buildShe is 110 pounds. Despite being a slim size zero, she still has that hour-glass shape marked by a tiny waist, fair sized bust and rear. She actually has long legs for her build. She's one of those girls who aren't out-of-shape. Aside from her tiny build, her features don't help her much; she looks like a doll and doesn't know it because she hides it all under her hair. She has a very pale complexion and a full pouty mouth.
height five feet seven inches.
clothing style Talim likes to adorn boy's clothing. Baggy pants, t-shirts, ect. Rarely will you see her in a dress or a skirt. On holidays such as chinese new years she enjoys the freeing comfort that is her favorite black kimono.
distinctive traits Talim has a strange birthmark on her wrist. It's in the shape of a small dragon like lizard.
...personal*
personality No matter how friendly Talim acts or how helpful and non-judgmental she tries to be, people view her to be very strange and unusual for she does not fit the mold of a 'normal teenage girl.' She's a bit more tomboyish than most female teenagers her age and doesn't find herself lost in the sappy romance that teens usually indulge themselves in on a daily basis.
She has a made it a habit to apologize for things even if isn't her fault to begin with, and tries her best not to hold hatred or a grudge against anyone, making her very forgiving. When it comes straight down to it, she is very loyal and good to the very few friends that she has. She has great love for her parents and even though she is annoyed by her mother's constant nagging for her to be "more of a girl" and tries not to bring shame to the Takahashi name.
Her bravery knows no bounds especially when she tries to defy authority figures when she knows they are clearly wrong. She's not afraid to speak her mind or defend what she knows is right. She quite intelligent, independent, and most would call her tough for her ambition and will to never give up and mostly because she could hang with the guys.
past Keji and Bai Takahashi were graced with a beautiful baby girl in Tokyo Japan where the two had met, fell in love, married, and eventually raised a family together. Growing up, Talim had a fairly normal life. Because Bai was unable to have more kids, naturally Talim was a spoiled little girl and she grew up to be fairly normal. She was one who played with dolls, liked to dress up, had the occasional tea party with all her stuffed animal friends, and thought that horses were the most beautiful things in the world.
However as she grew older she started to develop interests for things such as horseback riding, rough housing with other children, and even swords. She even enjoyed helping out around the farm doing what her mother considers to only be a man's job. Talim grew to very close to her grandmother, Fa Lin who often told her stories about the old days in china, of great warriors in battle, and crazy superstitions that Talim only grew to partially believe. At the age of fourteen, she was sent to New York by her parents thinking that being away from home it would build her character a little and so as an exchange student in America she would complete her high school education before returning home.
presentShe now attends Baum Academy, and though she has already been there for a year, she made very few female friends. However she gets along quite well with the guys at school and excels in her academic studies so she won't bring shame to her family name. Though she does not seem to outwardly care for romance in her life, she secretly does seek it but it's hard to do that when boys see you as "just one of the guys."

book title Mulan
backstoryMulan is sent to the town matchmaker to find her a husband, which ends in humiliating failure. Shortly after, the Chinese emperor's counselor, Chi Fu, arrives in her village to announce that the deadly Huns, led by Shan Yu, have invaded China, and that one man in every family must serve in the war. Despite her protests, her father, a famed war veteran named Fa Zhou, says that he will go (in spite of his old age and crippled body). Mulan decides to go in his place posing as a man, cutting her long hair with a sword and stealing her father's armor and rides away on her horse, Khan, so she will keep him from risking his life.
From there, she arrives at the boot camp where she is to undergo training under the orders of Captain Shang. At first, she was nervous about her abilities to masquerade as a man by the name of "Ping" but with the help of a tiny little lizard like dragon named Mushu who was supposedly sent by her ancestors to watch over her, she strode confidently into the camp. She didn't quite fit in with everyone at at first and caused a fight to break out on her first day but as time progressed with a lot of training and with a little bit of brain power, she proved that she could hang with the toughest of them.

Outside little critters scampered around the grounds. The sun was bright and undoubtedly there were bound to be people down by the lake horsing around, if not roaming wildly about the grounds. For winter, it was the perfect day to be out running around and it was best to do it while it was nice. Before too long the snow would start to fall again and would get in the way of everything and everyone would be shut up inside the castle. One boy enjoyed winter days, particularly because no one wanted to be outside in the cold and blustering wind. Today was just the opposite of cold and blustery though and yet the infamous Elliot Hakwe had opted to remain indoors and amuse himself while no one was around to give him trouble.
From a spare classroom on the fourth floor, the not-so-dulcet sounds of metal clashing with metal pierced the quiet. It was a Saturday, and a nice one no less which meant a great many students were out and about either roaming the grounds or making the trip to Hogsmeade. However, the seventh year Slytherin despised many of the small village's so-called charms and he saw no allure in throwing away money on simple frivolities. Only on the occasion that something of his needed to be mended or presents had to be bought did he venture down to the crowded streets of Hogsmeade. Instead he filled his Saturdays with studying, homework, recreational reading and other odd tasks about the castle and grounds. At the present moment, Elliot had decided to take a break from his Potions homework (after all, the migraine was unbearable) and come up to the fourth floor to amuse himself.
One of his favorite past times had been (and remained) bewitching suits of armor, nabbing the heavy steel sword from another and engaging in a bit of fencing. Since he was eleven, fencing had become a hobby and a sport he rather enjoyed, and upon his arrival at Hogwarts he had gone about testing various spells on countless bodies of armor to perfect their tactic. The charm worked similar to that of a charmed Wizard's Chess board. No two moves were ever the same and the spell was not rigged to create a pattern. There was no fun in that, none at all. They were also specifically created to show no mercy until Elliot stopped them. Perhaps it could be called an extreme sport? In any case, he enjoyed it and it was one way to keep himself occupied and away from defenseless first and second years.
With a swift blow to the torso of the suit, it came clattering to the limestone floor like a heap of scrap metal. Turning his back, he wiped his sweating brow on the back of his hand. At the sound of something slicing through the air, Elliot hoisted the heavy blade over his head, deflecting a blow that could have sliced him evenly down the middle. As he worked his way around the room his arms were beginning to buckle and the muscles in his biceps were beginning to quiver in a frenzied spasm. In one clean, precise swipe he decapitated the bewitched Knight and watched him fall to the ground yet again. It was without hesitation that he drew his wand and cast the suit back together, now frozen in place.
Panting, he fell to his knees on the floor with his sword propped up on the ground, pointed end down, so he could lean on it as he caught his breath. Sweat glistened on his bare skin for he had left his white collared shirt forgotten on one of the desks in the classroom. Elliot wasn't entirely sure what he would do when he finished up here, but he guessed he would have just enough time to make it back to his dormitory before supper and get another small fraction of studying or light reading in. He hadn't planned on anything particularly exciting, but hey, it only took one unsuspecting student to show up where they weren't wanted...
