Hotdogs were vile, disgusting, nasty things. They were made from leftover parts of poor little animals, and not to mention--New York health code allowed a certain amount of bug pieces to be in the hotdogs. Of course, the bugs were an accident. But it was still okay. IT WAS STILL OKAY. NO, NO ITS NOT. IT WAS NOT OKAY. And Ainsley was going to make her point today, even if she got kicked out of Central Park. Again.
She was doing everything she could think of. 'Accidentally' dropping juice, or coke into the hotdog boilers. 'Accidentally' kicking the lock on the carts to make them roll away and crash. Or simply telling everyone that was eating a hotdog, what exactly was in them. The hotdog industry was going down. But for now, she was taking a break. Slowly chewing on a sandwich she brought from home. Peanut butter and jelly, with bananas and pickles. The sweet, mushy, tangy taste was perfect, though most people didn't agree. At least, until they found out that tarty, tangy taste was caused by the pickles. But oh, oh, so delicious.
When she finished, she stood up and crumpled the little plastic ziploc bag in her hands, and waltzed over to the trashcan and dumped it in. She took notice that they didn't have recyling bins--also not cool. Maybe she could petition for them to get those neat little sorting trash can bins she had seen before. Fishing her iPod out of her pocket, she plugged the headphones into her ears, and switched it on. To the sounds of Ke$ha, she was dancing through the park, quite happy. Ignoring the crazy looks she got, she paused in her dancing for a moment, and placed her hands on her hips. Mostly to catch her breath, but mostly to take in the scene. The park was gorgeous at the time in summer. They were close to going back into fall, so it wasn't quite as hot. Not a cloud in the sky, the birds were singing, and there was laughter in the air. The little ponds scattered throughout the park glistened with the sunshine, and it all felt good. She couldn't even see the tall, intrusive buildings from under all the trees. She crossed her arms over her stomach, and just smiled, watching the pond with the little ducks swimming by.
