personality
Dutiful:: Molly has a strong sense of duty to her adoptive father, who has taken care of her since infancy. She has him in mind whenever making a choice; knowing that his image is quite important. This tends to put a damper on 'fun'.
Day Dreamer:: Molly always seems to have her mind elsewhere. She dreams of love and adventure, almost constantly.
Artist:: Molly adores painting and drawing! It's one of the few things that her Father has control over, and her imagination can go wild on on a canvas. One of her favorite places in the world is the Louve. She can also play the piano and the flute, and sing moderately well. Her Father encouraged productive hobbies.
Nervous:: Fueled by her over protective Father, Molly believes terrible things about the world. Therefore, Stranger tend to make her very nervous.
past Michele Toulouse was a hard, cold, man; and he believed the world to be a cruel and evil place. This was because, when he was young, he had been in love with an impoverished woman named Violette. However, Violette did not love him, despite his money, and instead chose to marry an artist named Matthew. Well, on an artists salary, when it came time to raise a family, Violette and Matthew were incapable of handling an unexpected pregnancy. In their desperation, Violette went to Michele (an aspiring diplomat at this point) for help. He offered to take the child from the woman he once loved, and raise her as his own.
And so a beautiful baby girl was born, and was whisked away the same night to England, where her Father was stationed by the French Government. She was named Molly Violette Toulouse. The family of two bounced from England, Scotland, France, and Austria for the first sixteen years of Mollys young life, their main 'home' being in her Father's hometown of Montmartre, France. To Michele's great disdain, his daughter showed a great interest in art.
To all of those who were intimate with the Toulouse's, an almost unhealthy over protectiveness was noted in the Father. Molly was home-schooled, and not allowed to play with children for fear they would get her sick. She was brought to the hospital often, as her Father was constantly afraid she was sick, but otherwise kept inside their intimidating abodes. Molly was his 'Precious Flower', and Michele decided early on that he would keep her selfishly hidden away; he would not have another Violette incident.
present Monsieur Toulouse was stationed in New York, thus lifting the family once more. New York, Molly finds, has more of the hustle and bustle that she craves than her other homes, though her Father was keen to remind his fair daughter that everyone in New York is either a Rapist or a Rape Victim (just watch Law and Order). Her Father's long work hours, and her lacking of supervision (having outgrown nannies), has been making adventuring to the outside quite tempting.

book title Rapunzel
backstory AA pregnant woman sends her husband to a witch's garden to pick up some rapunzel since she's craving it, and tells him she'll die without it. The witch catches the husband stealing from her garden, and tells him he can take some (since he loves his wife so much,) but she gets the baby when it's born. The husband agrees, brings it back to his wife.
The baby is born, the witch takes the girl, raises her and has her hair grow very long. When the girl is old enough, the witch locks her in a tower with no exit, and only a window. The only way to get in is by having the girl, Rapunzel, throw down her hair so that the witch can climb it.
One day, a prince comes by and sees the witch climbing the hair into the tower, and after the witch leaves, he calls out, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair." She lowers her hair, he climbs up, they have an epic love story -- until the witch finds out; however, this is after the prince got the girl pregnant.
The witch cuts off the girl's hair, and sends her into the wild and then ties the hair up, waits for the prince, and when he's climbing up (thinking it's his lover), she drops the hair -- and the prince. The prince is blinded in the fall, and roams the land in search of Rapunzel.
Eventually, he finds her, and she cries into his eyes. The tears cure him of his blindness. They have twins, and return to his kingdom to live happily ever after.

Her Father sat in his red chair, with the gold fringed tassels, reading his book that he'd been nursing for who knows how long. Dauphin and La Bella lay in front of the fire, resting their pure bred heads on their pure bred paws. And Molly played Nat Cole King's 'Nature Boy' on the piano, again, as it was her Father's favorite.
It would soon be followed by them separating for fifteen minutes, exactly, which they would spend changing for supper. They would then eat in the dinging room, in relative silence, for the first ten minutes. After this, Michele would speak to Molly about 'official' Father-Daughter business in English. This was to accommodate them to speaking to others in English, as oppose to their native French. In the event that he was pleased, or displeased, with an answer, Michele Toulouse would praise, or chide, his daughter in French, before continuing the robotic conversation in English. Dessert and coffee in the lounge, before they would play a round of chess, where her Father would invariably win. He would then comment on the time, and kiss Molly upon her forehead, telling her it was time for bed.
Routine. Monotony. Boredom.
But not tonight.
Stopping in the middle of the number, very suddenly, Molly stared at the monotone keys as if they symbolized her life. In their own special case, lacking color. It was heart breaking, that moment. But the cracking of her own heart was interrupted, as suddenly as it started, when her Father cleared his throat, bidding her to continue. Slowly, she re-picked up pace. Someday, when she would stop playing the piano, and he would clear his throat, she would tell him. Tell him that she wanted friends, and to go to the mall with those friends, and meet boys that would cause those friends to giggle and smirk. And one of those boys would love her. That boy who loved her would take to the movies, and buy her pop corn. And then they would kiss, and love one another. Babies, marriage, a cat? Not necessarily in that order.
Someday.
Today, she would continue to play the piano. And change for dinner, and make conversation. She would then play chess with her Father, and he would win. He would then comment on the time, and kiss her upon her forehead, and off to bed Molly would go. Just like yesterday, just like tomorrow.
But there was always someday to look forward to.
