personality Nicky is a shy boy, there is really no getting around it. His Father, a very uncouth Russian man, wanted nothing more than a son to go with his four beautiful daughters. Instead he got Nicky.
Nikolai Ivanovich is talented, but too nervous in crowds to involve himself too much. That is why he likes painting so much, because it isn't something he has to do with a crowd watching. He can also play guitar and sing a bit, but unless you know him quite well, you don't know it. He often fades into the back ground (like a moth).
He is also a good skateboard, as that is something he finds greatly freeing. There is something about flying around, the wind in your face, that makes it so attractive for him. Like he was meant to have wings or something. Which he knows sounds stupid...

past Nicky is the youngest son of Ivan Nikolovich Koussevitzky, who came to America to escape the Soviet Union, and Clara Robinson a pretty American. Together they had four beautiful daughters, but Ivan wanted a son to carry on the Koussevitzky name. Finally they had Nikolai Aleksandr Ivanovich Koussevitzky (what. a. mouthful.), who the family fondly called Koyla, a Russian pet name for the name Nikolai. Ivan soon found his son, well, for lack of a better word, to be a pansy. Not from lack of trying of course. Ivan attempted 'man his son up', on various hunting expeditions and whatnot. It was all to no avail.
He was just a fragile young man.
Still, Ivan could sleep well at night because he knew someday SOME girl out there would take his mouse of a son and produce a whole new line of Koussevitzky. That is of course, because Nicky never broke the news to dear old Dad that he was actually Gay. And, truth be told, as the idea makes him a little faint, he never plans to. Keeping such a secret wears on the young man, who shared his secret with no one for fear it would get back to Ivan, but the distance he moved gives him hope that he might be able to branch out and find someone special.
present After hearing that his favorite cousin (not that he has too many to choose from. But if he did, she'd still be his favorite.) Nicky decided it was time to venture out of New Jersey and take some charge with his life. The fact that Micah was there gave him some back bone, so that he could see a familiar face daily. He is sure by now Micah has figured out his little secret, even if it was never said aloud.
Nicky makes a meager living doing his paintings and as a courier. He spends his free time skateboarding, reading, and of course painting or sketching. Sometimes he goes to central park and paints or sketches the people he sees.
