distinctive traits She's always cold. Not like she's constantly trying to warm up; as in her skin is continually icy-cold.
...personal*
personality Elizabeth's personality can be summed up in one word: icy. Everything about her is cold, and usually removed as well.
Probably the most noticeable cold personality trait of hers is her rage. When she is angry, her voice will drop down to barely audible tones, her eyes will narrow, her eyebrows slant down infinitesimally, and her lips purse. Elizabeth will slowly ask the offender some questions. If you are the target of her anger, you better watch what you say: she has connections, and isn't afraid to use them. She can probably ruin you. Unfortunately, her rage lies just below the surface, revealing itself often.
She is quiet. Not that she doesn't speak a lot- to people who are worthy, but when she does, it's always in very soft tones. Only revealing what she wants you to see, Elizabeth lies, leads people to believe, tells only what she wants you to know. She can be incredibly seductive- Elizabeth has practiced before, and the men come flocking like flies- but she's not yet found a man she wants.
She's vindictive, manipulative, quiet, removed, icy, cruel, seductive, dishonest and angered easily. Quite the woman.
past
Not long after she was born- on December 3rd, 34 years ago- her mother died, already frail, and weakened from the birth. Her father- a rich businessman- was devastated. Guess money doesn't buy happiness. Leaving his baby girl to be raised by his house staff in New York City, he instructed them to never, ever refuse her something, thus producing this powerful, spoiled brat of a girl, who soon realized she got what she wanted easier if she pretended to be sweet. She loved being really young and small (at eleven, she was only three foot five; she didn't begin her long growth spurt until she was thirteen) because she could spy on people and manipulate them- nobody was going to suspect an itty-bitty little girl.
As she grew, she barely knew her father; he was hardly ever home, and when he was, he avoided her like a demon. She always had reminded him of her mother. A private chauffer took her wherever she wanted, and she always loved New York. When she graduated high school, she used the college money her father gave her to explore the world, having the servants tell him she had gotten a degree in world cultures- nothing like learning from experience, right?
Afterwards, she got into modeling. Her tall, slim form was her ticket into that world, not to mention her fair skin and hair. From here, she became her own woman, putting half the yearly money she recieved from it- $300,000- into an IRA fund. Although she still got a big monthly allowance, she no longer depended on Daddy.
present
Lately she's been feeling as though there is something missing . . . although she can't quite tell what. Perhaps it is the spring; the winter coming to an end once more. She's been wandering New York, even more irate than usual, looking for goodness only knows what.
She's actually quite enjoyed her new explorations of NYC, and is meeting new people. Elizabeth watches, and inwardly laughs at their ridiculous antics, spurred by emotions. Why would anyone ever let emotions rule their mind? Then you would be acting on how you felt rather than how you should act. And then there were the worse ones- the people who acted as slaves to their physical desires: drinking, doing drugs, having sex with anyone who would take the, and so on and so forth. If they wanted to wreck their lives, let them. She just thought their stupidity was hilarious.

...literature*
book title The Snow Queen
backstory
The Snow Queen took a boy named Kay from his little hometown on her sled after a shard of an evil mirror pierces his eye and his heart, making the former see no beauty in the world, and the latter freezing over. She kisses him to make him numb to the cold, and once more to make him forget his home. The Snow Queen (who is most obviously the ruler of snow, more or less) sets him to the task of spelling eternity with the ice. If he does, he shall be free of her, having all the world, and a pair of new skate in the bargain. For a long time, Kay is unable to complete the puzzle, until his friend from his hometown (Gerda) comes and rescues him.
