...personal*
personality Stubborn~ Lilly will be the most stubborn person you’d ever meet. She won’t accept a no, instead she’ll firmly proclaim the answer is yes. She will struggle against anything she doesn’t like. Not only does that include her father’s attitude, but it also includes boys. Although she used to hang out with them, even invite them to her house, Lilly realized they were a waste of time. After all, she had her heart broken at the mere age of eight when her best friend Brent didn’t want to be friends anymore. Since then, her heart has been unbreakable, made of steel. A few rare people can find a place in her heart, but it’s almost impossible. Only the closest friends understand her. It’s not hormones, oh no, it’s something that’s missing in her. She doesn’t know what. It’s just a gap in her heart and mind that won’t fill.
Spontaneous~ it’s something Lilly does best. She likes to surprise people. Sometimes she’ll be dancing, sometimes she’ll be singing. Sometimes she’ll be serious, sometimes she’ll be laughing. Lilly has this special quality about her that draws you closer. Though usually solemn to those outside of her inner circle of friends, if you happen to know her, she can be outgoing and energetic. It’s fun to be with her when she’s in a good mood. Especially when she’s dancing; it’s something she loves and will never give up. And she may not be the most popular person in the Sophomore year at Baum, but she is well known as the solemn, straight-forward Lilly.
Clever~ Generally, Lilly is a smart, intelligent girl. Although she may not be very book smart, she has a great sense of direction and survival. She always knows what to do in dire situations. When Lilly’s experiencing something harsh, she’ll always find a loophole; in this way, she is terribly clever. Nobody can outsmart her; that is, if you’re not cheating. She hates cheating, she hates anything unfair, and she won’t accept it. If you cheat? You’ll be in BIG trouble. In Lilly’s hands, you’re almost sure to get a black eye.
Strong~ No, she is not a fragile, weak girl. Instead Lilly’s a strong person that would fight for anything worth fighting for. In fact, she’s considering joining the Marines after High School, although this is a bit far-fetched. After all, not only would she have to train, but her father would have to approve, which would be…well, highly unlikely. Still, Lilly is a strong muscled and strong willed person. She’s all in it for women’s rights, and any sexist acts madden her. Nobody messes with Lilly unless they’re sure they want to be dumped in the garbage or get a broken leg.
past Lilly was born on Mt. Desert Island, Maine, on a cloudy, rainy day. Her father was an important environmentalist and her mother happened to be a park ranger. So, of course, it was love at first sight. They married two years after they met, and two years after they married Lilly was born. She was always and still is an only child, but her parents never spoiled her. Lilly’s dad was always the responsible, strict parent that every child needs. He pushed her around, not too harshly, but not too gently, either. You could say he was… controlling. Her mother, on the other hand, was kind, gentle, and a wonderful mother. So Lilly lived a happy early life at Mt. Desert Island with her father being very important and all.
Lilly was a curious, strong-willed child, and she was always the popular girl at school. She was stubborn, solemn, and serious, but she had this certain quality about her. Her father was always so proud of his little girl for being so strong and courageous. He saw himself in her eyes, but this was exactly the problem. The thing was, she did everything he wanted her to do, and nothing else. Soon Lilly realized she had a life to live and when she was eight she signed up for dance without asking her father. Of course this angered him, but he could do nothing about it as Lilly was stubborn and defiant of his temper. She enjoyed dancing and danced through Middle School.
As a freshman in High School, Lilly had scholarships drawn towards her already. She still danced, but also played many sports (her favorite being lacrosse) and activities. This being said, of course Baum sent her a letter. Normally, Lilly would decline, but she realized this was her chance to go out into the world and make a difference. After having a talk with her parents, they finally agreed and decided she would go alone and come back every summer. It was exciting to be away from home and to have an adventure for once. Lilly was thrilled.
present Now Lilly, in her first year at Baum, is enjoying the freedom of New York. She joined a dance studio and it’s the one thing she focuses most on, although she also plays on a lacrosse team and exercises daily for three hours; she’s ready for anything, from sports scholarships to joining the Marines. She and her parents decided she should get a half-time job, so she also works as a sports tutor for kids age 8-12.
The noise and excitement of New York still overwhelms Lilly quite a bit. She still prefers Maine as much as she did as a kid, but this was an adventure and she’s willing to handle it. Life isn’t very hard for her, as her parents are fairly wealthy, but she refuses most of their money and earns cash herself. This may be one of her favorite parts of New York. Thrilling as it is, she still loves to sit in Central Park, marveling at the sight of nature, much like her father.

...literature*
book title Peter Pan
backstory So basically, there’s this guy named Peter Pan who lives in Never Land, a magical island. Tiger Lily’s the daughter of the chief of the Indians, and is, although a supporting role, important. In the movie she dances with Peter and Wendy gets jealous. (we could do something with this for roleplay!) Captain Hook also captures her and threatens to kill her if Peter doesn't come. (Sorry, I'm a bit rusty. Haven't read it or seen the movie in a long time.)
