Without waiting for an answer, she grabbed three lavendar tops, three green tops (one had polka dots!!) and one gold top since the other ones were so sequin'd and too hard to look at. "But we can't get you just tops now, can we? We need some jeans too! And skirts, skirts are so presh." She went over to the jeans and grabbed three pairs in Aurora's favorite colors, then went to skirts and did the same, adding one extra one similar to the one she was wearing that she thought was cute. "Now go try these on, and tell me if you don't like something or you need a different size." Carly was skilled at guessing sizes, but she could never be sure. She handed her the enormous pile of clothes, hoping she could manage to carry all those cute precious things! She was a cute precious person so Carly was sure she could manage. "Oh! Shoes! We can't forget shoes! I'll find you some." She went over to the shoe section and grabbed boxes of pairs she thought were wonderlicious. "Come on, let's get you a dressing room, they're back here!" Carly loved shopping like Ozzie Wagers loved food, like Adriana Delacroix loved One Direction, like Stella Hines loved to run, like Jackson Hirsch loved G... no, that was still too awkward. So many levels. Plus, who she was shopping with today was obviously who he should love (not that she'd ever mess with someone's relationship, of course)! One of her brand new best friends, one of the cutest most precious people in the entire universe, Aurora Rigby! She heard that she went by the nickname Aura, but Aurora was so beautiful and so fitting, that Carly referred to her as such. They had recently become friends (oh my, Carly couldn't even remember how they started talking!), and Carly vowed to take the new girl under her wing and acclimify her to the big city. She was from a small town, after all, and it was so different, and a big move deserves some new clothes! That was definitely her division, as Andie Read would say.
So Carly did what she always did and invited Aura to go with her to the mall! She loved Grimm Avenue and only went to another mall if she was back in Los Angeles for a premiere or something of the like! The boutiques were all gorgeous and had the cutest clothes that weren't directly from a designer themselves. Luckily, her parents new movie was only in pre-production, so the tabloids weren't all over her. If it wasn't her, it was likely Georgia Princeton, and she didn't really wear white skirts and black cardigans and coral everything else, so she was safe. The hat hid her face and most of her hair, so the poor reporters who got assigned to waiting outside Baum until one of the celebrities did something interesting didn't recognize her.
When she and Aurora arrived at Grimm Avenue mall, Carly insisted they go to the third floor immediately. All the cute clothes are up there, and she didn't want them to get distracted as this was a mission for fashion and fashion only! She was smiling all the way up the escalator, that same smile that's always plastered on her face before she leaves her dorm. The same one she practices in the mirror as she's adjusting her outfit or her makeup.
With that thought, she adjusted her cardigan, like a phantom itch that you had to scratch once you thought about it. It had been a little uneven, though no one would have noticed unless they were really looking or they were Carly Barrett.
When they reached the third floor, Carly clapped her hands together and smiled. "Isn't it just so wonderful? There's Maurices, they have cute things. And Forever 21! Let's go there, you'll love it!" She practically skipped off, grabbing Aurora's arm and dragging her gently. This was one of her favorite stores in the whole world!
Immediately, she saw things she thought would look so super cute on Aurora. "Ooh, this cardigan with this top would look cute." She draped them over her arm, looked around, and spotted some more tops. "Oh, everyone needs something casual. And something flirty!" She draped those tops over her arms and turned to Aurora. "Oh! You need things in your favorite colors! Lavendar... green... what's the other one, darling? Is it gold? I bet it's gold. It looks complements your skin tone and not many people can wear it as nicely as you!"
