personality Eclectic. That is really the best word to describe Destiny Darlington. She likes (and hates) the weirdest things. She is pure and simple. She can often be seen reading books on aliens, big foot, the allusive chupacabra. She never sits on her butt, and is often propped up on her feet. Destiny also always eats with her hands, in tiny little bites, even mashed potatoes.
She loves the strange and the bizarre, but often feels a little disconnected from the world. Her Peers often look at her like she's a little off. Her school wanted her on A.D.H.D medicine, but her Grandfather absolutely refused. Still, she would love for someone to just... get her.
Destiny has a big heart, and loves to assist people in strange ways.
past Destiny was raised by her Grandfather in Nanderlin, Maine. Her Father was absent for all of her life, even as she grew in the womb, and her Mother died of puerperal fever as a result of a shifty midwife who had poor sanitary habits. Despite being a precocious, Destiny did not speak until she was about 4 and a half, and was home schooled by her backwards Grandfather for the majority of her life. They lived in the woods, their closest neighbors being about seven miles away, so the most interaction she got was with her Grandfather and his clients, who would bring him broken down cars to fix.
Since her early years, Destiny liked the strange and unusual. She'd leave traps to catch a various creatures, hold seances to talk to the Ghosts she believed resided in her house, and would spend hours on her roof with a telescope searching for UFO's.
present With her Grandfather wanting the best for his Destiny June, he saved up enough money to send her to a 'fancy pants, learn your ass off, private, boarding school in New Amsterdam'. Of course Destiny never let on that she hated school, and many of the people in it, as well as the bustling city that it was in; she cared far too much for her Grandfather's feelings to do that. So she decided to grin and bare it, hoping to find someone to pop up and make life interesting.
