Really, Scott supposed that the best word to describe his current emotional state was a slump. That's exactly what it felt like. He was slumped over as far as inspiration went, and he was slumped over with the stress and worrying about deadlines, and slumped to pieces about whether or not he was even as good of a sculptor as he'd previously imagined. Honestly, what he needed was a good drink, and he knew just the guy to have it with.
He had sent the text to Dan earlier that morning, telling him that he was in the mood for a good night out drinking his stress away, and that Mr. Dantastic really had to bring that new little drinking buddy he had managed to scrounge up so that Scott could judge his worth. Honestly, he knew that schoolwork was important and shit, but that was no excuse for Scott to have gone so long without knowing who this perfect specimen of a drinking college student Dan had met was.
Scott could think of no better place to get good and drunk than Adrian's bar. Honestly, so long as Scott got a discount (and he was sure he would find a way to wheedle a discount out of his roommate. That's what Scott's special talent was. How else would he have gotten a case of Blue Moon beer than by sidling up to Sadie and getting her to pull some strings with Daddy?) Scott couldn't think of a reason to go to a more expensive bar just to get wasted.
Ordering what he hoped to be the first of many beers for that evening, Scott waited at the bar for his drinking buddies to show up. He was ready to get this super fantastic, super drunktastic evening rolling so he could let his hair down and forget all about everything that was stressing him out. A good, relaxing, alcohol-induced evening among friends was really all that Scott could ask for.
