Bold, Bert is not one to hesitate in the face of danger. When given the opportunity to do something that gets his adrenaline pumping, he is the first to volunteer. You could also say he is...crazy.
Vain, When Bert does something, whether is be extraordinary or meager, he will be the one to proudly proclaim it. His friends say he is a show-off, yet he is just proud of his many accomplishments.
Selfless, Bert my come of as a bad guy, but he can be really kind-hearted. He is always there for his friends. He is the one to call if you over drank or need some backup, when you've 'put your foot in your mouth'.
Reckless, Bert takes the motto, "You cannot achieve the impossible without attempting the absurd." He will jump to the occasion to try anything new. He doesn't think twice, even if the possibility of injury is imminent.
Cunning, Bert is cunning in the sense of getting what he wants. And usually what he wants involves women. He uses his sex appeal and charm to lure the women to him. So he known as a bit of a ladies man.

Bert had a rough childhood. Moving from foster home to foster home, making new friends and enemies, and loving a new set of parents only to get them all taken away in a few short months. Either the foster parents grew tired of the rebellious Bert or they just grew bored of him. Until his life took a dramatic change for the best.
On Bert's twelfth birthday, he was sitting in the office of a foster care center in New York. He along with four other kids where sitting patiently, while a couple went over their records to find the most suitable child for them. Lucky for Bert the couple wanted a 'needs-a-little-work' type of child. Him being the only one with a long 'criminal' case was the 'best' choice for them.
After 2 years, Bert was adopted by Mrs. Rebecca and Mrs. Johnathan McComb. They were loving, compassionate, understanding, and loaded. They taught Bert everything from manners to driving a car. His life had finally taken a turn in the positive direction, so he was finally happy.
The McComb household was blessed with another member when a few weeks after Bert's fifteenth birthday. Little Mary Rebecca was Bert's sibling, so he was over-protective and loving towards her. He had the occasional thought his adopted parents loved her more, but they constantly reminded him that they shared their hearts equally.
Graduation from high school marked another chapter in Bert's life. He was finally a man, so he was able to make the decision to move out and live on his own. He wanted to live in his own apartment while attending college.

Now, here he is, twenty-three years old; a junior in college majoring in Restaurant Management. He still lives alone in his apartment, that his parents are paying for, but he is happy. He calls home weekly to check up on his baby sister who is now eight, and looks up to him. On the other hand of his love life, Bert hasn't found the one, but he isn't looking. He only wants to have fun, while he is young enough to enjoy life.
Bert started a 'Before I Have Kids' list which consist of a 14 outrageous tasks. Here is the List:
1.Go skydiving.
2. Swim with...sharks.
3.Become skilled witha musical instrument. Work in Progress
4. Learn to speak fluently in a different language.
5. Surf a wave in Hawaii.
6. Stay in Vegas for a week.
7. Go snowboarding on the Rockies.
8.Master a particular style of dance.The Tango
9. Go on a blind date everyday of the week of a week straight.
10.Ride in a hot air balloon.
11. Spend the night on the beach in California.
12. Bungee jump off of a cliff.
13.Go mountain climbing.
14. Take a road trip across the States, hitting as many states as possible.
He has accomplished a few, but he still has a while until a kids comes into the picture. And he only chose fourteen because fourteen is his favorite number and he can always add to the list later.

backstory
While still a youth of eighteen, Robin Hood encounters a man who makes fun of him and shoots an arrow at him while Robin is on his way to an archery contest. Robin quickly turns and shoots a return arrow at the man who is killed instantly. The local sheriff swears he will bring Robin to justice. As a result, Robin Hood is forced into exile. He creates a band of men who have been falsely accused of a crime, and they live in Sherwood Forest and rob those who are rich, giving the spoils to those who are poor and deserving.

"Edwin!" Followed by a open palm to Edwin's cheek.
The memory of the smack that occurred about 3 hours ago still made Edwin cringe and practically feel the pain, over and over. His father wanted only perfection from Edwin and nothing more. He knew the red imprint from his father's hand was gone, but the emotional scar was still there. So Edwin didn't know any emotions like love or compassion, only fear and hate. Who would of thought that 11 years later he'd share the same emotions towards his people? That was a distant future, not something Edwin would do now.
Edwin found himself wondering aimlessly through the gardens on the outside of the Adurian Castle. He hoped to find Nala here, alone. He loved being around her, even with her unusual skill. Ironic how his favorite person was a person who he was born to hate. A magic-user. Him being raised as a swordsman, who had the sole purpose of slaying one such as Nala.
Edwin loved Nala, her family, and the country of Adura. He especially loved the gardens. They were his escape from the unrelenting hands of his father and pitiful shrugs from his mother. He felt his eyes filling with tears. A single long tear fell down his face, when he rounded a corner and spotted Nala. She was alone and deep in thought. A smile grew across Edwin's mouth. "Nala!?"
