personality If curiosity killed the cat, then Izzy Brookes has killed plenty of cats in her day. Adventure is her middle name, and she always dives right into things without considering the consequences. If you need someone that will hug a snake, or ride the biggest rollercoaster, or try to hold her breath for ten minutes for the fun of it…she’s your gal! She’s a fun and caring friend, but she usually ends up getting her buddies into trouble. Izzy is known for her encouraging grins, and her assurances of, “It’ll be fine!” or “It’s not dangerous” or “Don’t be a baby!” In addition, she’s not the most trustworthy companion. At school, she’s a bit of a gossip, and she truly believes anything she hears. She doesn’t do it because she’s cruel or vindictive. She simply doesn’t understand why people don’t want to be talked about!
Izzy is definitely a hopeless romantic, and quite a flirt. She’s not a whore- she’s more about the “look, don’t touch” kind of flirting- but she’s incredibly into the idea of true love. She usually goes through stages where she worships a particular boy, claims she’s going to marry him someday, and then changes her mind.
Izzy could also be considered a top level drama queen. When she’s happy, she’s ecstatic. When she’s sad, she’s wallowing in despair. She always seems to take her life to the extreme, and blow things out of proportion. That’s only another reason why she can’t really be trusted. If you tell her you have a crush on a boy…she’ll tell everyone that you intend to marry him.
past Izzy was born as the seventh and youngest daughter in the Brookes family on April 14, 1994. Her mother died while giving birth to her, leaving her alone with her father and six older sisters. She was always pampered as the baby of the family, given whatever she wanted, as daddy’s little girl. But that didn’t mean she was completely off the hook.
Izzy’s family has always been high class…and they’ve always been very, very competitive. Her father is one of the most famous swimming coaches in the state, and therefore, each of his daughters swim competitively. By the time Izzy was ten, she was competing against hundreds of other swimmers, and training for hours on end. She loved the water. It almost felt like her home. But after a while, she got absolutely sick of it. She begged and whined and pleaded with her father to let her quit, but he would not allow it. Just to spite him, she began arriving at practices late and slacking off at competitions. As punishment, he would ground her, but she would simply sneak out.

Izzy is now a junior at Baum Academy, following in the footsteps of her sisters. She’s an honor student, but she really doesn’t want to be…and she’s only pulling A’s because if she doesn’t, her daddy will take away her credit card. She is a member of choir, and she plays the piccolo in band. She is still being forced to swim, even though she constantly shows her despair, and skips out on practices.
Currently, Izzy has some ah-mazing friends. Her closest ones have to be Becky Carlson, Christie Jamison, and Cleo Everett. Becky and Cleo are definitely loyal friends…but Christie might be a whole another story.
