SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME It was probably suffice to say that November Starr had a few issues. Anyone who had gotten the full-force, or even a minimal force of her snark, sarcasm, or biting smartassery could vouch for that easily. And as much as she tried to move on from her past, she had to admit whenever the topic came up that her family was the source of most of her more melodramatic moments. Though this had made her many enemies over the years, lately it had somehow managed make her more friends. The first of these was Melissa, and now that she knew she was another storybook character November didn't feel nearly as insane. Plus, Nov didn't often have girls for friends. The second had been Jackson, and their hot chocolate and feelings sessions were amazing and deep and just plain great so far. With Jackson came Grace, and Ozzie, and with Ozzie came Andie. And she was very happy in this circle. She'd even fixed a laptop for him, along with one other...
The other belonged to a kid named Chandler Antrim, who seemed to prefer Jay. Honestly, she preferred Chandler. It made her think of Friends and she it honestly made her more comfortable with him, if that made any sense. Maybe she'd gotten to know that character so well that every Chandler was going to feel at least a little familiar? Not that she actually knew Chandler of Friends anymore. What was his last name? Bing, right? That annoying chick he dated said it in an episode the other day... Yup, Bing. Like Crosby, but as a last name instead of a first. Anyway, the Chandler part of Jay just seemed more likable, more real. She wasn't sure why.
She'd bonded with Jay after a sort of snob in the cbox kept complaining about her oppressive mother. And honestly, Nov got it and felt some pity for her. But she just kept on and on and on. So eventually, after they'd initially noticed their similar reactions, both Nov and Jay had finally said, "at least you HAVE a mother." Which wasn't exactly true in Nov's case. In fact, she'd had two. But neither ever could or did pay enough attention to her for her to feel like their daughter. She honestly couldn't help but resent them for it, even when they couldn't help it. And that bitterness had come out in sentence identical to his. And thus they were dubbed secret twins. By Jay, but by November in her head as well. The next topic that had really come up was that of a form of stress relief she greatly enjoyed.
Breaking shit.
Namely, breaking shit with a spiked bat she'd made for a school project. That had been a fun project. Experimenting the effects of different weapons on an old car.
Well, now they were going to an abandoned apartment building for a little recreation. Illegal recreation, but no one lived there so it was fine, right? She'd already snagged two bikes that had been left unchained, one for her, one for Jay, and that wasn't exactly legal. She hoped Gracie had a bike. Nov was waiting by the fountain in the Baum courtyard, and didn't feel like walking (or even biking) to get a third. She'd leaned the two up against the fountain along with her adored spiked bat and inspected them. They were pretty nice. One a deep purple, the other a firey red. She was pretty sure she knew which Jay was going to pick. November sat next to them on the side of the fountain, and pulled her jacket closer to her body. It was already 9 AM, but it still felt cold to her. She'd worn a tank top under because she was pretty sure she wasn't going to be cold once they got going, but right now it was inconvenient.
God, they'd better get here soon. If Gracie'd chickened out she would NOT be happy, and if Jay didn't show up either she would find her own building and start beating the shit out of it, abandoned or not. She'd probably find a junkyard car, actually. Or these bikes... No, they were too pretty. Junk car or building. She needed something solid that she could knock down. It was way more satisfactory.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chandler was a typical teenager dealing with all the usual dramas of high school, but underneath that he was far more damaged than he cared to show. Jumping foster families only to end up to one that treated him right, yet deep down all he wanted as to be on his own. They supplied him with a home that he could escape to when his dormitory just couldn't suffice, an education that would propel him farther in life, and a since of stability that he had never known before. He truly appreciated them for all they did, but for Chandler... pieces were still missing. Like, the knowledge of his real parents. He fought himself on if he truly missed them. He repressed the feelings, but when one simply peeled down a few layers then they could see the truth.
Chandler was just a lonely boy. A lonely boy frightened by the idea of truly being alone. He luckily had Dan, his best friend and roommate, and the others, like Magic Jack and Ozmosis. However, out of all his friends, Dan was truly his most precious and valued one. He stuck with Chandler in times of depression, when Chandler hit an all time low. Dan was there when Chandler would wake up from nightmares panting and crying. Chandler knew that Dan was weary and uncomfortable when Chandler would curl up next to him in bed, but for the seventeen year old... Dan was warding off demons. Chandler tried his damnedest to get to the same level as Dan, and he works daily to perfect his signing... yet it only seems to fall short.
