hometown Fankfurt, Germany
sexuality Straight
personification Dracula

...appearance*
hair color Bleach dyed blond is the most accurate description. It is kept average length and slicked back against his scalp a good portion of the time. The roots always seem to be dark, though it might be a stylized choice. Either way it doesn't look natural the way it has been dyed.
eye color Gray blue. Usually they seem dark, cold, and focused. Nothing quite seems to reach those calculating orbs. Sometimes his eyes will seem particularly bright, usually right after he feeds when he is closest to living, and appear a vivid gray blue.
build Built. Valko keeps himself in very good shape. He is made up of lean muscle and clearly could hold his own in a fight if it ever came to it. Six pack abs, built arms, and the list just keeps rolling. He likes how he looks and keeps it that way.
height 5'11” He isn't all that tall but he isn't short either. Still he, unlike many of the men running about New York doesn't quite breech the 6 foot mark.
clothing style Now here is where the man sticks out a bit. In lieu of his old favorite the cape, he has switched to the black leather trench coat. Under it he wears slacks, most commonly, and varying nicer shirts. He likes to look good, in a way he feels makes him look good anyways.
distinctive traits His canines, though they retract into his gums, are sharper then the average person and appear almost animal like even when pulled back. They are still ungodly sharp and so he smiles with lips closed when he does to avoid suspicion. His eyes also resemble an animal when in human form, if they catch the light just right they shine with an opal like quality.
...personal*
personality Charming- You wouldn't think it but the first vampire to ever have been written about was a charmer. He is great with words and a wonderful sweet talker. He can convince people hes harmless despite his appearance and does so often to get himself a meal. His smooth tongue and rather good looks make it easy enough to woo a willing meal. Why bother to fight when you can get people to walk away to their own deaths.
Mysterious- Maybe this is a good quality as well as a bad but the man certainly has it. It could be the way he looks at people, a steady, focused stare. It also could be the way he walks, more like an animal then a human in his steady, measured slink. People mistake it for confidence but really its just part of who, well what, he is. His responses to questions about his past come out cryptically which help add to his air of mystery.
Smart Alic- Valco is always itching for a fight. So how does one start a fight without causing it? You get snippy with people. So he uses sarcasm more often then not, especially when dealing with men. He is often sweeter with the fairer sex treating them with a little more delicacy. He has these wonderful powers he just wants an excuse to use. After all in modern day America? Vampires are still just myths. In the older countries, he could never go back to Romania, they still were nervous about such things. Here it was all legend.
past The easiest way to explain Valco's life is he simply woke up one day. It was not quite so pleasant as just waking up from a dream. His last memory was those horrid mortals driving a knife into his heart. He remembered the pain strongly and had clutched at his mortal chest, well semi-mortal. Then he had fallen to dust and there was darkness.
A century passed, and as if only an instant had gone by he awoke. It was startling, painful, and terrifying. He woke to the sun hitting his face through open blinds. With a shout of shock he had torn himself from bed and thrown himself into the nearest corner. His eyes widened as he had come to the realization his hands were not his own. Slowly he stared at his skin then the sun realizing he wasn't burning. Slowly, carefully, he stepped into the light and cringed at its brilliance. It was warm and he wasn't burning. That wasn't to say it didn't burn his eyes as if he was going blind. He staggered away from the window right as a woman wandered in telling him, in German (Which he was thankful he knew) to get out of bed and get ready for school.
He tugged at his shirt and nodded the best he could to get her out of the room. He had a mother? This had to all be a dream. He had never died, he was still fast asleep in his castle and a man would come tomorrow to help him sell his castle. Then he would move to America and kill as he liked. The woman left and he stared about at the furniture, this was not the common fold, he had never seen anything like it.
His eyes hit a pair of sunglasses on the bedside table. They looked far different then the glasses from his time, and were far lighter but seemed amazingly sturdy. With a cock of his teenage head he pulled them on and stepped to the window. His eyes took in a sight that nearly killed him, again. It was very obviously not 1897. He searched around the room until he found a piece of paper, it appeared to be schoolwork of some kind, and read the date. He placed the paper down and ran his fingers through his hair.
What in hells name was going on! He was dead... or he had been. His eyes lit up at the idea. Someone had given him a second chance on life. He was, well sort of, human again. He wandered into the wash room and marveled at himself in the mirror. He was lean, pale and toned. No longer was he in a centuries old body. He was fit, young and thrilled to be alive.
Quickly he got dressed, in what he hoped was normal because it was all this person he had taken over seemed to have, jeans and a teeshirt. He would have to fix that. He was a count and he would not dress so plainly in the future if it could be avoided.
He got downstairs and was about to walk out the door when again the woman he assumed to be his bodies mother snapped at him, something about breakfast. His eyes lit up and he hurried to the table, real food! He sat down and stared at the pop tarts in wonder. His bodies mother must be a brilliant cook to make it so fast! He devoured it and found he could taste. Still his hunger didn't even begin to be touched. It was delicious, but he needed something more. His eyes flashed as he turned and walked out without saying goodbye.
He didn't bother going to school, he didn't really know it existed other then the school paper in the bedroom and that was hardly something he wanted to do. He was a several century old vampire who was rediscovering this new world. School be damned.
He spent the day strolling about in and out of shops learning the world around him. The horseless buggies were the easiest to avoid and he quickly picked up upon the movements. He met a girl who was also ditching school, but did so knowingly, and he wooed her and took his first meal. His fangs had become a part of his new body and retracted when he wasn't using them, a definite upgrade. He killed her behind a Chinese restaurant and moved her body into the dumpster. He might be new to the area but he wasn't stupid. He bit the wrist instead of the neck and made it look like suicide. His hunger was stated and he realized, though he could taste human food he still needed blood to survive. This was an existence he could understand.
