...basics*
name Elizabeth Spencer
nickname Lizzie/Lizzy/(people just don’t know how to spell Lizzie as it were), Mary Anne (not so much a nickname as it is people confusing her with her twin), Beth
age Nineteen.
gender Female.
grade Senior at Baum Academy.
hometown Hartland, Devon in England.
sexuality Heterosexual.
personification The White Queen.
status Dormant.
face claim Natalie Portman.
...appearance*
hair color A very pretty honey brown color, much like her twin. Lizzie likes to style it differently as often as she can; it’s not an easy feat, however, as she tends to lose her comb an awful lot. To make matters worse, even if she uses her brush, it somehow manages to get hopelessly tangled in her hair more often than not.
eye color Brown. She’s got reading glasses but she hates wearing them so, even though it’ll lead to a nasty headache, she usually goes without them while reading or studying.
build Well, she likes running.
height Five feet, seven inches.
clothing style It’s really not the style of her clothes that people notice so much as the state that they are in. Lizzie goes places ALL THE TIME with her shirt inside out, mismatching socks, or accessories all over the place without realizing it. Sometimes, she’ll catch herself and correct it; just as often, somebody will have to point it out to her.
distinctive traits Lizzie is that book you judge by its cover; if people would just look passed her messy hair and disarrayed clothes, they’d realize she’s really a very sweet girl.

personality
Lizzie could be the definition of naive. Or gullible. Lizzie still believes in Santa Clause and if you tell her there's a celebrity behind her, she'll look every time. She views the world with a child-like wonder. She is constantly impressed by the simplest things and finds everyday scenery just as beautiful as the first time she'd seen it. Flower gardens are her absolute favorite; she loves the vibrant colors and delightful scents. Lizzie has her own flower garden at home, though she regrettably doesn't have much time for it.
Lizzie is the epitome of friendly. She's kind to every single person she meets. It isn't just that, though. She'll give spare change to any homeless person she passes on the street. Lizzie goes so far as to compliment a girl who is being mean while others would be mean right back. Lizzie smiles at Sad Sally's, she hugs Unhappy Hanks. She is a complete sweetheart. Lizzie is the shoulder to cry on, always there with advice. She likes to take care of her friends, always making sure they're healthy and happy. Though she doesn’t accredit it to this, it’s because Lizzie herself can be such a mess sometimes and there isn’t always somebody there for her. She doesn’t want anybody else to have to go through that.
Lizzie isn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box. She's good enough at math, particularly addition and subtraction, but beyond that... well, let's just say she's not in a senior year math class like she should be. She loves the alphabet mostly because of how she was taught it; some people find it stupid that she remembers something so insignificant from her childhood. Lizzie ignores those people. She doesn't care much for grammar, whereas her twin seems to correct it quite often, nor is she a fan of history. Really, Lizzie just gets through school as best she can but she doesn't go out of her way to be top of the class.
Lizzie calls it bad luck but others sometimes just think her crazy for it. It’s almost as if Lizzie knows something is about to happen before it happens. Unfortunately, it’s never a good thing. It’s always relating to herself and it’s always painful. Whether it be pricking her finger or hitting her hip on a desk, Lizzie will react before it’s happened. Usually, it’s a yelp of pain or a string of her version of curse words followed by an apology. She’s stopped explaining because people either don’t believe her or just chalk it off as Lizzie being Lizzie.
past
Lizzie loved Hartland. It was cozy and quaint. A place where everybody knew each other and they were all very polite. She got along quite well with older women rather than girls her age. Girls her age didn’t care so much for gardening whereas women had knowledge of flowers Lizzie had never heard of. Growing up with a twin and a younger sister was splendid. Though they sometimes had their spats, as all siblings will, Lizzie loved them both dearly and equally. One might except her to love her twin more but Lizzie felt all things needed to be fair and so she treated Pig with just as much love and respect as she did Mary Anne.
There were a lot of lessons on manners and etiquette, what to do and what not to do. Lizzie learned easily enough but she sometimes found it all to be very boring. Due to this, she was a bit slow to react when social situations required what she’d learned. Unlike Mary Anne, Lizzie didn’t bother to use the correct spoon unless otherwise told. Church sent her mind reeling for none if it hardly ever made sense to her. More often than not, she’d let her mind drift, wondering just what poem she’d be reading if she weren’t here right now.
Unlike Mary Anne and Pig, Lizzie looked forward to the move. She was excited, even. A new environment, new people, new things to learn. A place where, perhaps, she wouldn’t be alone in her love for gardening and reading. Mary Anne threw a temper tantrum and Pig was quite irritable. Lizzie did her best to paint the States in a good light for her sisters but it seemed a lost cause. Once they’d arrived and settled in, Lizzie took to exploring the streets of New York, smiling at strangers and becoming friends with the people next to her on transport.
present
Since moving to New York, Lizzie has settled in nicely. She’s in her last year of school at Baum Academy. The school was perfect for her, letting her move at her own pace (especially in math) and helping her along the way. As all teenagers will, she had her bouts of stubbornness and rebellion but they were very brief. Lizzie was just meant to be in the background, playing with her tangled hair and thinking of poems or gardening. She has friends though they always seem to be too busy to spend time with her. Lizzie doesn’t mind; more often than not, it’s parties that she wouldn’t care to attend anyway.
Lizzie calls her parents every day and she visits them as often as she can. Being at Baum has limited her time spent with them. However, Lizzie immensely enjoys seeing her sisters every day. Whether she sees them in the halls or finds them at lunch, Lizzie tends to go out of her way to say hello. She’s still just as friendly as she was in England, perhaps more so. She doesn’t quite understand that people in New York don’t really want a strange girl talking to them. There is such a thing as personal space and Lizzie sometimes completely disregards it.
family
Albert Spencer ;; Lizzie’s father works in the tea business and it’s what she knows him for. He always smelled like teabags and she was always the one to make him cups of tea whether or not he’d asked for one; she just knew. Lizzie feels that she’s closest to her father.
Victoria Spencer ;; Lizzie enjoyed watching her mother designing wedding dresses more than anything. Sometimes, she’d be asked for an opinion and other times she was shooed from the room for asking too many questions.
Mary Anne Spencer ;; Lizzie’s twin sister, though exact in appearance, they are not at all alike in personality. Despite their differing attitudes, Lizzie loves her twin dearly.
Pig Spencer ;; Lizzie gets along well enough with her younger sister, who she calls Pig just as she likes. They aren’t thick as thieves but they get along better than Mary Anne and Pig do and that’s all Lizzie could ask for.

book title Through the Looking Glass
backstory In Alice’s dream, the White Queen is shown as good-tempered and she’s a bit of a mess. Her hair is all over the place and her clothes aren’t on right. Alice plays in the chess game as the White Queen’s daughter, Lily. The White Queen lives backwards (i.e: she feels pain before anything hurts her). She used to believe in impossible things every half hour and of at least six before morning. In the end, we learn that the White Queen was such a wreck because the white kitten from the beginning, Snowdrop, was still being bathed.
