See, the thing you have to understand about Will is that he's a bastard. But he's one of those guys that no matter how stubborn and annoying he can be, no matter how much you fight, you can't stay mad at him forever. He can be terribly insensitive, impulsive and utterly infuriating. He enjoys starting arguments and attempting to patch the relationship up again without much work on his end.
He learned a great deal of bitterness at a young age and although his father tried to give him the love he needed, he wasn't there for him the way a father needs to be. Will grew into a charming young man, but was a complete jerk. "Diablillo" is a nickname that he earned from some of his friends. In short, it's half-angel, half-devil. Which is nearly a perfect description of Will most days.
Oddly enough, Will can be kind and thoughtful, funny and playful. At least.. when its beneficial for him in some way...
past Growing up without a mother was never easy for Guillermo, but he made due. He watched his father work like a dog and come home tired every night, after only making a little money for the family. Taking care of his younger sister, Jenyfer, became routine since his mother had never been around. While he virtually brought up his sister on his own, he watched the grief his father felt for his mother, even after so many years. He watched over his sister like a hawk, making sure that all through her grade and middle school years, anyone who messed with her was taken care of.
He didn't date in high school, he just sort of slept around. He was athletic and musically talented, and quickly became the subject of many affections, including those of his friend's girlfriends. He didn't often like the girls, he just liked how they looked. He would have a new girl at least once every two weeks, usually ending in a one night stand and the broken heart of some girl who would later still pine for him.
He and his sister used to get along very well, up until she got sick of the way he treated people. Fighting is fairly normal in their house.

"What the hell is your problem?!"
Jenyfer stood in the doorway, her hands on her hips.
Guillermo sneered at her, then looked back to his notebook.
"¿Qué quieres, perra loca?"
She stalked over and ripped the headphones from his ears, "I can't believe you would say that to my best friend! What on earth possessed you to make up such lies about me!? I never told you about any of those secrets, you just learned them from poking your nose where it doesn't belong! And what about Francisco, huh? I suppose you'll try to say you didn't scare him away too?" Her face was stained with tears and her black eyes stared at him accusingly.
He glared back at her, never faltering to keep eye contact.
"Who cares what I said to your bitch friend and your loser of a boyfriend?"
"Guillermo! Why can't you just try to care about what I care about? You never let me be happy! You just tear down everything I do and never listen."
Jenyfer dropped her gaze, sobbing softly, "Why can't you just love me, then way my friend's brothers love them?"
He gave a dark chuckle, shooting her a look.
"You aren't my sister. I don't have to love you."
She gasped and fled from the room. Guillermo waited until he heard her door slam and he let out the breath he'd been holding. He shook his head to avoid the guilt ripping at his mind. Besides, they were never really her friends. He so called best friend was sleeping around with her boyfriend. She was more protected this way, thinking that her brother was the most heartless person in the world.

backstory In the books, the origins of the character are rather gruesome. Originally an ordinary man by the name of Nick Chopper (the name first appearing in The Marvelous Land of Oz), the Tin Woodsman used to make his living chopping down trees in the forests of Oz, as his father had before him. The Wicked Witch of the East enchanted his axe to prevent him from marrying the girl that he loved. The enchanted axe chopped off his limbs, one by one. Each time he lost a limb, Nick Chopper replaced it with a prosthetic limb made of tin. Finally, nothing was left of him but tin. However, Ku-Klip, the tinsmith who helped him, neglected to replace his heart. Once Nick Chopper was made entirely of tin, he was no longer able to love the girl he had fallen for.
