Kennedy watched him carefully. Damn, he was tall. She blinked a few times as he crossed his arms. Damn, he looked like such a football player. She noticed his frown but kept walking, powerhousing on. She'd never know all of him, but he would never know all of her then, right?
She nearly fell into Kade as he jogged ahead of her and held up a hand. That means stop, her brain told her, just before she walked into him.
"First of all you're not a skank. I never would've figured you for one." Kennedy blinked a few times, letting her hair smack her face before she pulled it down, tangling it around her fingers. "And you of all people shouldn't be so quick to judge. I mean I thought you were some prissy little daddy's girl but you obviously have a wild side to you." Ah, is that what people really thought of her? Her insides tickled and warmed. Kade didn't think so. "Despite what everyone says I'm not what I seem." His last few words rang through her.
A flirty and sly smile twisted onto her lips her eyes widened and she blinked a few times, like a doe. "Isn't that the description of everyone?" She let her full smile show. "Kade, I promise not to judge you by how you may appear," she even held up three fingers in the Girl Scout solute. "and I normally don't, anyway. I'm kind of drunk." She didn't feel it so much any more. Kade made her feel so...aware. But he was so silent the air seemed to be talking for them.
Kade shrugged, "Let's just get you back before you get into even more trouble with your watch dog."
Kennedy practically skipped foward. She felt so playful. "We should, but he's not actually that bad. He just hates how I act sometimes!" She felt like dancing again. "Kade, do you ever feel like dancing?" She was actually interested. He seemed so blase but uptight. Very conflicting.

When she finally answered him, he crossed his arms over his broad chest in a sort of defensive gesture and followed after all. As he had assumed, she thought he had "an image." It wasn't a particularly good one but it was one that he liked. It was a lot better than being a nobody like his dead beat stepfather...A small frown tugged at the corner of his mouth as Kade thought about the man his mom had married after her first husband died. Fate was cruel at times..."Woah woah woah." he said as he ran a little ahead of her and put his hands up to signal her to stop walking.
"First of all you're not a skank. I never would've figured you for one." he stated in his most authoritative tone. "And you of all people shouldn't be so quick to judge. I mean I thought you were some prissy little daddy's girl but you obviously have a wild side to you." As he said this, he pointed from her head to her heel clad feet for emphasis. "Despite what everyone says I'm not what I seem." He fell silent for a moment, wondering why he wanted to defend himself in front of this girl he hardly knew. After today they probably wouldn't associate with each other again so what was the damned point? He could only guess that he liked to seem complex and mysterious to hide his own flaws. When she reached for her phone, he wondered who would be trying to contact her at this time of night.
"Shit, my bodyguard,"
Kade arched an eyebrow at this. He wasn't surprised that Kennedy had a bodyguard. She was important after all, like the president himself practically. What did make him curious was why she wasn't with the bodyguard in the first place. He could only assume that the person in charge of watching out for her wasn't too keen on her choice of outfit or where she was going tonight. Not that Kade could blame the guy, not after the mishap that he had save her from. Then she went on to explain herself further. He shrugged his shoulders lightly. "Let's just get you back before you get into even more trouble with your watch dog." he replied simply. ♥ T A G G E D » K E N N E D Y ♥ W O R D S » A L O T ♥ L Y R I C S » P A N I C ! She smiled at him in a flirtatious manner instead blushing up a storm the way he had thought she would at his words. She certainly was full of surprises tonight. "Some people are easier to read than you think." he answered as he ran a hand through his thick brown hair thoughtfully. He merely nodded his head when she agreed not to judge him again before he continued on his way out of the parking lot and into the dorm building. He had held the door open for her when he noticed her skipping along like a little kid and he arched an eyebrow in question.
"We should, but he's not actually that bad. He just hates how I act sometimes!"
"Isn't it his job to?" he was about to ask when she suddenly asked him if he liked to dance out of nowhere. What in san hill? Green hazel eyes blinked down at her for a moment, his head tilted curiously to one side as he looked her over. She was being serious...that much he could tell. "You're still drunk aren't you?" he asked finally after a long moment of silence. ♥ T A G G E D » K E N N E D Y ♥ W O R D S » A L O T ♥ L Y R I C S » P A N I C ! She ignored his first reply. She was suddenly in a such a good mood! Sentamentalism would bring her down, slow her heart rate. Would Kade let her drive his car? Hell no.
"Isn't it his job to?"
Kennedy sighed theatrically. "Sadly, yes. He likes to keep me from having fun and being normal. Scared I'll get atta-" She coughed loudly. Whoopsy, tmi. Calm yourself, girly. You'll scare the boy off. Ah, she hated when she talked to herself. Kind of...but that didn't sound like her.
"You're still drunk aren't you?"
Kennedy bubbled insane laughter. Right, calm. She cleared her throat and blinked big eyes at him. "Why, yes. But that was a legitimate thing, right there. I'd like an answer!" She took a few breathes and subsided to just swishing her arms, not completely ceasing the rhythm in her head.
