Oh, uh, hi. This is, um, David Schuyler here...
[sounds of deep breathing]
Really, I don't know what I'm doing, or even why I'm doing this. No, that's a lie. I'm doing this because one day [pause] I might not be here. And...I want to be here. I mean, I want to stay here. I must sound all bitter to the people around me and stuff. I am.
[shuffling noises and pounding of feet as starts pacing]
What did I do to deserve this? What did my parents do? They lied to me. [pause and deep breathing] but they deserve to be happy still. No one deserves this. Even as I'm talking...my hand is shaking, my head is pounding. I don't even know [voice chokes off, more deep breathing]
Whatever. I have to go and try to down some crackers with some pills. Later.
