An interesting question. He was born in Bern, Switzerland. From the ages of 3 months to 2 years old he was raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. From 2 to 5 he was brought up in Prague, Czechoslovakia. From 5 to 9 he was in Montmarte, France. 9 to 14 he was in Geneva, Switzerland. At the age of 14 he was sent to New York City to attend Baum, to offer some stability, as suggested by his grandfather. In the summers he can often be found in either Canberra, Australia OR Vienna, Austria (depending on whether he is with his Mother or his Father).

BRILLIANT THOUGH YOU WOULDN'T KNOW IT:: He's a clever little shit. Five words have never described one person so much. Not that he has any real drive. His family provides a life that says he'll never have to work for anything. Being highly intelligent and born to privilege is not a very good combo, when mixed with the dysfunction that is the Reichenbach's. He does things, merely because he wonders if he can. Not like, be an hour late from curfew (pssht, what's curfew). Like, hack into a Swiss Bank account and order a shit ton of Pizza. You know, kid's stuff. To keep a low profile, despite being brilliant, he maintains a c-average. Most think him gay, though he does fromp with the ladies. He likes to keep people guessing. Beyond simply being savvy: He is fluent in French, German, Dutch, Russian, American Sign Language, and Portuguese. He is able to understand Spanish, Italian, and Czech. He's adept at astronomy, mathematics, poetry. His IQ is high, very high. It's clouded by hedonistic and deeply narcissistic tendencies, and thus put forth to no fantastic use.
ERRATIC:: Well, now the greatest five words to describe him is: Whatta mercurial shit he is! His moods jump around, quite sporadically. One moment he'll be a happy clam, then with no notice he'll be flinging shit across the room for the smallest infraction. He has little respect for human life, has no issue with hitting a woman, and will occasionally go and beat the shit out of the occasional bum. At the same time, he can be charming and flirtatious. He makes people believe what they want to believe. Sometimes he gets in too deep in his games, and can't help but break character and put on his own face.
A little messed up:: A very important thing about Christian: if he was hooked to a lie detector test, and you were to ask him if he loved anyone, he would reply no. And it would come up as a lie. That is because he is deeply enamored with his entrancing Aunt Eliza. She is learned, independent, lovely, and loves him deeply. Not that their relationship has ever been literally 'sexual'. But, there is an undertone of sexuality there, but no sex happens. He loves her because he can never have her. She is the epitome of beauty to him. Though, even minus Elizabeth's inappropriate relationship, Christian would be still a mess. His Father is a selfish bastard, very much like Christian himself, sans the intelligence. His Mother is a deaf former prostitute, who uses her son as a means of weaponry against his Father. And his Grandfather, oh Grandpa. The man who can get anything, for anyone. How her procured his fortune is a mystery to most. He declares himself as a life style consultant, but anyone who hears that can instantly call bullshit. In actuality, he acts as a diplomat to the worldly mafia's. If they have a problem that they want fixed, he makes it work. He's intelligent, charming even in his old age. And he taught his only Grandchild everything he owned, in hopes that Christian would carry on the business.

