personality Mischevious. Jake's been known to get in a bit of trouble, and play harmless little jokes. His charming smile usually gets him OUT of said trouble. All he has to do is blink those big blue eyes at most people, and he's out of harm's way.
He's a bit clumsy, but tends to have a very feline aspect. He never really ACCIDENTALLY trips. Or. ACCIDENTALLY runs into the door. He does it on purpose. He ment do that. And don't you dare tell him otherwise.
Jake has that "rockstar" look, the shaggy hair, slapped together clothing, and the usual shadow on his chin. He'll be the first to turn his nose up at something someone's said to him, and he'll be the quickest to tell you where you can shove it. But deep down, he's loyal to his friends. And he's quite the softie.
past Growing up in LA could be fun. If you liked the water. Which Jake did not. Showers were normal, that was fine. Oceans, and rain were not. Which was even harder, since his childhood best friend seemed to adore the water like she was some sort of fish or something.
He often put up with the loathing of the ocean, just to spend time with her. But his distaste for the water, prevented him from ever learning how to swim. And that simple disliking of the water became full on hydrophobia. He will not get within two inches of anything deeper than a bathtub.
Jake grew up with his Dad, his mom having remarried and gone off long ago. Leaving him in a small loft apartment with his dad, who never realized that he was never going to make it in the big times.
Jake often had to teach himself, and take care of himself. His father too busy desperately trying to put "gigs" together to take care of his son. And his mother never returning any calls.
present One day, he finally had enough. Jake packed his things, and set off in his beat down Ford Probe. He wasn't sure where he was headed, but he wanted to get as far from the ocean as possible. It was then, that he saw a roadsign that read New York, New York was only 204 miles away.
And it stuck in his head that New York was where he needed to be.
He remained in New York for four years, beginning his college education, and coming close to closing it, he's starting to get curious at where to go from here. Not really set on what his future holds, he's been drifting from job to job. He has found a particular liking to working at the sweets shop not too far from his apartment complex.
He's also often seen at Baum Academy, working with the music students along side the music director, as he wants to be a music teacher once he's completed college.
