ONCE I RAN TO YOU
- - - - - - - - - - now i'll run from you
this tainted love you've given
i've give you all i boy could give youThis was how Zeke imagined the rest of his life would go. He would frequently take his boat out on the water in the evening, just to breathe the night air mixed with the sea breeze. There would be a nice dinner laid out for him, made up of some fancy foods he had grown accustomed to since he could eat eat them. But that wasn't all of it. Material things really meant nothing unless you had someone to share it with, in his opinion. And at the moment, he was hoping beyong hope that that person was Regan Black.
Zeke never really felt this way before. He had been in relationships, yes, but they weren't exactly this... serious. To him, at least. It was an odd feeling. He felt as though they belonged together, and that was only weird because it wasn't necessarily together together, just... in the same place. Somewhere. He wasn't sure if it was love or not, but right then he sort of though it was.
Of course, there were a few times when he hadn't felt that, like when he had screwed up that one time. He hardly remembered what he had did, but she had blown up and it was a horrible fight. But somehow, she has stayed with him, and he had been very careful ever since. Careful to make sure she was happy, always, even if it meant doing whatever she wanted.
This wasn't the time to think about that though, as he pulled out her chair like the gentleman he was. After she took her seat, he walked to the other side of the table to sit down. The dinner was laid out in front of them and smelled delicious. The server uttered an attempt at "Enjoy,", staring at Regan and obbviously entranced by her as Zeke was.
If only this were his boat. To be honest, it belonged to his parents' old friends, who he had been pretty nice to him throughout the years and let him borrow it. Not that he would tell Regan that, of course. She might flip if she found out his family didn't own one, whough he wasn't sure. It was best not to bring it up.
"It's beautiful out tonight, don't you think?" he asked, attempting to create some form of conversation.
