The clock was ticking up above his head, the final test for his final grade that could waver from being an A+ student all through his collage courses so far or be a complete failure in this class. The time was close to up, and Zackery didn’t know if he could write fast enough even with his companion secretly writing the other half of the essay. Backwards. They were a great team, when it came to time, not always as much when it came to being under pressure although because this is when Zackery usually started to ‘talk to himself’. Because no one could see that furry little rabbit at his feet, no one besides the man who had taken up his mind for three fourths of the testing time at least.
MARSHALL
That was the one word that had been going through his mind all night, and he didn’t quiet understand why he started to blush at the thought that they were going out on a date and he had told him he would be there exactly five minutes ago. Damn test, he had through it would be easy but the teacher played a fast one and changed the prompt on them in the last few minutes before the test. Zackery was usually the first one done, and he probably still could be because no one else was done yet either.
He could hear then, the last few final clicks of the timer up at the front of the class before he snatched up the papers from his furry friend at his feet and stuck the essay together in order bolting off to the front of the class from the back where he usually sat right up in front of the clock. He stapled together the papers then handed them to the stunned teacher right as the buzzer rang. Moments latter he was out the door holding his bag, with his white rabbit now known as Azul sitting on top of the bag.
He was off in a flash, catching the quickest train he could he started to adjust his rag tag hair and clothing fixing the positioning of his pocket watch and a snazzy vest he wore as well today trying to look a little more tidied up then usual before taking out a blue napkin to fold into a perfect form to fit into his vest pocket. They would be dinning out tonight, and they were meant to be going as friends but Zackery had made it out to be a date on the other hand as well. With this, he in fact very much liked the idea and it was a complete surprise to him that he in fact found out he liked men. Although he had never dated much he was not sure if he would shoot down girls either. So he kept an open mind on that part.
He slung his bag over his shoulder and he and the white rabbit (from his favorite book Alice In Wonderland) ran out into the station and up the stairs to make there way quickly before entering the restaurant known as The Great Stone Dragon. He was panting softly as he again started to put himself together although that slight crazed look was in his eyes. He was late, by a good TWO MINUTES he was late! And it was driving him up the wall.

Marshall had a DATE! A very important date that could be a pivotal turning point in his life (aside from ‘merging’ with Merryweather). He had awoken with a smile and went through his house cleaning wearing the same smile. He was going out with a very cute man with a little cute rabbit, yet that wasn’t the real reason that he was so happy. The real reason was that Marshall knew that Zack liked him because he invited him out on a date. Zack had called Marshall and informed him of where they would be dining out, but Marshall just wanted to know whose house they’d end up staying at that night. Thus, the reason Marshall spent most of his day cleaning and preparing his house for a possible guest.
Marshall finished some final touches to his completely blue apartment before he gathered his outfit and ran to the shower. He sung a sweet melody as he cleansed his body of any foreign odors. Marshall believed that your voice was improved when in the shower because the steam relaxed your vocal cords, thus causing you to sing beautifully like his dear Rose. Marshall sniffed back a tear as the thought of his Dear Rose singing and smiling. Oh how he missed her.
Marshall shook the thought of Rose out of his mind as he continued getting ready for his date with the adorable Librarian guy with the cute little rabbit. Marshall couldn’t stop thinking about Zack, because he had become almost utterly obsessed with Zack. It was probably from Merryweather’s infatuation with the only male that had ever shown a bit of interest in her. Technically, Marshall was the one that Zack wanted, but Marshall wouldn’t be in the situation had it not been for Merryweather. He’d still be banging some two-cent whore for a line of coke.
Marshall checked himself in the mirror. His outfit was neat and clean, his hair slightly spiked with a messy look, he smelt like a million bucks (more like blueberry muffins), and his smile was pearly as ever. He felt the first few butterflies enter his stomach as he slid into the cute little 2010 Nissan Versa that he conjured up from a blue ball. Unlike, that ‘Bippity Boppity’ spell, his spell would last until something broke the spell. Marshall’s little blue guiding cloud took him to The Great Stone Dragon.
Marshall went through the doors and the delicious aroma of the restaurant made his mouth-water. He looked around and found Zack and Azul sitting at a table for two a bit distant from the other customers. “Zackery, dearest! Hi!” Marshall spoke as he slid into the chair across from the man. Zack looked especially charming tonight. Marshall definitely approved. “And sweet, sweet Azul.” Marshall smiled kindly to the little white rabbit. “How are you both?”

