon.
His room mate was sitting up in bed, eyes wide, one hand half extended towards Vaughan.
“The room was...” Vaughan started, stopped, scowled, then tried again “he was...” Vaughan stopped again. “Just a nightmare,” he muttered, and he crawled out of his bed. His hair was rumpled and there were dark circles beneath his eyes. He was still in his pajamas, faded blue bottoms and a white tee shirt, as he maked his way into the hallways, his bare feet silent on the cold floor.
A cigarette already hung between his fingers.
The nightmares had started years ago when he was a teenager and they had never bothered him before. But they had become more vivid recently.
He checked over his shoulder as if the nightmare in which he became a wolf could really be chasing him the way that the huntsman did in that dream.
Twit, he thought viciously.
“You idiot,” he muttered, and the hallway muttered back an echo of those words. He pushed the exit door open and huddled close to the trashcan with the ash tray on top of it.
He shook his head as he put the cigarette between his lips, cupped it with one hand and lit it. “Freak,” he exhaled the word with the first searing sting of smoke.
