[/b]Gerdy mused out loud in response to the remix of Land Down Under playing in her ears. Following her musings, she puckered her pierced mouth to whistle the instrumental line, before swinging her arms up towards her shoulders, shaking her hips with the suddenly fast-paced beat of the remix. She stopped right in the middle of the sidewalk, and brushed her shoulders off, before continuing to dance, her streaked hair bouncing off her shoulders and back. Unfortunately for the people of New York, she had the song looped, so she continued to dance her way down Broadway. A few people held up their phones to record the strange looking girl that was dancing as though she were the only one on the street.“I kinda want a didgeridoo.”
Until she saw him, at least. It stopped her right in her tracks, and even made her pull out the white headphones from her gauged ears. Dark hair, a strong brow. Skin that was soft, but had a caramel tone to it. It felt like her world shook around her—even though she didn’t see his face too well from the distance, she didn’t need to. He was one of the people from her dreams, one with the blurred out face. He was up above on an overpass, looking as though he were contemplating something. Her brows eyes narrowed, and she pulled her iPod out of her pocket, and turned it off. Wrapping her headphones around the blue metal, she tucked it deep into the back pocket of her pink shorts and walked past the overpass and into the alley nearby. With far too much ease, she jumped upwards almost obscenely high, until she landed quietly just behind him. Her footsteps didn’t make a single sound, because they weren’t on the ground. She was hovering just a little bit off the ground, holding her breath. She could see the shape in the back of his pants of his wallet, with the edge just sticking out.
Without a moment to waste, she lunched forward, grabbed the wallet from his back pocket and held it between her teeth before rushing past him. Her converse hit the ledge, before her legs swung over the overpass and she vaulted off the overhand with his wallet in her mouth. She glanced over her shoulder just in time to catch his eye, and flash a grin around the wallet between her teeth. Right back where she begun, she took off beneath the overpass, and for the large parking garage nearby. Gerdy didn’t stumble once, and that would be because she added something a little extra to each step she took. She was busy glancing over her shoulder, and didn’t see the car rushing towards her until the horn blared. Without a pause, she jumped again, and ran across the hook, and up the windshield. Using the roof, she jumped towards the side-rail of the garage, before hopping upwards towards the second level. She was breathing heavily around the leather in her mouth, her heart pounding in her chest.
Either he was going to obviously follow, or she was going to walk away with his name and a bit of cash for her efforts. As long as he had cash in there at least. But checking was going to have to wait, because she had to jump towards the third level, and over the railing again. Her converse hit the ground while her skinny legs hauled her up towards the rooftop. When she felt the sunlight on her face, she stopped, and went to walking towards the edge where she took a seat. She rocked her head back, trying to cool the sweat on her forehead. Honestly, it would have been easier to just…fly to the roof. But where was the fun in that? Either way, scraping her shoes on the asphalt, she pulled her knees up and plucked the wallet out of her mouth, and wiped the drool off on her shirt before pulling it open. “Chandler…” The ID said. She tilted her head, trying to recognize the picture. It was like trying to grab at a far away memory. Difficult, but most definitely there. Folding the wallet and clutching it in her fist, she waited for him to catch up. If he even would.
