personality
The first thing you'll notice about Tate is that she's very, very outgoing. To the point where it's kind of annoying. She doesn't have much respect for personal bubbles, so she'll get up in your face. She is a little nosy, but she's trustworthy and loyal. Tate is extremely easily excited. She's friendly and eager to try new things, occasionally stating that she likes everything (which her friends will see, turns out to not be the case at all).
Tate is really creative. She likes to express herself through art, dance and music. And she has to get that bubbly energy out somehow. She is not particularly gifted in school, mostly owing to the fact that she is an outrageously horrid speller.
She's kind of egocentric. Not on purpose, but after years of her parents assuring her that they loved her, even though she wasn't a good student, they thought she was special and creative. Tate figures herself to be one of a kind (and really, who isn't?) and can sometimes be upset, if she thinks someone is copying her. She is a bit competitive, but not enough to be problematic.
past
She was born in Seattle, Washington and lived there until the age of seven when she moved down to Santa Monica with her family for her father's job in some sort of computer technology that Tate neither cares about, nor cares to learn about.
Her mother is a successful business woman. Her family is quite normal, if not a little dull.
There was no trauma, no heartache, no suffering. There were no strange, personality shaping moments. She gets along with her younger sister for the most part and has an almost alarmingly healthy relationship with her parents.
The problem with Tate, is that her family members are geniuses. Perhaps not to the world, but in Tate's eyes, she can never live up to the expectations her parents set.
When she was a little girl, Tate sat in class and tried to spell her name, which is one of the very first things you learn to do. Not once could she spell it right, and quickly became frustrated. Eventually, she took her favorite letters and wrote them on the paper. Not exactly the normal way of acquiring a nickname, but it stuck. Only her parents call her Charlotte now.
present
It's hard to believe that someone as horrid in class as Tate could get into Baum Academy. She's almost certain her mother lied on the application. However, here she is in fabulous New York with some of the most colorful and creative people in America. Despite being a little homesick, she is quite excited to be here.
Making friends will be a challenge, as Tate is a bit tough to handle at times, but hopefully she'll meet the right people. Or the wrong ones. Whichever comes first.

book title Winnie the Pooh
backstory Tigger is introduced in Chapter II of House at Pooh Corner, when he shows up on Winnie-the-Pooh's doorstep in the middle of the night, announcing himself with a big bounce. Most of the rest of that chapter is taken up with the characters' search for a food that Tigger can eat for breakfast - despite Tigger's claims to like "everything", it is quickly proven he does not like honey, acorns, thistles, or most of the contents of Kanga's pantry. In a happy coincidence, however, he discovers what Tiggers really like best is extract of malt, which Kanga has on hand because she gives it to her son, Roo, as "strengthening medicine".
From that point on, Tigger lives with Kanga and Roo in their house in the northeastern part of the Hundred Acre Wood near the Sandy Pit. He becomes great friends with Roo (to whom he becomes a sort of older sibling figure), and Kanga treats him in much the same way she does her own son. Tigger also interacts enthusiastically with all the other characters — sometimes too enthusiastically for the likes of Rabbit, who is sometimes exasperated by Tigger's constant bouncing, Eeyore, who is once bounced into the river by Tigger, and Piglet, who always seems a little nervous about the new, large, bouncy animal in the Forest. Nonetheless, the animals are all shown to be friends.