Chandler is an emotionally driven individual that does outrageous things for attention and self gratification. He was so determined to get attention that he calls himself, 'Jay.' An alias that he uses to keep outsiders from having a link to his... true self. For Chandler, 'Jay' was a mediator that was him, yet deep down... wasn't. Jay acted like a gateway for Chandler to meet new people without growing attached to them... It stripped away the vulnerability that came with opening up. Many knew him as Jay, but few called him Chandler. He liked it that way and kept it that way... except during a late night chat room session.
He usually kept his distance and played the card of cocky and arrogant ass hat, which he maintained for a while. It wasn't until some snobby fucktard decided to get all whiny and bitchy about her perfectly perfect life.
Grace Adams.
Her name even screamed... "STUCK UP BITCH!" And the 'pinky-and-nose-up' attitude towards Chandler just caused the boy to grit his teeth and grow a deep shade of crimson. While she whined and complained about her life, Jay just inserted his sarcastic comments, until enough was enough. Chandler took back over and he was just as nasty with his words... yet Chandler has this gene that doesn't allow him to be a complete heartless prick. Instead, he reasoned with the girl and decided to play nice. He made her an offer that if she skipped out on some photoshoot (har-har-har) to go break some shit in an abandoned apartment complex, then he'd pretend to by her boyfriend to get some nasty lesbian rumor off her record.
She played it... like a stuck up fucktard would and was all: 'Oh, but I can't. Because...Because... Mother wouldn't allow and Father... Oh. Father would be so ashamed.' He imagined that's how her mind operated... Horrible acting and melo-dramatic situations... Too bad life wasn't like that... Life was cut-and-dry. Either you did it or you packed your shit and headed home. Chandler wasn't for excuses or being stood up... Luckily he had another person.
November Starr.
Funny cause in Chandler's mind... He name reminded him of some gas station hooker with two kids and a 'over-sized' surprised tucked back between his/her thighs. Even better, he got along with the girl in the most fucked up way... No mother. It got them going... until eventually, they came to terms that secretly they were twins. They shared common interests and even... enjoyed the idea of breaking shit. They both understood the art behind it and just how stress relieving it was. So, under strict instruct and deadlines, the three were to meet at the Baum Academy fountain (bikes at the ready) for them to ride together to the abandoned apartment complex just near the northern tip of Brooklyn.
Chandler had been up early slipping through some poor dormmate's stuff that he decided was best left in the room. He took a watch, some necklaces, and a nice iPod with headphones. He rode his 'borrowed' bike to the local pawn shop and pawned the items off for some pocket change.. He pocket a nice sixty four dollars and some loose change. It was a nice victory, but it cost if a few extra minutes as he ran a bit behind schedule, yet he wasn't one to be too late. He pedaled like a mad man and ended up coming up to the fountain and a lone female on her bike. It was November, his secret twin.
"So, you must be November Starr. Secret Twin and Fellow shit breaker. Chandler announced as he skidded to a stop and eyed her for a moment. Pretty, yet average... In his mind the perfect girl if only they weren't twins.

________________________________
Gracie was shaking like a leaf in the middle of a windstorm. She finally was able to go to bed around the time she was supposed to get up for her shoot. Waking up two hours later, she rolled out of bed and tossed her hair up in a ponytail before nervously checking her phone. She figured a shower was unneeded considering their activities. Though Gracie did sprits a bit of apple smelling body spray on before changing into a simple gym outfit. She felt so plain and normal. It actually felt good. She turned around in her mirror and decided she was good enough to kick in some windows or whatever. She did a Rocky boxing pose and laughed. Watching her ponytail rock and forth, she remember what Nov had said. No ponytails, time to let your hair down. It seemed reasonable. Gracie pulled out the elastic and let he long orangey red locks fall to her shoulders. She only looked for a second before taming it with her brush. It wasn’t to bad today.
A real smile spread across Gracie’s lips as she unchained her bike and rode it to the fountain. She was nervous but really excited too. The rush of rebellion was starting to intoxicate her. Who even cared if this was the worst idea ever. Seeing her crush since freshman year without make-up or even nice clothes to hang out for the first time. Really? It seemed less than ideal. Though there was that November girl. She was pretty and quirky. Definitely quite a different quirky than Gracie tended to be around as her mom called them “lower class citizens”. She always said things that offended people and did things that frustrated them. She really couldn’t do anything right around the normal people of the world. It was pretty pathetic.
