Mary Anne, quite unfortunately, led a very stressful lifestyle. Now, she had known this would be the result of moving to the godforsaken city of New York from the moment it had been proposed. She had known that the vehemently sinful men and women of the city would corrupt her soft and gentle nature and that she wouldn't be able to do a thing about it. She liked to think that someday the Lord would grant her the serenity to overcome the high-strung lifestyle of the heretics she was forced to interact with each day, but until then she liked to take time to decompress. She knew that God worked tirelessly to provide such small miracles as the soothing effects of a perfectly maintained garden, and she felt it was perfectly horrid to forget to take time to respect that work every once in a while. When one wasn't preoccupied with the rampant whoredom in His cities at least.
So far the day seemed to be going splendidly. The park was a visage of beauty and perfection as always; impeccably groomed in order to provide an utter contrast between the barbarity of the grey cement and such outside the park limits. Today was perfect for a bit of a family outing with her wonderful sister. She felt positively tickled pink that she was able to spend some time with Lizzie for once, without any of that school nonsense getting in the way or any buffoonish young men who acted like they had never been properly taught how one is to behave in a public setting. She felt like she hardly ever got to see her darling twin any more. Mary Anne was always too busy with her various organizations and duties to the public to teach them how to properly stow away their sexual urges. It was a shame really. She knew that it was just as important to spend time with Lizzie as it was to spend time appreciating the Lord's great green treasures.
Mary Anne leaned in to take a great sniff of a wondrously beautiful rose blossom. She took a prodigious whiff of the flower's scent.
"Hey, whaddaya' think you're doin' there, Missy?"
Mary Anne straightened up, confused and not really knowing where the voice had come from. It had seemed startling close and surprisingly adamant.
"Lizzie? Darling? Did you say something?" Mary Anne hesitantly asked, looking around for where her sister had vanished off to. The mysterious, phantom voice had her slightly confused and more than a bit perturbed.
