...personal*
personality Ditzy. Blonde down to the very core. She has her moments of intelligence when she absolutely has to--but she's not in school, and she works in a club. Why would she need her brains? She's a bit naive, and has been labeled as a 'hussy' 'dumb blonde' and 'homewrecker'. Why do girls seem to hate blondes anyway?
Lazy. She likes to sleep. And tends to sleep in quite odd places. Sometimes she'll curl up behind the bar when she's off her shift, and sleep underneath it. Or upright in her seat, if she's bored enough. She often remains groggy for a few hours after she wakes up--in which she may spew some nonsense, or trip over her own shadow.
Party Girl. Oh, but when she's awake, she's bright eyed and bushy-tailed. She's a new bartender at Down the Rabbit Hole, the best club in New York; and does a few stints at Sahara when they're short on bartenders. She's able to dress sexy, show off her assets--without having to get terribly naked like those Sahara girls. And when she's off for the night, or has a break? She's in the crowd, dancing, or rockin' next to the DJ. When she's awake, her life is a party, and that's all there is to it.
past
She grew up in, in her own humble opinion, the best city in the entire world. There was nothing like New Orleans. Mardi Gras, jazz in the french quarter every morning. REAL french bread, crawfish, jumbalaya, and hot hot hot plantation peppers. It was her own wonderland--no pun intended of course.
Her life consisted of lounging about, enjoying the music, and living in the big easy, because that's all it was. The big easy. Except for one day...things became a little more difficult for the easy living young lady. Her favorite place had always been Storyland. A tad run down--it seems no one came through here anymore. A few tourists game though, but the locals never seemed to have too much time for the nostalgia.
One day, she had just been sitting inside one of the tiny play-houses, chewing on the perfectly sweet beignet---when she heard the most frightened squeaking. She scrambled outside of the playhouse, and following the sound of the squeaking--it was coming from not too far away. As she moved closer, the squeaking sounded more like words. "Cat! Cat! Oh goodness, oh dear. Where's my teapot? How--Cat, oh dear."
Each step she took, seemed to cause the word to shake around her. A ghost of a teaparty infront of her. Shouting, madness, throwing of cups. The next step, her word was dark, and she seemed to be floating in a tea scented pot, feeling quite tired. Her next step, and she was at some sort of trial, but ever so tired--unable to remain focused. And her final step, brought her back to reality, where a tiny, little dormouse was being cornered by a rather large tabby feline.
"Hey! Leave that poor mouse alone!"
With the beignet forgotton(she wears to this day, that's what made her crazy,), she scooped the petrified mouse up, and listened to all the little words it whispered to her.
present
Thanks to the Dormouse's(Dor for short) whispering, she was led to new-york. Something about having to find Alice, before the Queen or the Jabberwock did. A fiercely determined little voice whispering in her ear, telling her she had to find help, or protect Alice. Though--all that determination did make them both rather tired.
She took her long trip to New York with her parent's blessing, and used the money she had made over time in New Orleans, to buy a small, run-down loft in the city. She began school at Barrie University, and there she remained--just now starting her Junior year. And the years she stayed here, London and Dormouse kept a very tired eye open, looking for Alice...or something much worse.
Dormouse often hides beneath her hair. Clinging to her shoulder to keep from being the meal of a lucky cat. After all--hiding under her hair is the best place. He can whisper in her ear, and there's an extra set of eyes warning her, for anythign unplesant. Though, London often forgets that she's not supposed to be talking to an animal---and often appears to be speaking to herself.
To any normal, sane person, there was just a little mouse squeaking--and depending how excited Dor is, the louder the squeaking...but to those awakened...they may just be able to make out high-pitched little words. Either way---London still parties, but has that ever watchful eye.

other notes
Dor is ALWAYS with her, or nearby. He typically hides under her hair, when he needs to be conspicious. But at home, or amongst friends--he'll sit on her head, or her shoulder. Dormant/normal people just see him as a strangely obediant little pet mouse. Awakened people may notice that he seems to be looking at certain things intently, and will notice him speak. The more they notice Dor's voice--the clearer he'll sound.
This is what Dor looks like.
...literature*
book title Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
backstory Dormouse was the tired participant of the Mad Teaparty. He was rarely awake--often sleeping in a teapot, or his chair, mumbling nonsense while groggy. In the 2010 version of the movie--the Dormouse was a fierce little thing, apprehensive of Alice, though doing its best to protect Alice and inhabitents of Wonderland.
This Dor embodies the sleepy-aspects of the literature Dormouse, but has the protective traits of the modernized Dormouse.
