hair color Blonde that reaches past her shoulders down the middle of her back. Naturally brown, she bleaches it to a natural looking blonde, but sometimes her roots show a bit. She usually keeps a colored streak--pink--so people can tell the difference between her and Alara.
eye color A very light, almost husky sort of blue. She frames her eyes with a dark liner to make them stand out a bit more.
build Slender. She's not the most curvy girl around; doesn't have much in the way of chest, hips, or waist. She has a naturally slim build which she maintains with a regular morning jog.

clothing style Compared to Alara--Alana's style of dress is quite the shakeup. She prefers torn clothes, low cut tops, and corsets. She has more of a glamour punk-rock look, and most of her clothes she destroys designs herself.

Rude. She is the spirit of New York, to the best degree. "Welcome to fuckin New York!" She doesn't apologize when she bumps into people on the street, she jay-walks and doesn't care how long it takes her to get to the other side of the road. She snubs the homeless, gives old Grannies a reason to look away, and gives not a single crap to most of the school staff. This often lands her in the Principal's office, and she has been suspended more times than she can count on her hands.

Mean. Alana is not the most friendly person around. She's been known to pick on the underclassmen just for the fun of it. If someone tries to be her friend and they don't fit up to her standards--she'll tell them right off the bat. Though, she's not mean spirited all the time. If someone can get under the rough shell, Alana can be quite the sweetheart.

Insensitive. This, she does by complete accident. She can be quite cynical, and because of her realist nature--she tends to shoot people down or offend them completely by accident. Sometimes Alana has moments of trying to actually make friends, but will accidentally offend them. This sometimes makes her sad, and also a bit jaded. The only person that doesn't really get offended by her offhand comments is Alara.

Intelligent. Despite the trouble she gets in, and the lack of school she has actually been in--the twins love books. It takes Alana a little bit longer to read, but she eats up books like they're chips. She is also very quick with numbers, and formulating plans. Even though she has a 'fuck everything' attitude, she is very meticulous, and will plan outings and events down to a T.

Realistic. There is no dream world for this one. She lives in the today, and now relm. Pipe dreams are just that--pipe dreams to go back down into the sewers where they belong. Sure, a few get lucky--but most people that have those big, unrealistic dreams get dashed. She doesn't hope for anything high, and can be quite insensitive to those that do have those dreams.

Loyal. However, when Alana does make a friend, she can be fiercely loyal. It is rare that she actually does make a friend outside of Alara, but when she does she considers them theirs. No one is ever allowed to pick on them or push them around. No matter the trouble it gets her into, Alana will defend them with every tooth and nail.

Originally, Mr. and Mrs. Grove were only expecting one child. A healthy baby girl that that had decided to name Alana, even before she was born. Everything seemed to be fine, healthy, peachy-keen. Only, when Mrs. Grove went into labor---they got a little bit of a surprise.

Alana was the first born, but Alara was the second. They had no idea of the twins; throughout the pregnancy, the twins' heartbeats were synchronized, and Alana had been sheilding her twin from view of the wee little camera. The proud, albeit shocked, parents welcomed the second child without a single ounce of hesitation.

From that moment on, Alana and Alara were never seperated, and despite their identical looks--they developed their own personalities rather quickly. Alana was the crier, the louder one, the one that always got into trouble, and pouted when she didn't get her way. Alara, the bossier one, more quiet, and reserved than her sister. But they were never apart.

As they grew up, people had tried lumping the twins together as one. And though the girls felt like they were one unit--they wanted to become themselves. Not what other people tried to make of them. Alana went her own way once they got to eighth grade. She had been the bully of the school, but people often confused her for Alara--so Alara was also getting in trouble. That's when Alana took a patch of Koolaid to the head, and started wearing streaks of color in her hair.

In highschool, things didn't go that much better for Alana. Her sister joined the soccer team, but she was left on her own while she watched Alara make friends. A few of the school's outcasts had tried to take her in, but even then--Alana burned bridges. The first year was tough, the second was uncomfortable, and by the third? She was starting to run the school.

Now a senior at Baum, she pretty much does run the place. Or at least most people know to stay out of her way. She's not a friendly individual, and when she does attempt to make friends--people get sick of her pretty quickly. It remians still the at Alara is one of her only friends.

Alana has taken more to skipping school as of late to sit in central park, smoke a joint, and troll the people passing by. She doesn't really seem to be bothered by too much, but she's quite grounded and doesn't live with her head in the clouds. Almost eighteen, she's not entirely sure what to do with her life.

Honestly--if it hadn't been for Alara, Alana would have dropped out by now. Even though Alara is able to hold her own, Alana doesn't trust the people she sees at school, and tends to hang around her sister to make sure no one messes with her. She's chased off a couple of Alara's friends by mistake, but her understanding sister never once fought with her over it--instead--urged her to go out and explore New York a bit more. Maybe there would be someone around that could handle her rough nature.

-Alara. For seventeen years and nine-months, Alara is all Alana has ever known. Even though they like to do their different things, they are often seen together periodically through the day. They are twin-hive, and sometime play it up just to throw people for a loop.

-Outdoors. Alana enjoys being outdoors. She feels that the buildings close in on her, so she much rather prefers the fresh air, leaves, and dirt of the outdoors. Her favorite place is a rather large flat rock in Central Park, where she often reclines and people-watches.

-Piano. Actually, keyboard more correctly. Alana was formerly trained on the Piano, but she has taken the more punk-rock funky style of the keyboard. She often plays in her dorm before bed, and when waking up. It's possibly the only time she seems subdued.

-Flowers. Find out about this, keep it secret. Or she will end your life. But Alana loves flowers. They're delicate in ways she isn't, so it's a bit of a surprise that she genuinely does love them. Often if someone questions her about the flowers in her dorm, she explains that they belong to Alara.

-Gooseberry Pie. Okay, it's a bit obscure, and hard to find--but it's an old family recipie that got passed down. If she could, she would eat these pies constantly.

-Most People. She's not very friendly at first, and you have to work VERY hard to be her friend. But, for the most part--she can't stand your average, every day person. She couldn't tell you exactly why, though. It could be because the way they looked at her, or that she didn't like the color of their shoes.

-Being a Follower. Alana is a leader, like it or not. And she doesn't take too kindly when she has to be a follower for anything. If she has no choice in the matter--she tends to kick up a fuss about it, and give the designated leader quite a hard time.

-Being away from Alara. Sometimes Alara goes out with friends, or will take trips and be gone for days at a time. It leaves Alana feel anxious, nervous, and all together uncomfortable. There may be a day when the twins go their own way, but right now--Alana doesn't like it. No way, no how.

-Being told what to do. She doesn't take orders from anyone, and bossy people ride on her nerves (except Alara). Mostly though, this comes from the older crowd that tell her 'A young lady should not dress or act that way', to which they receive the one-finger salute from the older twin.

-Abandonment. Alana has made a few friends over her time, she wasn't always completely alone. But sometimes, she shoved them out. Either excluding them for the safety of her twin-bubble, or chasing them off with her attitude--Alana always felt like she was being abandonded. She disliked this feeling so much, that she wrapped herself in the lonliness, and prefers to be on her own most of the time.

backstory Okay, basically Grumpy is a total jackass. He likes to ruin everyone else's fun, and especially gets pissy when Doc pulls out the leadership pants. Grumpy likes to burst everyone's bubble and just be a general dick. But whatever, he seems to not give a single fuck.
Despite his rather crappy attitude, he appears to have quite a kind heart beneath it all. But if you call him out on it, he'll probably try to beat you to death with a shovel. And this whole time you thought Snow White chokes on an apple. Pfffft.
