personality
Raging bonkin' mad. He can't sit still. He's nonsensical. And refuses to be rational. His temper is short. When he gets angry, you'll know. Any emotions of his go to the extremes. Always. Come to think of it, Haddy is probably bipolar to some extent. Twitchy and nervous, something has always got him worked up.
Haddy is quite the downer. Very negative, a pessimist. His anger doesn't help with that in the least. Rarely' he'll be optimistic. It usually happens when he's up on tea and slap happy. So, to sum it up, he can go from happy to sad in a pich and you';ll most likely think he's on a drug of some sort. All fun and good, right?
past
HE was born. And dropped on his head. And quite possibly used as a basket ball when he was a child. He grew up, got put in dresses and married to teddy bears and went to tea parties all at the whim of his sisters. His sisters dressed him up countless times. He loved it. The clothing and the tea. Oh yes, that was his life. By the time that he was almost ready for school, his mom had left them. She was a whore, and their father found this out after coming home from work about an hour early that day. It turns out the UPS guys are no longer allowed near their home. At all. But he eventually made his way into school after that, and wasn't all that shabby.
As Haddy got older, he found a new love to go along with the tea parties. Making his own hats. After all, there were so many different patterns and colors and shapes and sizes and types! He couldn't resist! It was an obsession of his. His father gave him odd looks, but didn't seem to mind. It did keep him away from drugs and sex and such. Haddy's sisters ignored him. They moved on to bigger and better things, high school, guys and no more tea parties. He grew away from them. No tea parties meant they didn't count as human anymore. But he was happy, and that's all he cared about.
By the time high school rolled around Haddy stayed away from people altogether. They didn't get him. The hats. The tea. The pants of his choice (pajama). So he gave up on them, they didn't like him so they didn't matter. Never once had he had a girlfriend, he didn't mind. That's what dolls were for. Like his hand-made rag doll that was taller than he was. Her name was Molly and she was his date to all the school dances.
Eventually, he grew into college. Moving the dolls and the hats and the tea cups into his dorm room. By moving in I mean, COMPLETELY COVERING THAT MOTHER FUGGER. He had no room mate, no one wanted him. So he carried on in solitude. He got his bachelor's degree in theater education. Then he headed to the big wormy apple.
present
He made his way in New York as a drama teacher at Baum academy. His days are spent in his shoddy apartment thinking up new acting games for his students and such.
One student in particular caught his eye. The Ms. Bethany Harris. he was hoping to get to, er... know her a little better. If you get the message. Although the only think hindering him is the age difference. And the fact he's a teacher. Ouch. AND HE SUBS AT THE UNIVERSITY.
family I could be sue-ish and go With 'THEY ALL DIED." But I won't. Let's go with a Dad and four sisters, mmkay? Mom's not dead, she was just a whore and left.

book title "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"
backstory
The Hatter explains to Alice that he and the March Hare are always having tea because, when he tried to sing for the Queen of Hearts at her celebration, she sentenced him to death for "murdering the time," but he escapes decapitation. In retaliation, Time (referred to as a "Him") halts himself in respect to the Hatter, keeping him and the March Hare stuck at 6:00 forever. The tea party, when Alice arrives, is characterized by switching places on the table at any given time, making short, personal remarks, asking unanswerable riddles and reciting nonsensical poetry, all of which eventually drive Alice away. He appears again as a witness at the Knave of Hearts' trial, where the Queen appears to recognize him as the singer she sentenced to death, and the King also cautions him not to be nervous "or I'll have you executed on the spot."
When the character makes his appearance as "Hatta" in Through the Looking-Glass, he is in trouble with the law once again. This time, however, he is not necessarily guilty: the White Queen explains that quite often subjects are punished before they commit a crime, rather than after, and sometimes they do not even commit it at all. He is also mentioned as being one of the White King's messengers, and the March Hare appears as well as "Haigha", since the King explains that he needs two messengers: "one to come, and one to go." Sir John Tenniel's illustration also depicts him as sipping from a teacup as he did in the original novel, adding weight to Carroll's hint that the two characters are very much the same.
