physical...[/b][/size] Guillermo pretty much towers over his fellow Mexicans. He's 6'2, which makes him seem like a giant with lots of his people, but his friends were always close to him in size, so it wasn't so noticeable. He's built pretty slim, but don't let that fool you. He's lean and wiry, and he can definitely hold his own in a fight. He's got shaggy dark hair and brown eyes, pretty standard for his ethnicity.
clothing style...[/b][/size] Honestly, he usually goes for some sweatpants or jeans, but he's started dressing nicer, since he wants a better job. But he's still a t-shirt sort of fellow.
defining traits...[/b][/size] Guillermo's got some battle scars from fights when he was young. He also has a few tattoos: a "J" between his shoulder blades (it's for his sister, but as far as she knows, it means "Juarez"), a rose on either side of the "J" (one with an "E" and one with an "M"), and "Salas-Ortiz" in Old English lettering across the top of his shoulder blades.[/blockquote]

personality...[/b][/size] Guillermo is quite different than he was two years ago. He was known for being rather ruthless to anyone and everyone. He liked drinking and sex and didn't care who he had to hurt to get it. But Guillermo has grown up significantly and in growing up, he's come to show his compassionate side. Even he was surprised by how big his heart actually is. But don't be fooled. He can still revert back to his old ways, he's not always cuddly. He has a mean temper and sometimes he says stupid things. Come on. What do you expect? He's still a guy.
life until now...[/b][/size] Guillermo was born in 1989 to Enrique and Florencia Salas-Ortiz. Enrique was 20 at the time of Guillermo's birth, where as Florencia was only 17. She didn't take well to becoming a mother and went through a lot of postpartum. When Guillermo was four, Florencia told both him and his father that she hated them and walked out the front door. Neither of them has seen her since. Shortly after, Enrique remarried, in an attempt to soothe his aching heart. Jenyfer was born not even a year later. However, when Guillermo was twelve, his stepmother Lorena left as well, unable to bear Enrique's depression. After that, it was just Guillermo, Jenyfer and Enrique.
And Guillermo liked it that way. His half-sister attempted to set up his father often, but Guillermo scared them away. He turned to drugs and alcohol, his friends began associating with gang members and soon he was in. The fighting and the other reckless behavior scared his father, but Guillermo was rebellious and there was little that a single father with 14 hour shifts could do. The angst-y teen strayed farther and farther from his family, going so far as to publicly humiliate his sister and father when he felt like it.
Eventually though, he realized that life in the gang wasn't all it was cracked up to be. He spent a week in jail as his friends attempted to bail him out. In a moment of stupidity and sheer luck, he got out and took Cecil and Antonio with him. He decided then to leave the state. And off to New York he went.
the present...[/b][/size] Guillermo's new life has been something. He met this girl, Rose Mercer, and though they started out as "neighbors-with-benefits", he fell head over heels for her. The two had a rocky relationship, but after months of separation, Rose returned with the news that she was pregnant. Guillermo and Rose got back together and had another surprise. Not only was Rose pregnant, she was pregnant with TWINS. Nevertheless, they stuck it out, with the help of Seth and Jenyfer. Once the twins (Enrique Fernando and Mariella Jenyfer) were born, Guillermo decided that they needed a slightly better place with more room, so they found a new apartment. The new family is a little less cramped without Seth and Jenyfer, but they visit often. Guillermo is going to school and working two jobs, while Rose is working at her uncle's garage, but still staying home with the twins most of the time.

title... The Wizard of Oz
backstory... Basically, the Witch made him chop himself up and he replace the missing places with tin until there was nothing to replace. However, they forgot a heart (which, in retrospect, wouldn't have been much of a heart if it was made of tin) so the Tin Man goes with Dorothy to see if the Wizard of Oz will give him a heart, which he does (but it's rather a placebo). All in all, it's quite ironic, considering that the Tin Man is actually the mushiest of all of them.
