When baby Peter was born on June 22, 1992 in Brooklyn, mom walked out leaving him with his drugged up father as soon as the baby could walk. Things were tough as his father hardly took care of him. Young Peter was raised by the neighbors who introduced him to good music and taught him to play guitar. Virtuoso began to be his defining trait. Jamie skid by in high school, barely making the grades but not caring much. He started a band called Breathe and they became a hit almost instantly. Stress was high in the music business so Peter turned to the only thing he knew to help. Drugs. First he just started off doing the strong ones for fun but the high quickly became an addiction like it did for his father.
His addiction to illegal drugs tore the band apart. Peter was left to become his father. He slipped into a gang that did many things for money. They were shady and never used full names. They fought and stole among other things, all for the drugs. Peter made himself empty. He felt hollow. It wasn’t until his first love, Cleo Everett, left him did he finally decide to turn things around. He forced himself to detox and attended classes at Barrie University to get his life on the right path. When the drugs were all gone, Peter decided to start anew. He took the name Jamie and made himself be a kind, caring and fun-loving person who was generally worry-free and always positive. Some people considered him silly. He eventually became friends again with his ex Cleo.
His past began to haunt him more and more. Jamie continued to run from it, falling head over heels for a girl named Joey. It was a simple friendship at first that turned into a strong bond when the two were held at gun point by the gang Jamie once served. He soon realized no matter how far he ran, he couldn’t escape the life he made for himself. Joey and Jamie chose to through caution to the wind before he returned to the group. When he did they beat him nearly half dead. That’s when Jamie discovered Pinocchio and found his close friend Jemissa(J) was the boy’s loyal conscious, Jiminy Cricket. J was quick to take care of the batter and bruised Jamie begging him to run away with her. He nearly planned to until he learned that Joey was pregnant with his child. Jamie tried to reconnect with Joey but she soon ran herself.
Jamie fell down, broken into the arms of J who helped him through. He stood up for himself and turned in the gang that bullied him. He found his music again and his old band buddies. Jamie had finally faced his past. Now it was time to build his future.