His days progressed like this his 'parents' explaining away his suddenly rebellious behavior as being a teenager. He kept himself under the radar but soon enough bodies started appearing, and the disappearances began to get noticed. Weeks went by and still no sign of the killer but Valko was getting nervous. He had to find a way to avoid this problem. So one day, when he was walking passed a supermarket he saw a sign for a blood drive and his world suddenly opened up. They collected human blood! What on earth did they need it for. He went in and asked so many questions the woman finally shooed him off taking it as a prank. Then again that was probably for the better because there might be questions. Sure he had a beating heart now but he had to skirt in shadows and stay out of direct sun to keep his skin from hurting, but thankfully not burning, and his eyes from becoming utterly useless.
So he started going to school and learning the history that got them there. He played nice at school, he wasn't going to kill a classmate there was too many variables that could get him caught. So he lived with his parents until he graduated. His parents were relieved that his rebellious phase had been so short, still the killer hadn't been discovered. So after his graduation he did away with his parents, just plain got them out of the picture. Their deaths were blamed on the murderer. Valko played a great grieving son, the will was settled. He inherited everything. Dracula had a plan.
He sold the house the first chance he got and moved to America, particularly upstate New York. There he studied the medical field, particularly Flabotomy (Blood). He had to eat every day before class to not lose his mind and it was still infuriating to be so close to so much blood and unable to drink. It was like leading a man who had been lost in the desert to the ocean, you could see it but drinking it might kill you.
So he graduated, with honors, from the small private college and moved to New York City with a masters. It didn't take him long to get hired on working at the blood bank. So many orders were prossessed each day he could easily sneak a few bags every couple days, and simply write the inventory himself. He was a hit and everyone liked him. He was friendly and funny with his coworkers, again he played his part well. Soon enough he was running the blood bank, it was a difficult job not in what he had to do, but how he had to do it.
present Valko is working hard at the Sacred Heart Hospital. He runs the blood bank of the hospital and fills orders, as well as running blood drives. He does a lot more then that but that is his job in a nut shell. He speaks fluent English, with a thick accent, but prefers German as it's his bodies mother tongue.
He lives in a rather nice apartment alone and it is rare he will invite people over. He just prefers the solitude, however he works with the outside world when he must. He grows lonely though and imagines turning a woman to keep him company. Then again he had three wives in Transylvania but those blasted humans had killed all three. He wonders if anyone else was resurrected on a regular basis especially Hellsing, he wanted to tare the mans head off himself.
Recently he has relearned how to transform, as in the story he has the power to become both a bat and a wolf. He loves using animal forms for transportation because, quite honestly, he gets car sick. He has never gotten used to the new forms of transportation and avoids both cars and the subway. Because of this he lives rather close to the hospital, and where better for a vampire to hunt.
In his spare time he works out and wanders the streets, he doesn't like being home seeing as it is so lonely there. Soon he intends to seek out anyone from his story, he doesn't realize yet that he is just a character from a novel. He knows he is Dracula, and he knows he was one of the greatest vampires ever to live. So all hell be damned when he learns the truth.
family Cristoph Wilhelm - Father – dead
Melina Wilhelm - mother – dead.
likes Women, good wine(now that he can taste it), Long jackets, Walking in the daylight, people watching, fine living, good views, sunrise, classical music
dislikes garlic, people who know his secret, people from Kentucky(He had a bad roommate in college, whom he killed), Bad art, rap music, cats
other notes The sun will not kill him however if he stands in it he will burn far faster then other people, it also is VERY hard on his eyes so he will always be in the shadows and wearing sunglasses if he is out during the day, at night he is fine and because of this prefers to be out in the darker hours.

book title Brom Stoker's Dracula
backstory Dracula hires a lawyer, Harker, to help him with legal advice on the sale of his home so he can move to live with the masses. The lawyer is trapped in the home and almost killed by Dracula's three brides. Eventually the man escapes and vanishes.
Dracula goes tracking Harker's Fiance Mina and her friend Lucy. The story turns to a ship which appears empty of all its crew except the captain who is tied to the wheel with a crucifix shoved between his hands. A wolf, or large dog, is seen leaping free of the ship and vanishes ashore. The ships cargo was silver dust and earth from Transylvania.
Lucy receives three marriage proposals and accepts one while remaining friends with the others. Lucy begins to waste suspiciously away and her finance calls Abraham Van Helsing from Amsterdam who was his old teacher. Van Helsing tries blood transfusions but fears talking to his pupil about vampires as he will think him mad. On the same night Lucy and her mother are attacked by a wolf, presumably Dracula. The mother has a heart condition and dies. Lucy dies soon after.
Lucy turns into a vampire and Vanhelsing confides in Lucy's suitors and together they kill her by staking her through the heart, beheading her, and filling her mouth with garlic.
After this encounter Harker and Mina return from Budapest married and Harker has recovered from his imprisonment in the castle. Harker turns their attention to dealing with Dracula showing him to be the cause.
Dracula learns of their plot and in revenge he visits and bites Mina three times and at least once he feeds her his blood. By doing this he creates a bond by which he can control her. The only way to stop it is to kill Dracula. Mina switches back and forth between a trance like state and herself. During the trance time she becomes connected with Dracula mentally and through this they figure out his movements. The ability gets weaker as they get closer to the castle.
Dracula is killed just before sunset (while sleeping) in transportation to his castle. To kill him they cut his throat and stab him through the heart. Dracula turns to dust and the spell is lifted from Mina.
