Leah loved her band, The Shields. It was something she did in her free time, and she never wanted to get rid of it. Especially since she didn't sneeze when she sang. Today, her band was having a practice in Hyde Park. The weather was perfect for music; the sun had decided to grace New York with it's presence, warming the green grass and flowers below. Birds were chirping beautiful melodies to each other, passing along secret messages. A light breeze slipped through the park, dragging a few wispy clouds with it to create a pleasant shield from the sun. In short, there was an atmosphere of peace surronding the park like a large bubble. Leah planned to disrupt that. Of course, she made sure that her band was nestled far away from the picnicing families and loud toddlers, away from the babies sleeping in their strollers. Leah wasn't a complete idiot; if she wanted her band to have admirers, which she did, Leah knew she couldn't force her band onto anyone. They would just find the group annoying. No one wanted that. To finish up practice, Leah had chosen to work on their cover of "CrushCrushCrush" by Paramore. Her guitar had been brought out for this, a rare occurance. Leah was really into the song, "Rock and roll, baby don't you know? Yeah we're all alone now, I need something to sing about.
Rock and roll, baby don't you know? We're all alone now, give me something to sing about!" Leah loved singing in the park.

Clarissa had somehow managed to forget why she was at Hyde Park today. Luckily, she was in a fantastic mood, so it didn’t bother her as much as it would have. She did tease Bashful constantly, though, telling him that he was Bashful not Forgetful so why couldn’t he help her remember why she was here? In fact, Clarissa was quite sure it had been his idea in the first place! Had it not? “Wasn’t it your idea?” she asked Bashful, not worried about others hearing because it was a very empty pathway. Anybody who was at Hyde Park right now was mostly located at the center where it was a perfect spot to have picnics. She was sure that was where she would find families eating lunch and parents playing Frisbee with the kids. That didn’t really matter though because it wasn’t what she was looking for.
What are you looking for?
Bashful asked, sounding more bored than he ever had before. Clarissa rolled her eyes and began to skip down the path. “I really sort of just asked you the same question.” Bashful gave an irritated sigh, dragging a hand through his hair. Clarissa knew he usually put a lot of work into it, not that she ever saw him do so, but today it looked very much like bed-head. She reached up to ruffle his hair as he often did with hers, laughing. “Did you even try today?” He scowled at her, ducking his head. Knock it off, Clairbear. I’m not in the mood. Unfortunately, this just made her laugh more. “ Last I checked you were Bashful, not Grumpy.” He sighed and continued with his grouchy behavior as she slowed to a walk, hearing something she had not heard before. It sounded like music and there was a woman singing. The song was very familiar; in fact, Clarissa was sure she’d heard it on the radio or on one of the CD’s Bashful had made her listen to. His interest seemed piqued and he went on ahead of her. Clarissa felt like he had remembered why they were here. She hurried after him, feeling curious and excited the louder the music got. Sure enough, Bashful was bouncing excitedly, pointing at the singer. Clarissa gave him a confused look before he hissed, “ she’s Sneezy!” For a split second, Clarissa’s heart ached. The girl’s name had been Leah and they’d spoken in the chat room. That was why her and Bashful were here! They’d come to see Leah’s band play. And this was a cover of Paramore’s “Crushcrushcrush.” Clarissa settled down, getting comfortable on the grass. She leaned back on her hands, listening; they were very good. Bashful seemed much too excited to sit still. He was dancing around Clarissa, glad to be one step closer to finding Snow White. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Distractions. That's what Spence was filling his day with so far. He had completed small, trivial tasks that didn't help him much in the long run of things. He started at his small apartment that was kept unusually clean and tidy for a teenage college student. He hand-washed dishes instead of using the dishwasher, then vacuumed...twice, and scrubbed the tiled floors of the bathroom and kitchen. He was trying to busy himself before he had to leave for Hyde Park for a strange little gathering that he figured would get him somereal friends. He needed some normalcy in his life, even if it was only a small bit.
After showering to get the cleaning supplies' smell off his skin, Spence dressed rather quickly, almost forgetting to put on boxers as he grabbed for his jeans. After properly dressed, Spence moussed up his hair giving it a sort of windblown look. He checked himself once more before leaving the one bedroom apartment.
The walk to the park wasn't so bad. Normal New York City Saltiness. With the ever bustling sidewalks brimming over with passersby and the shriek of cars slamming on their brakes. Gotta love the city.
Stepping onto the grass and making his way the spot that Leah(from the chatroom) and her band were supposed to, Spence felt a small hint of nervousness as a few random butterflies fluttered around in his stomach. He had all rights to be nervous. He was new to New York City and meeting random people on the internet, but getting invited to someone's band practice was a bit, well... interesting. Spence approached a girl settled on the grass and plopped down next to her with a friendly smile, "Spencer." He stated not turning to look at the girl that he thought he remembered from the chatroom, but wasn't sure. He listened to Leah sing. "She's actually really good." He stated with an approving nod, and speaking to the open air.

A picnic, a sunny day and a rocking concert! What could make this day more perfect? Petal cheered for Leah as she sang on on Petal’s favorite Paramore songs! Leah was an amazing singer! Petal couldn’t carry a tune to save her life but it really didn’t bug her. Everyone had their own talents. Hers was dancing and Leah’s was obviously singing.
Petal walked with the beat towards the music. She had a pinic basket in one hand and a blanket in the other. Spotting two people sitting down she headed towards them. When the song ended she cheered, “Woooo! You rock!”
She used the oppurtunity to introduce her self to the people on the ground. She looked down and began, “Hi, I’m Pe—Clarissa!” She squeaked. “It’s been forever!” She still felt that sort of sisterly feeling towards Clarissa like she had the first time she met her. It was a strong but nice feeling.
Then she recognized the boy. “Oh, hi Spencer! Nice seeing you around here.” She said in a less excited tone. Her smile faltered a little bit. She wasn’t sure why but she also felt connected to him. He also kind of freaked her out. Although all straight guys her age did. She really couldn’t figure it out. She looked towards the band and fixed her smile.
“So I have a blanket and some food I’m willing to share!” Petal offered. The grass was nice to sit on until you had to grind the green stains out of your pants.