Realizing this, Gracie pulled to a stop and her stomach lurched. Nov and Jay were there already. What if they had been waiting a long time? Oh that would be so rude. They should have just left without her. Though she was sort of glad they didn’t. The sight of Chandler Antrim set her heart stuttering. Oh damn, did she have it bad. Gracie had know idea when she really started liking him. He was the street rat ophan that her mother would have hated. Maybe he had bad boy appeal or something. She actually hated him when she first met Chandler. They’d been paired up for a project and she asked for a different partner. It was a bitch move but she found she couldn’t stand even being next to him. She was denied the chance to skip out and begrudgingly dealt with it. After the first few days, the line between hate and love blurred. His eyes and crooked smile, fun way of dealing with tough things (“Screw this math, let’s burn our project after this is done okay?”) and the way he gave her a chance without judgement, let’s just say Grace fell hard and fast. Though Chandler found out about her wanting to change partners from Gracie’s ugly, insensitive teacher and she soon earned the venom that he now liked to use when saying, “Grace Adams.”
Getting slightly distracted, She nearly fell off her bike but her years of modeling lessons wouldn’t allow her. Wouldn’t that have been nice though? She fell off and Chandler came to see if she was okay and then they’d both laugh it off? But no, instead she walked--strutted up to them and sat down. Her shaking was back with a vengeance but she managed to hide it well. “Hey,” she said in a less confident voice than she looked.“So, smashing things huh?” ________________________________ notes;; sooooo short >.< outfit;; causal tags;; nov & chandler

SOMETIMES I FIND IT HARD• to believe there's someone else who could be •JUST AS MESSED UP AS ME November whistled to herself as she stared at the bike next to her. What if they both brought their own bike? Chandler had said something about that being a bit of a problem, she thought, but he probably had his way of obtaining things as she did. They got along so well after such a short period of interaction that it was hard for her to think of something they might not have in common. You know, besides gender-specific things like certain genitals.
Nov inwardly facepalmed at this thought. Why would she have that thought now? It was messed up, especially since she'd only met him on the internet. Ugh. And now the bad thoughts had gotten going and weren't about to stop. She tried to direct her thoughts back towards a safe topic, but the more she told herself not to think about it, the more it came up. Goddammit, was everything she did automatically set up to turn awkward in an instant? 'Puppies! Cupcakes! Unicorns! Fields of Cotton Candy and Lollipops! penis. NO! KITTENS! GODDAMN..... CHINCHILLAS! MICE! OWLS! Ew, no, those shouldn't go together. ICE CREAM! ELEPHANTS! GIRAFFES! PYGMY GOATS! GECKOS!'
As she continued to rattle off the long list of cutesy things in her mind palace, a sudden movement in the corner of her eye made her jump. It was him. On a bike. 'Well, I figured I'd fuck that part up. Hopefully Gracie forgot. Or was afraid to get caught by mommy.' He was a little different than she'd expected. Mostly taller. Taller hair, too. Then, she tended to imagine everyone at her eye level when she talked across the computer. Wishful thinking, usually.
"So, you must be November Starr. Secret Twin and Fellow shit breaker."
She grinned. Yep, they would get along in person, too. "That's me. And you must be Jay, or Chandler, Antrim. Gotta say I prefer Chandler, but whatever you'd prefer is fine. By the way, I'm perfectly aware that my name sounds like a stripper name. Maybe high-class hooker. I swear it isn't a fake," She said, cutting herself off when she noticed that she was unusually talkative today. Maybe it was the secret-twin-ism.
Before she could talk even more, the Gracie girl showed up. Thank God. She'd been worried about her guts, but it looked like she had enough to at least show up. She kind of screamed arrogance and pretentious bitch just in her walk, but Nov noted a hint of shaking. She'd experienced it herself in her worst days, and felt a twinge of sympathy for the girl. Still, everything else about Gracie's appearance turned November off, so she just smiled politely.
“Hey. So, smashing things huh?”
"Wow, does no one introduce themselves anymore?" She joked, then chuckled in case she scared the obviously nervous girl. "I kid. Gracie, right? I'm November. Glad you showed up. Though it looks like I don't need this extra bike after all, then." She said, sighing in annoyance at her wasted effort. "Oh, well. The kid I borrowed this from is known for massive hangovers, so hopefully he'll think he just forgot to take it all the way back." She mused, pushing the red bike away and grabbing the purple.
"So, then," November said, turning back to her companions for this escapade. "Shall we get going?"
