personality
Foster is a generally good natured person. He likes to laugh and to make other people laugh. It’s not often that Foster get’s upset; more likely he’ll get frustrated and then try to shrug it off as a joke. Most of the time you’ll see Foster (or Dal as he’s also called, mostly by O’Brian) either relaxed and cheerful or with a sneaky grin on his face. If it’s the latter you may want to think twice about opening the box sitting right there...
Foster is a very loyal friend. O’Brian is like a brother to him and Foster would do anything for him. To Foster loyalty has to be earned over time, he doesn’t make friends too easily but once you have him as a friend you’re stuck with him. Dal will stick with you through thick and thin but won’t usually have the blame on himself; if he’s made a mistake he’ll usually find some way to make it your fault. But he’ll fix it, his way of course, but he’ll fix it.
Dal is a prankster and troublemaker at heart. He likes to cause a scene (as long as it doesn’t affect him) and watch his masterpiece at work. Sometimes he can get a little out of hand; if a prank goes askew and out of control all the better for him. It’s usually O’Brian that reels in Foster’s reckless tendencies and makes him solve the problem. Foster loves a laugh even if it may be at the expense of others.
past
Foster Dallas Robins was born in Forest Grove, Oregon on October 30th, 1992. His parents adored him and he had a very happy childhood. He soon became best friends with the boy next door, __ O’Brian, and they spent most of their days together. Dal and O’Brian were inseparable. They practically lived at each other’s houses and spent all the time they could together. It wasn’t long before Dal attained a reputation as a prankster along with his partner in crime O’Brian. But reputation didn’t bother him; if anything it made him want to prank even more.
Life was good up until Foster was 12 years old. His mother had been battling with cancer for about a year when she finally succumbed. It was a hard time for Dal and his father. In the next few months his father drank more and more falling into an oblivion before he finally killed himself. Foster struggled to come to terms with the two deaths so close together but O’Brian was there for him; his family took Foster in and they spent the next 6 years like brothers.
High School was great, lots of new people to prank. It wasn’t long before Dal’s reputation was set in stone and the dangerous duo quickly took advantage of their new surroundings. There were a few incidences where Foster went too far in the prank; one time he let the joke go on too long and a girl got hurt. It wasn’t too serious but it sunk in to the two of them that people could get hurt if they weren’t careful. Well, it sunk it to O’Brian; Dal just liked the fun of it.
Foster did pretty well academically. It wasn’t his main interest but he made sure to keep his grades up to please the O’Brian’s. English was his favourite subject, especially when they read classical literature like Shakespeare or Jane Austen.
Senior year rolled around and Foster realized he needed to decide what to do with his life. There wasn’t really any particular field that interested him and so Dal figured that he’d probably just get a job somewhere around town. But then O’Brian decided that he was going to attend J. Barrie University in New York. The idea of being alone and so far from his best friend for so long made him decide that he’d go as well.
present
Foster came to New York with his friend at the end of the summer to attend J. Barrie University. At first Foster wasn’t sure about the university or New York for that matter, but it started to grow on him. He loves to spend time in Central Park, just studying or maybe taking a walk. J. Barrie University isn’t what Dal thought it was going to be; he’s rather enjoying his studies, Leisure Sciences interests him and he’s fairly good at it. Not to mention the huge library full of classic novels for him to explore.
Although he tries to keep in touch with the O’Brian’s it seems to always slip his mind. Every now and then Foster will send them an email or give them a call but it’s not really a priority in his mind. He likes to write letters to his parents, his real parents, sometimes. It makes him feel better if he’s had a rough day or been really stressed. Overall Foster likes New York, even if it is really different from Forest Grove.
family
Foster is an only child. His Father, Louis Robins was a carpenter and ran a tool shop in town. He was 40 years old when he died. Foster’s mother, Marie Robins, was a stay at home mom. She was 38 when she passed. Her twin brother (Dallas, whom Foster got his middle name and nickname from) passed away when Foster was an infant. He doesn’t have any living blood relations but the O’Brian’s are family to him.

other notes So I used O’Brian a fair amount in his history. The reason I did this is because Puck is the fairy kings assistant/friend thing. Also if someone takes that character the name can be changed, I just picked O’Brian because it sounded like Oberon which is the Fairy Kings name :P

book title A Midsummer Night’s Dream
backstory
Robin Goodfellow, or Puck as he is often referred to as, serves the Fairy King Oberon.
Puck is sent by Oberon to find a flower so that the king may apply its juice to Titania’s eyes as a trick (they are quarrelling over a little Indian boy). Puck fetches the flower and Oberon orders him to use some of the juice on Demetrius so settle the lover’s quarrel. Puck tries to do so but mistakes Lysander for Demitrius (Oberon described him as the one in Athenian clothing, not very descriptive). This causes fights and sadness with the lovers.
In the meantime Puck happens across the Mechanicals preparing their play for Theses wedding and changes Nick Bottoms head into that of a donkey just for fun. As it happens Titania wakes up and Bottom (with donkey head) is the first person she sees and she falls madly in love with him. Puck and Oberon find this quite humorous.
Once Oberon realizes that Puck messed up with the lovers he sends him off to sort that out and he takes the love spell off of Titania.
So Puck is basically the character that moves the play forward. Without him there would be no mix ups and no comedy to the story. He makes the chaos which makes the play funny then sorts ot out in the end.

rp sample They had finally reached the shop and Cecilia led them around the back and into their home. They weren't supposed to walk through the Shoppe, it was one of her father’s silly rules, but Cecilia didn't mind, she kept the home clean enough. Their small brick home may not seem like much to most people but it meant everything to Cecilia; it was where she grew up, and it is her home. There wasn’t any fancy furniture of draperies but that didn’t bother her. They walked past the small fireplace and into the kitchen.
The kitchen was filled with the familiar smell of baking bread. As they walked in Cecilia shook her head at the floor. Somehow, whenever Balin baked he always managed to coat the floor in flour. She gave a little laugh, there wasn’t really that much on the ground, she would clean it up later. Cecilia led the way to a hook by the door where they kept some aprons. She grabbed two down, one for her and one for Felicity. After handing Fee hers she noticed that the one she was holding had a tear in it. “If aprons need mending someone needs to tell me, I’m not a mind reader.” Cecilia thought in exasperation. She grabbed another and looked to see who was here.
She had guessed right, her father, along with Rodger, had already left to make the delivery. But Balin was in the kitchen. She assumed Caleb would be in the storefront.
"Hello Balin, look who's come for a visit." she gestured to Felicity and her son as she walked over to grab a sweet from the batch they had made that morning. "Here ya go." she said, giving it to the little tyke.
