...personal*
personality Rory's personality is probably like many other out-of-book characters roaming around New York City. She has a knack for getting into trouble, and being highly curious, even if it could hurt her in the end, Rory Rosewood has to see what something is or she'll explode. Living with her three aunts, Mira, Elsie and Tabbitha, on the edge of the beach in Delaware, she didn't go out much other than to go to school and to run errands for her aging aunts. This sparked many traits inside of her...
Her curiosity, for example? Rory is very, very over-curious. She is always trying to figure out what something is, and she always has to know about a person, a place or a thing that she doesn't know and is foreign to her. She asks a lot of questions of people, which she'd think would be normal, but others would think of as rude. She has manners, oh, yes, she just doesn't think of some of her questions as rude or shocking. She just thinks she's asking an average question. Upon arriving in New York, she was awed at all the lights and action that there was all year round. At home, they only got a lot of tourists during the summer, and it was quiet during the rest of the months... here there was so much to do! There was the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the shows in Central Park, Times Square... it was wonderful.
Then, there's her sweet disposition... Aurora is a kind 17-year-old girl. Her most best trait is her passion for love, whether it's her love or anyone's, she's in love with the idea of love. Like Briar Rose, her voice is beautiful and she loves to sing. She is lonely most of her life, until she comes to New York, as she has lived in a beach house in Delaware her whole life. An enjoyer of the simple things in life, Aurora wonders why her aunts treat her like a child and wishes to meet new people and make her own decisions for herself. Why are they always so protective of her? That's the question she always thought. But still, she is young and doesn't know to much about the world around her, so she guesses that her aunts know what is best for her and is obedient.
She's very mature for her age... Rory is very matured for her age, being unaffected by boys and girlfriends to hang out with. She is very responsible, hard working, self assured, courteous, confident and strong minded. She always gets her homework and chores done just in time, and gets perfect grades in school. Her confidence and her trust in herself sparked her not to listen to the other girls in her classes that pick on her for not making friends. She is kind to all, her teachers, the students, tourists around town and even animals. It's a shock to all when they moved her to New York. Now, she's been moved and she is less dependent on her aunts and is finally able to do things her way and make her own decisions. She is still hardworking and confident, just a little curious.
past Aurora was named after the Greek Goddess of Dawn by her parents before they died because she filled their lives with happiness and lit up their lives. They'd been hoping for a long time to have a baby, although the doctors told them they couldn't do it. They loved Rory much, until her mother died from cancer, and her father from grief over his wife, leaving Rory alone. Soon, her three close aunts came to her, taking her in to care for her.
Fast forward to Aurora's fifteenth birthday, two years ago. Aurora is becoming a usual teenage, she dreams of meeting a handsome guy, and living happily with him, while singing quietly to herself. At first, she is singing by herself while sitting in the bleachers at the football field at her school. But she soon meets another guy, who followed her voice. She is moony over him, and her aunts find out and tell her she is going to her god parents in New York, for they fear it'll go to her head.
present Now, Rory lives with Lea and Steven, her god-parents, who were close friends of her parents and have no children of their own. Rory doesn't understand why she moved, she just did. She lives in an apartment with her godparents, across from her favorite place in New York, Central Park. She thinks that it is a wonderful place, it can be quiet or noisy, just like she likes it. It reminds her of her home. Soon, she starts hearing a kind voice in her head, which calls itself "Briar Rose," like the character in Rory's favorite book, The Sleeping Beauty. Rory and Briar Rose soon learn to become friends, and Briar Rose guides her to other characters like her.
Now, Rory is more confident of herself with her friend in her head. It's like having a back up, even if Briar Rose isn't mean or doesn't have good comebacks. Rory then finds the other out-of-book people, and starts making friends. Rory enjoys her new life, although sometimes she does miss her family.
family Rory is an only child, and doesn't know who her parents are. She grew up with her aunts: Mirabelle Applegate, Tabbitha Briars and Elsie Terrance, who guarded her well. When she turned sixteen she moved to New York with her god parents.

rp sample Rory rolled over when she felt the hot sunlight on her cheeks. She pressed her reddening face into her cold white pillow and let out a semi-coherent "Aaaah" of relief. She had been shocked the month before when she walked into her room in the new apartment. It was white and pink, all of it. It was so different from her gray and blue room back at the beach house, that she had to squint at first to take it all in. The door was rounded at the top, which Rory loved, and was a pinkish wood. She liked it, and it opened to a wonderful room, she could say that, it just was really bright. The windows on the far wall were large, and opened to a balcony that overlooked the traffic and the city. So far, Rory had fallen in love with New York.
She sat up, yawning and throwing out her arms, bending her back until it let out a little crack. She let her arms drop, blinking her eyes a few times as she traced her finger on one of the embroidered pink roses on her IKEA bought duvet cover. Most of the things in her room were shipped in from IKEA, her desk, her bookshelves, her bedding, her bed, her chairs and her rug. After a moment of trying to fully wake herself, Aurora threw back her blankets, revealing her long legs poking out from her short nightgown as she threw her legs over the side of the bed and letting her bare feet touch the cool dark wood floors. Rory looked down at her feet and wiggled her toes, getting used to the chilly feel.
She smiled and plucked her robe off of her coat rack and wrapped it around herself, walking as silently as she could over to her rabbit's cage on the bookshelf in the corner. "G'morning, Flora," she whispered quietly, reaching in and stroking the little gray rabbit's fur. Just then, a voice rang out clear and loud through the apartment. "Aurora? Is that you, darling? Come out to the kitchen, breakfast is ready!" Lea's voice called from the kitchen part of the apartment. Aurora sighed, closing the cage and going out to get her breakfast, ready to face the day.
