BubblyMaddie is an extremely bubbly person. She always seems full of energy, and she’s eager to share it with whoever she can talk to. Sometimes this can get on peoples’ nerves, but Maddie usually seems completely oblivious to this fact, whether she really is or not, she won’t tell. Other times, her energy is infectious and she makes instant friends with those around her.
EagerMaddie is also extremely eager. Whether that’s for a part in the ballet or just eager to go somewhere, she’s a handful. It goes in part with her bubbly personality, as her eagerness is directly related to her overabundance of energy. However, it can get kind of annoying sometimes. She’s always up for the next new thing and eager to finish it, so some think it’s annoying. Others find it endearing, so it kind of balances out.
KindAlways one to volunteer, Maddie is seen as a very kind and generous person. She volunteers a lot at homeless shelters and soup kitchens serving whoever she can, along with volunteering at the animal shelter where she helps nurse neglected animals back to health. She also volunteers at the dance studio with the younger kids sometimes. Though it’s not saving any lives, she has a passion for dance and loves to share it.

Maddie grew up in a little suburb of Oklahoma City. Her parents were extremely religious and sent her to a catholic school, which Maddie hated with a passion. Though she hated it, she went along with it because her parents said that if she did, they would sign her up for dance lessons. Maddie threw herself into her schoolwork, becoming one of the top kids of her class. In doing so, her parents signed her up for ballet at her request. Between school and ballet, Maddie worked hard. She would come home with blisters on her feet and calluses on her hands from writing, but she did the best she could at both.
When she got to high school, everything changed. The catholic school only went up to eighth grade, so she had to go into public school after that. At first she was teased for being a catholic school girl, but they got over it once she got on the dance team. She was one of the most skilled dancers, so when she was only a sophomore, she was elected team captain. Boys came and went, but she still held on to her virginity, which was almost unheard of in the high school. She was pretty enough to have almost any guy she wanted, though she just wasn’t interested. All she wanted to do was dance.
Junior year came and went, and then senior year started. Right out of the blue, her mother got cancer. It was a kind not easily gotten rid of, and her mother died at only age 37. Maddie was hit hard when her mother passed away. She was an only child and her father didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t very well give her up for adoption since she was already almost out of the house, so he just became even more detached. Growing up, he had been in and out, but mostly away at work. Once and a while he ruffled her hair, but she was really only close to her mother. So as she searched for colleges, her father was out working, as he was a doctor, or in his office. She wanted to get as far away from Oklahoma as she could, so she chose an obvious choice. A school in New York.

During her freshman year, Maddie awakened. It was hard for her to adjust at first, but then she just decided to accept it with open arms and see where it took her. Her dancing became better and she started helping with lessons for the younger children at the Dance School. She never called her father, but he routinely put money into her account. He was paying completely for her tuition and even gave her more than she needed for her day-to-day activities. He felt guilty that he wasn’t there for her when her mother died, so he gave her exuberant amounts every month. This didn’t really matter to Maddie. It couldn’t help the fact that he wasn’t there for her even when her mother was.
Now she works hard at Barrie, majoring in Nursing. It’s not that she wants to be like her father who happens to be a doctor, but because of her need to help people. She wants to make people comfortable when they are in need, and help them with whatever they happen to need at the time. She also works at Dans dans la Paix, where she works the front desk, along with helping with lessons from time to time. She also takes lessons there for the advanced students, but she likes helping more than she likes learning. It’s not like she hasn’t had enough schooling. Her dream is to sometime be part of a large ballet company, but her father doesn’t approve. He wants her to finish at Barrie first and set up a successful job. Maddie knows she can’t be dependent on her father’s money forever.
