personality
Huntsley is the epitome of the Southern Gentleman with a coy smile and a short fused temper. He is avidly loyal and will not back down to defend a friend. He believes that he is better equipped to handle a throw down than his friends, because he knows that he can handle himself. He is Stubborn and Impulsive, but acts in ways that will help positively since he has such a Big Heart. He is easily manipulated if the person knows how to push him to get their way. A simply smile and a pleading please should do the trick.
Huntsley was raised to treat everyone like he would be treated, so he doesn’t go around judging individuals simply on their appearance. Instead, he likes to get to know a person for himself before he can pin them as friend material. He obviously doesn’t go looking for enemies or fights, but trouble seems to follow him like the plague. Any misfortune that he or his loved ones experience can usually be singled out to Huntsley’s bad luck. Rumor has it that as a kid Huntsley smashed a mirror while walking under a ladder as a black cat crossed his path. But, you is really that superstitious… besides Huntsley.
Huntsley has a knack for make rash decisions on the pretenses that something seems ‘Too darn excitin’ ta pass up.’ He can be viewed as dim witted simply because of his accent and his hometown, but honestly his quite intelligent and his smarts have caught many people off guard. Being from the south has done something to him that most people never experience. Huntsley has official been culture shocked. I say this is part of his personality because his personality seems to be intensified.
He feels a stronger connection to friends that he has made here, even though they are few. He often comes off as a bit clingy and overprotective of them, but really he can’t control how dangerous the world really can be to the people he loves. Also, his temper seems to have gotten longer fuse… Thank the Almighty, Most Heavenly Lord Above… I mean, the fuse is still short, but it takes far more poking and prodding to get him agitated to the point of wanting to beat a bastard’s ass. One bad thing that has seemed to gotten worse is Huntsley luck. I mean, seriously have you ever met a guy that steps in the ONLY puddle in New York and while trying to remedy the situation gets splashed by a car that hit the same puddle. In the same day, he gets a stain on his suit only minutes before an interview because the companies’ pen busted. Life in New York City has made is bad luck quite possibly the WORST luck any human can have.
past
“Jim?! Jim! Get this kid oooout of meee!” *the shrieking of a woman can be heard echoing through the almost empty paternity ward of the hospital*
“Honey. Breath. Inhale. Exhale Hee. Who. Hee Hee. Who Who.” *a reassuring, yet shaky voice of a male responds*
*One last push and the screams of a newborn can be heard echoing, as the nurses slap excitedly, the mother sighs in relief, and the noticeable thud of flesh hitting the ground as the father faints.*
*Thirty seconds later: The father awakens*
“Jim? Look at him. He has your smile.”
“And your brilliant blue eyes.”
“We’ll name ‘em… Huntsley.”
*A loving embrace of the new family is shared before Hunstley is hauled off*
Hunstley Apollo Thames was born into a rather older couple, who never seemed to find the time for a child until that moment he was conceived. They took all necessary precautions to make his life perfect before he was even brought into the world. They started a fund that would up on his twenty-first birthday, added onto their rather large farm home that housed his mother’s family as well. They lived comfortably and Huntsley was raised with the more love and care than any child could wish for in a lifetime. He started help around the farm after he turned six and learned how to properly tend to the livestock, plants, and even cooking, cleaning, and sewing. He’d attend school from 8 am until 2pm, then come home and work with his father in the farm from 3pm until supper time. Then, he’d finish his homework, study, shower, and help his mother. He enjoyed being a kid strictly on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons, and Sunday during his youth group. Life was simple and easy as long as he stuck to the routine, which he never broke out of because, well, it was just easier to follow it. Routine broke when his mother got pregnant with his baby sister, who was a good ten years behind him.
“Jim?! Jim! She is perfect. Look… Simply gorgeous.” *the loving coo of an exhausted mother can be heard in the delivery room*
“She resembles you so much, my love..” *the father’s voice so sure and full of admiration*
*A boy about the age of thirteen is brought in and he analyzes his baby sister*
“She looks like… an… alien. Mom… Were you probed?” *the voice stifles a laugh as the father swats him, but smiles with the boy*
*Life for the Thames has only gotten better*
With the newest addition to the family, life didn’t really alter much besides his father receiving a bigger check and a bigger heart. A year a few months passed and it happened. The most unexpected thing… Mary Ann got pregnant with another little boy. That was by far the scariest moment because Mary Ann was deemed sterile. They feared deformities, birth defects, missing chromosomes, and any possibility in the mix. Huntsley became the stable rock in the family for a long while. He missed far too many days of school that he eventually had to drop out. His mother got fired from her teaching position for missing too many days as well. He would wait out the year and retake the eighth grade and hopefully be able to advance into the tenth grade by taking the advanced placement test. He had his future planned out, but his family was still in tatters at the idea of an imperfect child. The fateful day came. Timothy Lee was born a healthy fully functioning baby aside from the mix matched eyes. One a dazzling emerald and the other a deep ocean blue. Life was a bit harder with a fifth mouth to feed, but with the accumulated funds from both families, life became stable again.