Christian's entire life, has been a prelude to a destiny decided at the moment his conception was made aware of. Thus why Edward was forced to marry an American Prostitute. Adolfo only wanted a Grandchild. His no account son might not be a prodigy, but he was a useful sperm donor. That said, all of Edward's affairs were made a record of. Sounds drastic? Definitely. Is it what happened? Absolutely. Edward and Jane were married when she was seven months pregnant, and they moved to Switzerland. It was in Bern that Christian Reichenbach was born.
The marriage was an uneasy one, though Christian was generally in the care of his Grandfather or Teenage Aunt. Edward could not be trusted, and a whore most certainly couldn't be. Christian was far too important, for prodigal reasons. He, from an early age, was doted upon.
The family unite moved often. They'd make a home base, and travel away from there on a regular basis. His passport looks like a rainbow. He became well learned in languages, cultures, diplomacy. It was SO BORING. Once, as a child, while having dinner with one of his Grandpa's associates, the five year old Christian decided to liven up the party by removing the associates wife's shoe and stuck a strawberry on her big tow. Her reaction was quite funny. And Christian was never scolded. In fact, he was denied NOTHING.
His precocious nature was nourished, however. Whenever he didn't feel like it, his Grandfather would send in the cavalry. IE, his Aunt. The only woman who ever understood him. By the age of seven, his parents were long divorced. His Father was unaffected, his Mother made out big. Out of his parents, Christian preferred his Mother, and would with a happy grimace have lunch with her. But never anything like Eliza. Eliza understood him, loved him like they never could. They'd have sleeping parties, and go shopping, and visit museums. She gave him his first computer, and congratulated his first hack job. She taught him there was a thrill in a rush.
By the time puberty fell into place, Christian was in love.
He learned early on, very early on, that if you offer little it set the bar for what people expect. No one knows his full potential but his Aunt, though he doesn't exactly know that his Aunt is reporting to Adolfo.
Besides Eliza, Adolfo has proven to be a great influence on Christian's life. Great as in abundant, not as in fantastic. Adolfo has, to date, been married to six women. His first wife, Christian's actual biological Grandmother, he never knew. She died when he was an infant, but had not spoken to the Reichenbach's since her own son was in infancy. She was tucked away, practically banished back in her home land of Spain, after she made the divorce between herself and Adolfo difficult. He also never met his second Grandmother, who died soon after his Aunt's birth, long before Christian's birth. She is never discussed, and it is rumored amongst the staff that Adolfo murdered her for her infidelities. The first Grandmother Christian has any record of was Jeanette Simone. She was young, beautiful, French. Adolfo's three truest loves. She died, in childbirth, with the baby, when Christian was five. It was a true testament of Adolfo's love, that he waited two years before remarrying.
Annette was very kind to Christian, and well liked. She was an online bride, who looked fabulous on paper, but when she came, Adolfo found her utterly unappealing. After a six month stint of marriage, the marriage was terminated. However, unlike with Catalin, Annette was given a great amount of respect as she made no fuss about the divorce(mostly because she was twenty, and married to a fifty one year old grandfather). She is still invited over for holidays, sent gifts often, and called Adolfo's 'Dearest Sister'. He soon after married the lovely, but frivolous nineteen year old Kat Howard. Who, very much like Adolfo's second wife, had many affairs. But Adolfo's eyes were blinded by charm for five years, until evidence was brought forth. Soon after Adolfo inquired on the legitimacy of these claims. Whether or not she fessed up is unknown, but what is known is that Kat died about a month later of a heart attack. Christian was ten.
That was Christian's world.
One moment his fifty six year old Grandfather was married to a twenty four year old, blond-busty-barbie. The next, that same perfectly healthy twenty four year old, blond-busty-barbie has a heart attack soon after upsetting him. The law barely investigated. It was attributed to natural causes, and a significant amount of money missing from their bank account
Money rules the world.
His Grandfather's series of marriages, and his and his Aunt's strange relationship, gave young Christian a very skewed perception of the world.
When he was fourteen, Christian was sent to an American Boarding School, to give him a sense of much needed stability and interaction with peers his own age. He hates it, finding it dull, and would find ways to entertain himself.

For the last three years, Christian has been attending Baum Academy.
He is remarkably unnoticed by his teachers, maintaining c-average grades. He dates often, but its a frequented rumor that he is gay. Though, if he wants a girl to think he is not gay, it isn't to difficult. Few things are as stupid as a teenage girl. In his free time he listens to various Opera's, his favorites being of the dashing romantic hero Don Juan. He is also a great fan of the violin. He detests modern music, finding it mind numbing and droll.
He longs for something fun to do with his day. Something interesting. Of course, being a narcissistic prick, it would be hard pressed to find someone or something to make it worth his while.
On another note, he has a new Grandmother, named Katrina, who is never called Kat and always Trina. She is quite grounded for a twenty four year old (the age Kat died), and is French and blond and beautiful (like Jeanette). People are replaceable, no matter how beloved.

Annette Cleves from Germany (alive, living quite well after a friendly divorce). Katherine (Kat) Howard from the UK (died of a mysterious heart attack at the age of 24). His Grandfather loves young, bewitching, beautiful women.
Father -- Edward Reichenbach. An artist. Married once, divorced once.
Mother -- Jane Capet (formerly Reichenbach). A former Prostitute, now an mildly successful cafe owner in Vienna. Deaf, fluent in ASL.
Aunt -- Elizabeth Reichenbach-Botwin. His Aunt. He has a rather inappropriately close relationship with her. Arguably his favorite person.

backstory Professor James Moriarty was only in 2 of 60 of Sherlock Holmes's stories, and despite this is his greatest enemy. Even as so far as called 'The Napoleon of Crime'. Why is that? BECAUSE HE IS A BAMF, THAT'S WHY! THE CLUB COULD NOT HANDLE MORE THAN TWO BOOKS WITH MORIARTY IN THEM!!!! Holmes, in the first book Moriarty made an appearence in, messes with his business (English Mafia. It exists.). Not cool bro. Then in the second one (SPOILERS), after an exciting pursuit, (SPOILERS) they FALL TO THEIR DEATHS IN THE MIDST OF MORTAL COMBAT.
