clothing style Ziggy likes a slightly obscure style. Bright yellows, pinks, and oranges. She usually will wear flowy dresses, or jeans with bright tank tops. Her moods reflect in her clothing; and the brighter the colors she wears, and the more of them--chances are she's hyper and easily exciteable that day. If she's dressed a little more tame, she's more relaxed and easy going. Grey or black clothes mean that she probably needs a hug and some ice-cream.

Rachel is upbeat, and chirpy. She a bit loud, and likes to run, instead of slowing down to enjoy the nature. She prefers to be outside, rather than cooped up inside a room. She's open and outgoing, and likes to make new friends, and doesn't seem to understand why she's disliked at times.
She has a severe problem with time management, often overloading her plate with too much to do. Sometimes it may not even be important things. It could be something as simple as wanting to paint her toenails and fingernails all a different color, then change out all the sheets and rugs in the house before going to work. Either way, she is usually running late for something because she's gone and overwhelmed herself with trivial things.
At times, Ziggy can come across as slightly snobbish. This is usually to the younger crowd, or the more "rough" crowd. However, she doesn't entirely mean it. It's not in her nature to be openly rude or mean, but she feels that a swift kick in the rear will get these ruffians to get their act together and be better people.
Ziggy gets along with a wide variety of people, however she's not one much to stand up to bullies. She's no weakling, but she'll try to avoid it if she can. She's a gentle spirit, and even talks gently when she manages to slow down for a moment. Being a bit of a spitfire, her bark is typically worse than her bite, and she's quite easy to subdue. She's got a bit of the chihuahua syndrome.

Rachel was adopted. She doesn't like to talk about it much, but she was raised by a small family. A older man, and woman, who were no longer able to have children. It seemed to be a happy family at first, Rachel never had to want for anything. After Rachel reached the age of 7, her adoptive father left the family. Parts of her memory were blocked, and it was frustrating to see around the blocks. To her, he was there one morning, and gone that night.
As a result, her mother became increasingly strict, and demanding. It seemed every little thing that Rachel did wrong would get her grounded, and restricted to the house. In order to keep herself amused, she would load up on things to do to stay distracted. Painting, drawing, watching movies, organizing all her CDs by genre and alphabetical order.
Going to Baum Academy was difficult--she was pulled out of the dorms, and had to return home at the end of every day and wasn't allowed out very often. However, once she turned eighteen, she put herself back in the dorms and fled from her mother's thumb. Habits stuck with her hard, and to keep herself entertained--she still stacks up things to do. She tries to load up on projects, volunteering, and often overwhelms herself. She's probably not the best to rely on for deadlines, because she's so easily distracted that she loses track of time and ends up dreadfully late to school functions or parties.

Currently happily away from her mother's rule, Ziggy is a freshman this year at Barrie University. Even away from her mother, Baum had rules and guidelines she had no choice but to adhere to. Now in college, she's been granted with a freedom that she's unsure how to handle completely. So she copes the best way she knows how to.
By doing a lot of random shit. She's often bustling around time, doing her best to make her deadlines for projects, work, and personal time. However she's failing miserably at it, which results in her detouring to central park and chasing around the random rabbits that hide in the bushes. She's having a bit of focus trouble, but she's not looking into that just yet. After a stint with Ritalin as a kid--she decided the toned down style was not for her. So, as where it may not be entirely productive to her life, Ziggy is enjoying the random race of life.
She just has no idea what she's doing with it yet.

book title Alice in Wonderland
backstory So basically, the first person Alice meets is the White Rabbit. Actually, that kid follows the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole, and isn't completely aware of the fact that he has more important shit to do than amuse some silly little girl. Anyway, he's basically running late because his watch is like two days slow--which sends him on this wild goose chase to get his shit done.
Of course, Alice screws everything up and makes the poor dude run even later, and out of all the Wonderland characters--he's probably the most sane out of them all. Which is a bit of a stretch. Anyway, he eventually gets to where he needs to be, which is basically working for the Queen. I mean...if you worked for her crazy ass, you wouldn't want to be late either.