Zackery was very nervous, he and the white rabbit both for whatever reason that may be. They both seamed on edge, sharing the emotions of hating to be late but at the same time not knowing where else to go while they waited so they passed in front of the cash register maybe annoying few of the workers in the restaurant but not really caring only caring about that man he was waiting for, what else would they do he though beside do this, dinner. Then his thoughts were interrupted by the chiming voice, the only voice that would have made him and the white rabbit jump out of there shared thoughts. Zackerys head shot up and looked at the man as he came charging into the restraint.
Zackery had not ever noticed that he had been ushered over to a table and sat down, Azul (the white rabbit) sitting in his lap soon after as he zoned out and looked into the distance thinking. Now, he stood up straight, the rabbit falling out of his lap but landing on only its head on the ground glared up at him while Zackerys eyes took in the other man. Zack’s hand moved up to his face as he took in his dinner date, he found his usual messy unshaved whiskers and seamed to blush not realizing he had forgotten to shave before coming here tonight. O, wait, he couldn’t have he had a test and had nearly left work late earlier in the day! It had just been all around a late kind of day, but not it was time to relax and catch his breath. He didn’t even remember right then that his date had been more late then he.
Zackery had stood up to try and take his companions hand and do the gentlemanly thing by kissing it, but of course Marshall flew right on by him and sat across from him in the seat that had been vacant, inwardly he smiled and sat back down quickly looking at the other man, all decked out in blue he adjusted his napkin beside his plate kinda awkwardly and said a little louder then needed in his usual always up and down crazy state. “Hello! I am glad you could come, um…” He looked down at Azul who had jumped up onto the table and was next to Marshall in a way demanding more attention then he and very happy when he too was recognized. Zackery seamed to relax, just a bit more and watched as Azul answered for them,” We are having a very late and hardship fullness of a day of uncourced events that are not of our normal liking.” AKA, they were stressed, and the look on there faces that was truly calmed showed perfectly well that they very well had needed this night out and were happy to be there with Marshall right then.

Marshall smiled happily at the pair, which were perfect for one another. Zackery was calm, collected, with a bit of a twitch to his movements, while Azul was energetic, and craving attention. So after Azul finished his little rant, Marshall hurriedly scooped Azul into his arms and set him gently on his lap. "Well, you relax then." Marshall whispered to the white rabbit while rubbing its head. Marshall looked down at the rabbit and smiled, Azul was such a cute little rabbit with his little blue waist. Turning his attention back to his date, Marshall felt another smile cross his lips.
Zackery was definitely looking extra good tonight. His scruffy beard wasn't the best, but he rocked it and it suited him. "So, how did the test go?" Marshall asked with sincere curiosity. Marshall could easily manipulate the teacher to change the grade, if he needed to. However, Zackery seemed smart enough to pass a test. Marshall wanted to add something, but the waitress walked up and greeted them with a happy hello and a cute smile. She wasn't phased as she looked between the two men before asking for what they'd like to drink. " Blue Lagoon. Keep them coming." Marshall stated happily. The girl smiled then nodded, and turned to Zackery.

Azul was so happy, it was unusual for the two to be so at peace and this even now was only because it was Marshell, a man so miraculious and differient then it completly confused Zackery. Marshell understood them, could see them both and understood in his own way what they were. It was a new thing and Azul and Zackery were still getting used to the sensation of having someone else there who understood how they felt. Zackery was so distracted in his own thoughts it took him a moment to realize that the waitress had walked over to there table and was asking him what he wanted to drink, Zackery jumped a little bit popping out of his own little world he looked up at the waitress having only heard what his date had ordered. So he made a snap desision. "Coke, one of us has to be sober on the way home." He said, a tiny smirk on his lips he said," so have as many as you want. Just dont make me have to drag your unconious butt around because he is not usefull with helping that kind of stuff." Zackery pointed out Azul, Zackery very calm even in this crouded element of a restraunt.
Azul's ears went down, and he looked up at Marshell in a way that said 'you going to let him do that to me?' and then looked down. Zackery blinked seeing this motion and for a second not understanding he frowned a little bit, Azul wanted all of the attention it seamed, well in a way Zack did too, that was besides the point though he was on a date with MArshell, not Azul! He shook his head a bitt, looking over at a waitor who was giving him a wierd look and Zackery did not understand why, maybe it was because he was uncontiously mumbling under his breath answers and equations from the test he had just finished taking.
It was then that he contiously thought about the test that he remembered Marshell's question and he seamed to sit up a little more, happy for conversation he said, giving a awkward smile. "I dont think we have anything to worry about, I always do well especualy with me...work ethic." He said plainly as Marshell knew his work ethic already from seeing him at work in the library. Zackery got a little tence, not sure what else to say, not used to dating, or going out much. No less, he had never been out with another male before which would still make Azul roll his eyes if he said it out loud, how did Azul know and he did not? Must be that even as being seen seperate they were the same, Zackery had never thought about how rabbits could be gay too, but that left his mind as he looked back at Marshell and the man in blue seamed to distract him completly from his wondering and uncontroled mind, pulling him into the present and taking his attention from everything else, maybe even time.

Marshall's gaze was caught by Zackery's always twitchy movements and the low mumble of questions and answers. He was so far off the wall of the norm, but Marshall liked that about the guy. Hell, Marshall wasn't the far behind the guy, so it all seemed to work out perfectly in Marshall's mind. Marshall quirked a brow at Zackery's answer and then realization wrapped around his mind and thoughts. Zackery was wanting to take Marshall home after the date, and he had smoothly stated such things. "Yeah." Marshall had literally been left speechless, but in such a good way that it made him think more.
As a smile crossed his lips, Zackery and him shared a short moment of sweet silence while looking into one anothers eyes.
