personality She's got a body made for dancing, and hair that moves like trained snakes in her dance. Maybe she'll smile at you, or maybe she'll smile at what's in your pocket. Aisha has one goal, and one goal only. And that is to get off the streets, in any way possible.

She pretends to be friendly, but years of the elements have hardened her. Parents rush their children away from 'the prety dancing lady', women scoff at her, and men leer at her. She'll dance for you in the open, or if you meet her standards, and her price, she may even dance for you in your bedroom. All to make a buck, of course. You may have gotten to hold this enigma, but she's the one who made off with your wallet before you woke up.

She's a trickster, a polished pick-pocket. Deceiving, and a liar...though, you never knew if she was lying, not really. Her smile is friendly, and her rythm never off, but something behind her blue eyes has long since died. She seems determined somehow, and tends to stand up to authority. Often getting her in more trouble than she can handle.
past
Aisha Nuri, born Alexania Korzofick, was the love child of a Romani woman, and a wealthy (at the time local) man. It was an affair that lasted only a month or two, until the band of Romani were chased from the town, and unknown to her at the time---a pregnant Nadya. The band continued, performing for cash, stay, until they were forced into the next town. Until the band stopped. Nadya was in labor, and birthed a child. A child that had been conceived outside of the band, with an outsider.

In order to protect her own self, Nadya became distant from Alexania, allowing the group to raise her instead. Once Alexania was able to speak, and count money, once she was old enough to walk and run, and once she had turned twelve, she was tricked. Left with only one-hundred dollars, and a little backpack with a handful of clothes, she was left in the middle of rural god-knows-where.

She remained in the spot, determined that the group would come back for her. They never did. There was no place for an outsider amongst them. This caused anger in the child, but she was Romani. She would not die, quite so easily. And with her chin up, she began her journey. Her goal, she was unsure of. And so the years went by, sometimes she lived on what she could steal. Sometimes she wouldn't bathe for weeks, and there came a point where she even had to eat insects. All for the name of survival.

And then, at twenty-one, she found a magnificent city. A city that held promise. And a park, so large she could move around, and no one would ever be able to completely chase her out. She found home, she found where she belonged. And now, it was all up to her, to stay put, make money, and make sure she could live her life in comfort.

Today, she is no longer known as Alexania. She is Aisha now. And Central park is her home. She wakes up at the beginning of every day, leaves her small tent hidden by trees, and finds a comfortable spot in the park, often moving periodically through the day. Armed with an old boom-box, and a handful of CDs, she dances.

This is how her life goes. Each penny gets saved. What she can't steal, she buys, food-wise. She sneaks into hotels, breaks into homes, and poses as a student occasionally at Baum Academy, all for a decent shower. Maybe even to steal a bite to eat, or some clothes from the girl's dorms. She does what she has to survive, even if it means breaking all moral code.

She has slept with men for money, but only if they suited her standards. That was what she said, she wasn't like any old hooker on the streets, she had standards. She owned herself, and of course--it was rare. To anyone on the surface, she looked like a tanned, beautiful--if not a bit dirty, street performer, which wasn't so strange in the bustle of New York City.