Huntsley went back to school to finish the eighth grade, took the advanced placement test, passed, and ended up in his sophomore year in high… like normal. Normalcy had returned and life was good. Huntsley was flying through the last two years of high school and his body was becoming solid and defined from the heavy lifting and farm work. He was the perfect specimen of a male counterpart and even had a list of girls that would gladly throw themselves in his bed, but there was a darkness that plagued his mind. He knew he wanted a wife and kids, but also he felt a deeper attraction to his fellow classmates that he saw naked in the shower and ones that trusted him with their darkest secrets. He wanted to be physical with a guy and the craving was so overwhelming that he almost lost his bearing on reality. He fantasized during the early hours of the mornings, and as he laid panting, sweating naked son his bed he’d pray that God take the plague from his mind. He only wanted to be happy, but with a real family. After he showered and washed away the unclean from him, he’d plaster a smile on his face and endure the day.
On his graduation night during a party, he drank one too many shots and ended up stumbling into the bed of his best friend’s truck. As he laid there watching the stars and feeling the numbness envelope, he began to weep heavily. He knew that his life would never be normal and to reassure him of that, a guy approached the truck with deep resolve and lust hidden behind a pair of glassy deep brown eyes. The male crawled into the truck and pressed his body on Huntsley’s without a warning, but Huntsley didn’t fight back. What was the point? He might as well enjoy this drunken moment of lust. He did just that, but instead he let it completely take him over as the pair ended up in the cab of the truck with only their boxers blocking their true excitement. That night Huntsley lost something that he could never get back, but he gained a new knowledge in life. He’d leave Texas behind and he’d take the scholarship to Barrie University in New York City. He’d run away from his problems and enjoy life in the Big Apple.
present
It’s been four long, yet exciting years that Huntsley would never give up or take back. He no longer lives with the guilt that lingers in Texas, because no one here knows that he lives a lie. He is open about his sexuality. He enjoys the company of both male and female, and people accept him. It is no longer a plague, but it has empowered Huntsley to live life to the fullest. He is in his final year of college and plans to stay in New York City to pursue his dream in advertising.
One detail that got lost in the growing excitement is the fact that something deep inside of Huntsley has slowly started stirring. He calls it culture shock, but it is The Huntsman’s personality growing inside of Huntsley. Every intense emotion he feels is doubled because of the man that still lies dormant in the boy’s body. This Huntsman will awaken soon and that will truly shock Huntsley to is very core. He’ll possibly lose himself to the dominant spirit, or he’ll fight for control instead of fleeing like he did before.

Animals|From the wee little field mouse to the large blue whale and everything inbetween. The one animal that makes his skin crawl is the wolf. He had a traumatic experience with one.
New York City|He had many other colleges that offered him scholarships, but New York City was different and he loves to experience new and exciting things. He has been here for four years and just can’t get enough.
Texas|Nothing. No Where. No How. Is better than home. No matter where in the world Huntsley visits, Texas will always be his home. He visits his family on almost every holiday excluding the minor ones and Halloween.
Fall|Yes, fall is his favorite season. The vibrant hues of yellows, oranges, and reds just excite Huntsley to his core. He spends countless hours in Central Park during fall.
Strawberries|He simply couldn’t survive without them and when they are out of season, he’ll eat anything that has strawberries in them. You can find strawberry ice cream in his freezer no matter the day, month, season, or what have you.
dislikes
Slobs|Huntsley is no germ-a-phob, but he doesn’t like things completely trashed and messy. If you can’t pick up your own trash, then you should just… go jump off a bridge or something.
Cow Pies|Honestly, who actually likes cow pies. God made cow pies just to tweek Huntsley’s nerves. Luckily, New York City is devoid of all cows and their ‘pies.’
Stereotypers|He can’t stand people with closed and single minds. As if all they are good for is judging other because of things that they have heard ‘through the greapvine.’
Debbie Downers|Seriously smile for once in your life… Be happy.
Valentines Day|Seriously, no one cares… get a life.
