personality Jimmy is not the one to let someone make the wrong decisions. If you're a friend or even an aquaintence, you're aware that you can come to her for any advice on any situation. And if you aren't, you'll be made aware pretty soon. She doesn't believe in letting your friends ruin any aspect of thier lives without some sort of intervention beforehand. If it so happens that you do get into trouble, for example landing yourself in jail, she'll bail you out and give you a great big fat "I told you so," because she's gives her advice for a reason, and what she says is usually right if she knows what the situation is about.
Now that that's out of the way, Jimmy is a very social person and will try and make friends, so long as she gets the right first impression. If she hears you're not a very nice or open-minded person, she pretty much gets it in her mind that your friendship isn't gonna work out. But, in this sense only, she likes being proven wrong. Otherwise she's right, and that's that. You may get the impression that she's full of herself with the 'oh shes always right' thing, but honestly she's just self-confident, which is not a bad thing. She's doesn't have the total bitch "I'M SO PERFECT AND YOUR SO LAME" kind of attitude, she sees herself as an equal to her friends, and someone who likes to help out. Jimmy honestly has your best interest in mind.
As mentioned earlier, she's a little judgemental according to reputation, but she feels she has to do this in order to remain a nice person. People who are narrow-minded and immediately disregard any decent-sounding ideas bring out the worst in her, and once the worst is brought out, it can linger for a while. And she doesn't direct her anger at the person causing it, she untentionally directs it at everyone, no matter which side they're on. Jimmy's easily frustrated when it comes to her dislikes and will not refrain from voicing those frustrations in front of anyone who's there to listen.
Jimmy can make quick and right desicions for her friends, but her own issues are another matter entirely. When faced with something that will directly affect her, she blanks and/or has to mull over the desicion for hours or even days, whereas solutions for her friends come almost instantly. It's really frustrating and she's been trying to figure out why the hell that is for years, but nothing has ever changed.
past Jemima Beatrice Carley was born on June 17th, 1992 to Celia and Sam Carley. On her mother's side there had been a history of daughters, and a history of old-fashioned, southern-sounding names for those daughters. Honestly, from an early age, Jemima thought it sounded like a suitable name for an old lady and insisted she be called Jimmy and nothing else. She was quite the spirited little toddler, but also very smart. In elementary school, she would always help people pick up thier crayons if they dropped their art box, advised them to be nice and good for the teacher, and pretty much campained that glue was was icky and should not be eaten, lest your insides stick together. It wasn't true, but of course she didn't know that at the time.
As she grew older, she began to help out more with psychological tpoics, such as academic problems and extrmeme behavioral issues like violence and etc. Her counselor absolutely adored her and would always call her in if someone Jimmy knew landed themselves in her office. It was said aloud, but it was no secret that she did a better job than the counselor herself in those situations. In high school, she was allowed to take psychology classes in freshman and sophmore years, rather than only in junior and senior year as usual. And guess what? Her male psycholgy teacher loved her too. In more ways than one. That was made clear at senior prom, and that was when she decided to get out of the small town because there was no way she was staying in that small town with that creep.
So, with only a small amount of convinicing after she explained to her parents what happened, her family took a college road trip. Barrie University immediately became a top priority, and applied as soon as possible. With a goodbye to her parents and the rest of her small-town friends and family, she moved into a dorm there and already knew what she was going to be focusing on. Why, psychology of course.
present Jemima attends Barrie University, and lives in the dorms there. She's made a whole ton of friends, but shied away from the teachers and became a silent top student. Her parents had made the school aware of her incident in high school, so the teachers take it easy on her for participation because her tests and essays are outstanding. But she still has this thing about staying away from teachers/professors, making sure someone else is in the room with her if the teacher has to talk to her about something.
She plans on becoming a psychiatrist, and staying in New York City to do so, seeing as the only person who needed psycholoical help in her hometown is now an unemployed teacher; divoriced, and shunned from the town eternally. It's hard to keep secrets in a small town, and they no one was exactly trying. She's fallen in love with the tall buildings and the lights and everything else, and would never plan on going back to the quiet town she came from.
