personality
Quiet: Although she's a stripper, Kayden is really not at all the boisterous type. She keeps to herself most of the time, and doesn't talk much unless she knows you. Or if you drag a conversation out of her. Or if she feels comfortable around you. Even when she talks, it's hard to get her to raise her voice to a very high level. Unless you piss her off or frighten her into it. She's really very sweet and never speaks ill of anyone, even the people she doesn't like.
Loyal: Kayden will never EVER betray confidences, and those she cares about, she's fiercely loyal to them. She'd blow up all of them freaking mountains, fill all of those valleys with the rubble, dam up all the rivers, and make the world a giant plateau to get to them if it came to that. If you hurt those you care about, you hurt her, and she doesn't tolerate it. Well, she likes to think she won't, but she's got too sweet of a personality to actually hurt anyone else.
Self Masochist: Especially when it comes to her feelings. She would rather hurt herself(physically or emotionally) than do harm to anyone else. She's constantly apologizing when things go wrong, even if they aren't her fault. Or if you've told her not to apologize, she will anyways. It's just how Kayden's programmed- Something goes wrong, you blame yourself in some way and apologize, plain and simple.
past Kayden was born and raised in London, England by her parents. When she was four, her little brother Liam came along. She didn’t like him very much then- he was loud and always pulled her hair. In order to keep her out of their hair while they tried to do their jobs and Take care of Liam at the same time, their parents enrolled her in piano lessons, singing lessons, dance lessons, horse back riding lessons, and just about every kind of lessons a person could imagine. Kayden loved it. She got to do all kind of fun things and she didn’t have to be bored at home while mom took care of Liam.
The lessons continued for a long time after that because Kay just didn’t want to stop. She loved them all, especially her dance classes- she was learning Ballet, Ballroom, hip hop, and just about every kind of dance there was, and she was good at them too. For a twelve year old, she was a fantastic dancer. She was also recognized by her music teachers as an accomplished musician. Life was pretty much fantastic at that point.
Two years later, her father was given a business proposal- ownership of a bank branch in New York. Much to Kayden’s dismay, he accepted. The family moved to the United States three months later.
It wasn’t that she didn’t like New York- it was a nice place, and she was still able to take dance classes and all, it just wasn’t the same. She missed London. Still, Kay slowly adjusted, and now, save for the British accent, she fit in well among the people in New York. Well, at least she didn’t stand out so much anymore- she was quiet, and mostly went unnoticed, just the way she liked.
Of course, she stayed that way through high school, and into college. It seemed to get worse when her parents and her brother moved back to London, and she just sort of changed completely. She started out working in a diner, then started at school. She sold the house and moved to an apartment, still worked at the diner, and started to experiment with paying dance jobs. Those are few and far between, so she came upon one that worked, and she took it. She didn't work as a stripper very often, but when she did, she sure did a good job. Okay, so it wasn't the typical 'all-american girl' job, but hey. Kay's British.
present Kayden is now looking for a full time stripper job, since, well, the diner just isn't exactly an ideal job to support oneself on. It was a good job and all, just, being a stripper was easier for Kayden. The British accent somehow always had helped her land jobs for some reason, though really, her accent had nothing to do with her ability to dance. Not that she was complaining- as long as she got the jobs.
Kayden lives alone in a small apartment, and she still does some music composing and piano playing here and there, though she would never, ever play in front of anyone. Ever.

book title The Steadfast Tin Soldier
backstory Every night the toys come alive. Every night the ballerina would dance. But that night, the boy who owned the toys had gotten a new set of tin soldiers. They were perfect, except for the one with the missing leg. That soldier spots the ballerina before she started to move, to dance, and she stands perched on one leg. He falls in love. The Jack in the Box has decided that the Ballerina will be his however, and he grabs the tin soldier. The Ballerina tries to defend him, but is covered with a glass by the Jack in the Box, and is forced to watch as the two fight, ultimately knocking the tin soldier out the window.
The Ballerina is shocked and terrified for him, and she does not dance that night, but rather cries and continues to refuse the Jack in the Box. Then, somehow(from the fishey (: ) the Soldier is back, and he comes to defend the Ballerina again. They fight again, and the Jack in the Box is pushed into the fire, and the tin soldier and the Ballerina are together at last.
(Note, I used the Fantasia version of this story because it had a happy ending.)
