It was hard to figure out what part of the Aquarium was Cordy's favorite part. Petting the sting rays, the pussy cats of the sea, was always fun, but she really did hate hearing about how one of them murdered Steve Erwin EVERY time she went in there. The tropical fish were beautiful, with their bright colors contrasting against the beautiful teal water. But, probably, her top place was the natural environment. There all the creatures lived together, harmonious. Also, the fact that all of the walls and ceiling were made of glass, it felt like you were under the water with them. You even had the ghostly cast of blue falling down over you, like an ethereal blanket of peace and awesome. Cordy had been in New York for two weeks, and had so far found it amazing. Coney Island, the Beach, the mall. True probably should be out, expanding her interests a bit. The museums, the library, other things. But, she was just getting her roots in. She'd start branching off soon. Examining every fish, the freckled ginger looked around, blue eyes scanning every fish. They were lovely, they really were. The way their fins were so translucent, and how their scales glistened. She had always had a love for aquariums. Her gray capri's hugged her knees, but were otherwise baggy, and her shoes were cohesive with it. Being a child at heart, she had little qualms with wearing a Spongebob tank top. The purple seemed to contrast nicely with her orange red hair and freckles, and her blue green eyes were highlighted by the surrounding colors. The sweatshirt she had was wrapped around her waist, as the room was currently a nice seventy five degrees. But she would need it when she went to the penguin exhibit, and Cordelia had made the mistake of wearing a tank shirt in their before. Fingers tracing the straps of her bag, which hung on her back, Cordelia walks listlessly down the hall, eyes watching the school of angel fish swim over head. The sun over peered through the water, shadowing over her slender face, which smiled. It was all almost connected. Humming lightly to herself, Cordy starting walking backwards, so as to continue watching the angel fish. They scattered, as a naughty dragon fish broke them up, chasing a few of them around. The smile that grew on her amused face vanished for a moment, as she felt her backwards moving body bump into another, more stationary, body. Crud. "Oh! Jeez, I'm sorry!" She said, stepping forward and turning around, glad she was moving at such a slow pace, so not too much damage could be done. "Walking backwards, not such a good idea. Who'da thunk it, right?" She spoke sheepishly, pushing a lock of hair behind her ears gently. Cordy's outfit.

It was hard to figure out what part of the Aquarium was Leti's least favorite part.
Maybe it was the little kids squealing. Perhaps it was how every time you turned your head, there was a fish staring at you. Maybe it was how the designers had made it so obscenely beautiful that it could never be realistic.
What she was even doing here, she wasn't sure. The boredom of the Baum campus made her decide to get out a bit, but this was weird. She hadn't been to an aquarium since she was a fifth grader.
Little shoals of fish swam over her head. Leti rolled her eyes. Wasn't that a big flaw in the design of this place? One crack and the entire aquarium would flow out and drown everyone. She walked forward and a beam of sun shone on her face, temporarily blinding her. ¿Qué demonios? This place was fuckin' retarded. The ocean was dark and dangerous, not bright and fun. Where were the sharks? Where were the huge man-eating octopi? Where were the creepy eels and evil jellyfish? THAT, my friends, is the ocean.
Leti sneered at the brightly colored fish flitting around. Suddenly, she got a face full of red hair.
"Oh! Jeez, I'm sorry! Walking backwards, not such a good idea. Who'da thunk it, right?"
Scoffing, Leti pushed up the sleeves of her jacket, so they bunched around her elbows and folded her arms over her chest.
"Oh, I donno. Normal people?"
Her eyes trailed over the other girl. Some bubbly, white-ass, cheerful bitch from the looks of it.
And that hair. God, she fuckin' hated red hair.

(btw, Leti's got an accent. For reference, see this video She's the..Latina one.. haha)

Well... someone had taken her bitch pills this morning, hadn't she. Though, Cordy had bumped into her. And if Cordy was wearing those heels, she certainly wouldn't want people running into her. "Oh... well, yeah. But who wants to be normal, right?" Cordy said, a little sheepish in the face, running her fingers through her pale red hair.
Cordelia gave the girl a once over: pretty, though her face suggested she wasn't pleased with her surroundings. Leather cloths, oh- Cordy did hope that the salt in the air didn't crack. Obviously she was Latina. Thanks to the Cuban population in Key West, Cordelia knew a bit of Spanish. Though, her vocabulary was limited to curse words and pleasantries. It hardly seemed worth it to speak up on this skill, as her accent wasn't the greatest, and this girl already seemed to be in a mood.
"But, yeah, I'm sorry. I'll watch where I'm going." Cordelia spoke stiffly, not out of fear, but of the awkwardness of the situation. She rather wished the girl had said no problem, so that Cordelia could have expressed her apologies by buying her a whale sized milkshake and complimenting her on her outfit ordination. Quite frankly, it as far better than what Cordy herself put together, and standing before the gumpy gilled girl, she felt utterly under dressed. Instead of doing this, she traced the straps of her back pack, wondering who would walk away first.
A shadow casted above the girls, as a school of fish went over past them. Yellow ones. It made the sun above blink down at her, as she looked up at it, a small smile crossing her lips. It was so serene, in the aquarium. She wondered at how the girl in front of her was able to be so disgruntled in this sort of majesty.
Looking down, Cordelia decided to start a new. Junting her hand forward, she attempted the face of friendliness. "I'm Cordelia. Um, are you alright? You seem... displeased. I mean, more displeased than air headed ginger ramming you in the hallway sort of displeased." Cordy looked around, wondering if she could pinpoint the exact issue.
Who knew?
Maybe they could be friends.

"Oh... well, yeah. But who wants to be normal, right?"
Leti bit back on a snotty comment. This was a very innocent girl. Weak. But she had a certain something that she couldn't put her finger on.
The redhead looked over her outfit and Leti smiled smugly. She sure as hell knew how to dress. Just because she had grown up with only brothers didn't mean she had to look like one.
"But, yeah, I'm sorry. I'll watch where I'm going."
The girl sounded cautious. Good. Be afraid, chica blanca. But as the girl turned her face up, closing her eyes a bit, smiling at the sun and the water, Leti saw some beauty in her. Jealousy stabbed her, wishing to have that kind, innocent beauty as well.
Suddenly, she thrust her hand forward.
"I'm Cordelia. Um, are you alright? You seem... displeased. I mean, more displeased than air headed ginger ramming you in the hallway sort of displeased."
Leti stared at her for a moment, then her lips twisted up into a little smile. Perhaps this might be useful to her. She shook Cordelia's hand.
"The name's Leti. Sorry, I guess I overreacted. It's my first time in New York, and now I have to live here and adjust, all on my own. It's stressful, ya know?"
Keeping friends close and enemies closer was a very familiar concept to Leti, but as of right now, she wasn't sure what Cordelia was.
