So.. This was born from the idea of Stella living with Silas. And I imagine that Silas wouldn't be fond of Stella dating, being the overprotective guy that he is. So basically it's Eddie picking up Stella for their first date.
Stella's Date Outfit
"Stella! What the hell are you doing in there?" Silas banged on the bathroom door, rolling his eyes.
"I'm getting ready for my date! So quit it!"
The answer came as a shock to Silas, who had never seen Stella do anything slowly, besides homework. She had gone out before, and it never took her this long. So what exactly was so special about this date?
Stella finally emerged from the bathroom. He was just about to start up with the teasing, when he raised his eyebrow at the sight of her. Anyone that knew Stella knew that she was a very colorful person, both in personality and style. She tended to clash a bit. Today, she mixed colors again, but it seemed more deliberate. Her long hair had been carefully curled and in between the ginger strands, she had fixed some purple curls as well.
She looked at him, obviously waiting for a response. When it was clear that he wouldn't be any help at all, she rolled her eyes in exasperation.
Silas was busy struggling with something. This little girl -and despite how young he was himself, he'd always think of her as such- was going on a date. And it was with a guy that she must really like, to be making such an effort to impress him.
"Silas, Eddie's going to be here any minute. Think I can borrow some cash, just in case?"
Stella's puppy eyes didn't do much for Manhattan, but they worked wonders on Silas. He pretended to be frustrated as he took his wallet out and gave her some bills, but ended up smiling at the beam on her face.
"Wait.. Eddie?" Silas's thick brows furrowed when he recognized the name, "Isn't that the kid who you hated? The one that you kept getting paired with in class and complained about constantly?"
His roommate's cheeks turned a pink color and she determinedly avoided his eyes.
"Yes."
"And.. you're going on a date with him?"
Silas wasn't sure his facts were straight.
"Yeah," Stella looked over at Silas and sighed, "Don't be a party pooper, Sy. I'm excited, okay?"
There was a knock at the door and Stella positively lit up.
"That's him. I'm going to get my bag. Be right back!"
She slipped out of the room and Silas went to the door and opened it. A teenage boy with dark hair stood there. Silas blatantly looked him up and down. He seemed well put together. But sometimes it was the quiet ones to watch out for. His eyes narrowed at Eddie. The boy gave him a somewhat confused look and Silas stuck out his hand. Eddie shook it, wincing at the pressure Silas applied.
"So. Eddie, huh? I've heard about you. Come on in."
Silas let him inside and the boy stood awkwardly as they waited for Stella.
"So.. She.. she lives with you?" Eddie asked, looking a bit awkward at the other young man's death stare.
"Yeah, she does."
Silas stepped nearer to Eddie, his voice low so that Stella couldn't hear from the other room.
"Stella is like a little sister to me. So you know that awkward and terrifying talk that you see in movies between the father and the boyfriend? Pretend we've had one of those, and you can guess how I feel about you right now. It's simple, really. If you look at her wrong, I'll castrate you."
He stepped back just in time for Stella to come back into the room.
"Sorry! I couldn't find my bag. Ready to go?"
Eddie gave a stiff nod and Stella stood on her tiptoes to hug Silas.
"I'll be back later."
"Call me if you need me, okay?"
Silas caught Eddie's eye and a devilish smile grew on his face.
"You kids have fun."
