personality Spencer is friendly, cheerful, and quite sociable. He is a nerd, liking computers and comic books (though he can't read them, he is fiercely protective of his Golden Age Batman Comics). He can play the guitar and the drums, even while being blind. He is an awful flirt, though he doesn't use his blindness for sympathy. Spencer is quite well known for being quite the charmer.
Since his blindness he has become fascinated with odors and sounds. Though he is not too self conscious about the blindness itself, sympathy and pity is a huge issue with him. He does not get offended, in the angry way, but does not feel comfortable with it.
past Spence was a child created by a one night stand, his mother a bit of an alcoholic. His one source of stability was, with out a doubt, his older sister Chloe. Chloe was nine years older than him, and took care of him and his drunk/hungover mother.When he was nine years old his mother through Chloe out, leaving him in a six month hell. However, Andrea Price was an unfit mother with out a doubt, and it did not take long for the state to decide this so. And so he was sent to live with Chloe and her boyfriend Ari David (Dah-Veed, not Day-vid).
Spencer was happy, especially since Ari was an adventurer at heart. He took young Spencer on many adventures: Rock Climbing, Scuba Diving, parasailing. For two years life was perfect for the small family, and in this time Chloe and Ari had actually gotten married (the ceremony was small and sweet). But when Spencer was eleven, a faulty hook came unloose while he and Ari were rock climbing in the Navada Dessert. At first the boys were not worried about it, but then Spencer's vision began to fade. A worried Ari brought Spencer home and then strait to the doctor as Chloe was updated. But by the time they got to Mercy General, the now terrified, young Spencer's vision had been depleted to only seeing shadows.
His blindness caused great grief for the adventurous boy, and his depression seemed to know no depths. The same could be said for Chloe's worry and Ari's guilt. That Chanukkah (Christmas and Hanukkah because Ari was raised Jewish but the Price siblings were raised Catholic) Ari got Spencer a guitar, which originally offended the boy. But patient Ari sat with Spencer every spare moment,letting him feel the strings and hear the vibrations. Though the surly Spencer thought it was stupid, and never let a chance get by where he could state such facts, one night he picked up the instrument himself and plucked its strings thoughtfully. This seemed to bring the boy out of his depression, and soon he began trying everything he could that wouldn't give Chloe a heart attack.
present At the moment Spencer is a student at Frank L. Baum Academy. He is able to play the guitar and drums, and enjoys to read (brail yo). He's a moderate student, though he could be considerably better if he extended a bit effort. He is to busy living, dating, and causing mischief. He enjoys New York a great deal, though (having been raised in the desert) he finds the Winters to be too cold.
His Mother occasionally contacts him, on her sober days. His sister and brother-in-law are still very close to him. Instead of returning to Navada this summer, he was planning on staying in New York and looking for a job. He wants to start a band and get that going, and plans to work at the temp agency.

backstory One day a Prince was walking in the forest near his Kingdom. While out he heard a voice, and because of its angelic beauty he followed it. The voice brought him to a tower, where he saw a beautiful but sad girl in the window. He instantly fell in love, but the tower had no entrances, so he contented himself to simply return every day and listen to her beautiful voice. On one of these days he saw a hag come and visit the girl, and recite: "Rapunzel Rapunzel, let down your long hair, so I may climb the golden stair." The Prince waited for the hag to leave and recited the poem himself, climbed up her hair, and introduced himself. He returned every night, no simply listening but talking and... 'talking' with the pretty girl. He asked her to marry him, and she agreed, and so they planned.
When he returned to his beloved he found not she, but the hag, who had casted the girl out. To make matters worse the evil witch pushed him out the window into a thorn bush, blinding him. So the Prince wandered, blind and heart broken until one day he heard her beautiful voice again.Following it, he came upon her doing laundry, and they reunited. Her tears fell on to his eyes, returning his site, and he saw the reason why the witch cast Rapunzel out. Two sons were born in their time apart, and the Prince took his little family home to his kingdom where they lived happily ever after.
